Join us at Level Up Games to participate in one of our "Road to the World Series of Board Gaming" events! You can find out more info on the World Series of Board Gaming HERE This event will be focused on the following Ring Game: Azul Playing Azul: Event Competitors will play the Azul base game with NO expansions. Seating/start player will be determined randomly. Players will play the preprinted side of the board. In the case of a tie, the player with the most complete rows will win. In the case of a further tie, the tying player in the highest-numbered seat (seat 4 in a four-player game, etc.) will advance. About the game: Players are tile-laying artists commissioned to decorate the Royal Palace of Evora in Portugal. Tiles are chosen strategically; points are earned as tiles are placed on the palace wall and lost when tiles are wasted. The player with the most points at the end of the game is the winner. View the full Azul rule book . Event Details: Event will be a number of rounds based on participation that will end with a single overall event winner. All rounds are single elimination. Our event will be capped to a max of three rounds. Cost: $15 pre-registration / $20 day of event registration (if tickets remain) Prizes: Overall winner will receive a code for $50 credit to registering for an event at WSBG. If the event gets at least 10 pre-registered sign-ups we will look to increase the code credit to the overall winner. We will also give out gift cards and promos (when available) based on the overall number of participants. Details on gift cards will be announced prior to the event starting based on final event attendance. Other special prizes might also be announced closer to the event such as a ring game giveaway for an upcoming tournament. Northern Minnesota-based rockers Corey Medina & Brothers, Duluth favorites Boku Frequency and rising star Jon Edwards headline a night of amazing blues on the altar stage at 7 pm Saturday, May 17. Corey Medina & Brothers is a blues-rock band based out of Bemidji, Mn. The band is lead by Corey Medina who is a Diné/Navajo Native from Shiprock, NM. Medina recorded his first solo album in 2015, formed a group, and released two Corey Medina & Brothers records in 2019 and 2022. The band includes: Eric Sundeen on drums, Gary Broste on string bass and Brock Beaulieu on guitar/string Bass Power trio Boku Frequency performs a mix of psychedelic funk, greasy blues and down-and-dirty dance rock. The group has played across the Twin Ports for more than 20 years. The group is made up of Terry Gums on electric guitar, Thomas Harris on bass and Elliott Harris on drums. Duluth-based solo artist Jon Edwards performs on the 12-string and resonator guitars. Edwards released a debut album in 2024 . Daggerheart is a fantasy tabletop roleplaying game of brave heroics, made by Darrington Press, the creators of the hit series Critical Role . When it’s time for the game mechanics to control fate, players roll one HOPE die and one FEAR die (both 12-sided dice), which will ultimately impact the outcome for your characters. In addition to dice, Daggerheart’s card system makes it easy to get started and satisfying to grow your abilities by bringing your characters’ background and capabilities to your fingertips!
