Come create a tiny world inside a teacup! In this beginner-friendly needle felting workshop, we’ll be felting directly onto a soft felt ball that sits snugly inside a real teacup — creating the illusion of a mini landscape, garden, or whatever whimsical scene your heart dreams up.
We’ll provide everything: teacups, felting tools, wool roving in a rainbow of colors, and plenty of inspo to get your imagination going. You’ll leave with your own little handcrafted scene that’s cute enough to sit on a windowsill or gift to someone who needs a smile.
No experience needed — just come ready to stab some wool and get cozy.

Professor Sepper will explore the role and the power of the third branch of Government. Is that role changing in this era of Executive Branch challenges and overreach? Does the Judiciary provide a barrier to the attacks on the Rule of Law.

About Our Guest Speaker:
Professor Elizabeth Sepper
is a leading expert on religious liberty, health law, and gender equality. A professor at the University of Texas School of Law, she is widely known for her work on the intersection of reproductive healthcare and religious freedom, as well as the rights of women and marginalized communities in accessing public services and businesses. Her research sheds light on how laws and policies impact everyday rights—especially when it comes to healthcare, education, and public accommodations.
Her scholarship has been featured in top legal journals like the
Yale Law Journal
and
Harvard Journal of Gender & Law
, and she co-edited the book
Law, Religion, and Health in the United States
. Professor Sepper has practiced human rights law with a focus on women’s rights and has held prestigious academic fellowships, including at Princeton University.

After many opportunities for the community of Pflugerville to engage in the City of Pflugerville Strategic Action planning process so far, we are inviting community members to register to attend one (or both) of the two Focus Group sessions that are taking place on April 28th and April 29th at the Justice Center Court Room - 1611 E. Pfennig Lane Pflugerville, TX 78660. Both sessions will be held from 6:00pm – 8:00pm.
The sessions will be 2 hours and will cover the City of Pflugerville Strategic Action Plan process to date, followed by input by community members on the following Strategic Pillars:
NB: The Strategic Pillars have been developed as key areas of focus for the future of Pflugerville looking out to 2030 from the planning work carried out so far.

whose memoir "We Loved It All" is
a selection for this year's Mayor's Book Club.
Millet will be
joined by ocean scientist Juli Berwald in a conversation.
A book signing will follow with books available for purchase on site from Black Pearl Books.
Millet’s anti-memoir "We Loved It All" explores the pain and joy of being a parent, child, and human at a moment when the richness of the planet’s life is deeply threatened. Emerging from Millet’s quarter century of wildlife and climate advocacy, the book marries scenes from her life with moments of nearness to “the others” — the animals and plants with whom we share the earth.
Lydia Millet
has written more than a dozen novels and story collections. Her novel “A Children’s Bible” was a New York Times Best 10 Books of 2020 selection and shortlisted for the National Book Award. In 2019 her story collection “Fight No More” received an Award of Merit from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, and her collection “Love in Infant Monkeys” was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in 2010. She also writes essays, opinion pieces, book reviews, and other ephemera and has worked as an editor and staff writer at the Center for Biological Diversity since 1999. She lives in the desert outside Tucson with her family
Juli Berwald
is an ocean scientist and science writer based in Austin. She is the author of the science memoir "Spineless: The Science of Jellyfish and the Art of Growing a Backbone."

Dexter L. Jones is the Owner and Chief Executive Protection Officer of VIPS Personal Protection, LLC. A United States Marine Corps veteran, he honorably served during the Persian Gulf War era.
Dexter retired in 2021 from the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission as the Chief of Audit & Investigations, with 26 years of combined regulatory and law enforcement service. One of his most significant contributions was the development and implementation of a Special Investigations Unit, which focused on disrupting and dismantling organized crime within the alcoholic beverage industry through covert investigation techniques. His work in this field has been recognized by members of the Texas House of Representatives and Senate.
