We think the best relationships are forged when we are comfortable, relaxed and free of pressure. Preferring instead to think of the evening as a casual night out where one can truly be themselves. We do not use traditional 'speed dating' offerings such as bells, whistles and name-tags. Instead we focus on creating an atmosphere conducive to meeting others; a great venue, a personable host and a staff to assist.
Upon registration, you'll be sent an email inviting you to login to your mobile ‘Smart-Card’. As the event begins, log-in to your scorecard and let the flirting begin. You'll be able to choose whom you wish to meet again, to what degree you like them and have until midnight to submit your final selections for matching. Once the clock strikes midnight - return to our platform to see your matches. You can also access your profile via mobile, tablet or PC. Our platform isn't an app so it requires absolutely no downloading and can be accessed directly from our website, anytime.
Should you have any questions - feel free to ask away. Take the time before the event starts to settle in - have a beverage if you would like and mingle should you wish. Chat up our Hosts for tips or simply to ask, which direction the bar is in! After being shown to your table, the ladies will remain seated for the duration of the event. The gents move from lovely lady to lovely lady every six to seven minutes. Your mobile scorecard gives you the ability to see all the participants attending your event, upload your picture, make your selections and be notified of your matches all from your phone.
Don't fret about figuring out if the person is the one or the perfect person for you. Consider it the date before the date. If you choose someone and they chose you - it's a match. You will be given each others first name and email address. The rest is up to you.

For those that prefer the same simplified experience in Matchmaking, we offer our 'Date-Nights' free of contracts and commitments. With packages ranging from $818 CAD - $1299 CAD. For more information;

Stanley County Cutups | Times Change(d) High & Lonesome Club
Apr 19–Apr 20, 2025 (UTC-6)ENDED
Winnipeg
From hard drivin’ banjo solos to four part harmony singing, blues infused mandolin breaks and hair-raising fiddle tunes, this quintet covers all the bluegrass bases. Some nights, when the moon is just so, you can even hear the wail of a lonesome dobro. This group has been playing together in different capacities for close to 20 years and their performances have been described as “more than fine” and “refilling my folk music cup” by audience members. The Cutups include Jess Reimer on bass, Jeremy Hamm on mandolin and fiddle, banjo/dobro player Tim Osmond, fiddler Jeremy Penner and guitarist T.J. Blair. All sing two, three and four part harmonies in a bluegrass style over original compositions and traditional numbers. This group of veteran pickers have been involved in many different projects over the years, and to hear them come together to perform as a bluegrass band is sure to lure fans of The Stanley Brothers, Jim & Jesse McReynolds, Bill Monroe, Hazel Dickens and others from the bluegrass canon.

About the Artists
Andrina Turenne
is a Juno award-winning songwriter and singer who tells stories in a familiar spirit. Her songs and style are warm, and she has her feet firmly planted in more than one genre, moving seamlessly through each one. Her sound is distinctly rooted in her homeland of Manitoba, and Winnipeg, the gritty city where she grew up immersed in a vibrant and rich musical fabric. Andrina has spent over two decades honing her craft on countless stages, as well as in the recording studio, having lent her voice to over 50 albums and performing on five continents. In April 2023, she released her debut solo album Bold as Logs, which The Winnipeg Free Press described as an “intoxicating blend of bluesy, soulful R&B, rootsy rock and old-time folk music”. The album charted on independent radio in Canada and the US and was followed up with an EP called Je suis un arbre in 2024. She has composed for television, film and theatre, and in recent years has toured internationally appearing at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival and BigSound in Brisbane. Andrina is a powerful musician and vocalist who can rattle the roof, and simultaneously have you smiling through tears.
As a lyricist, singer-songwriter
Cassidy Mann
often reshapes a small moment into a powerful and poetic song that feels both personal and relatable. “My favourite thing is to write about tiny things that make the bigger picture more important somehow,” she says. Mann’s first EP “If It’s Not Forever” served as a catalogue of how her early relationships ended and why – and she hopes that other people feel seen and comforted by her stories. Certain moments in a relationship are almost always at the core of her songs, whether it’s the potential start of something special or the inevitable end.

TRANSMANITOBA
Trans Manitoba began as a grassroots collective of folks who believe the radical idea that Two Spirits, nonbinary people, and transgender folks should speak for ourselves and be seen as critical stakeholders in decisions made for our lives. We believe the personal is political. We advocate for systemic change to improve the lives of Manitobans of all genders through outreach, education, and political and legal action.
Trans Manitoba was originally founded in order to name a group in our human rights complaints against the province of Manitoba. Through the human rights complaint system, we are advocating for all provincial identification documents to offer a nonbinary gender marker or the option to remove gender markers; we are also advocating for equitable medical care for people of all genders.
In 2024, Trans Manitoba incorporated as a non-profit organization.
Trans Manitoba members come from many communities and bring a unique intersection of education, professional expertise, and lived experience to our work. Our knowledge comes from the following areas:

About Sargeant X Comrade Yolanda Sargeant is the Queen of Lo-Fi Soul, a genre that she and her producer Comrade (Evgeniy) pioneered after struggling to find an appropriate label that fit their eclectic style. The duo infuses jazz, soul, funk, dancehall, hip-hop, and other genres into a unique sound that seamlessly blends the old with the new. Sargeant’s rich vocals take center stage while Comrade’s production takes listeners on a multi-layered, genre-bending journey from beginning to end. Add some high-profile musicians and special features into the mix, and you have the Sargeant X Comrade formula—a distinctive sound that has earned them multiple awards and high praise from both fans and the music industry. PREVAIL)”UPCOMING ALBUMPOWER (VOLUME 1)OUT SPRING 2025Credit: Gino Bikovesso and Vince Raquel “What’s truly miraculous about the resulting songs... is that they often came together in burst of improvisation... the sounds somehow click together with energy and craft and maintain a sense of unpredictability even when the vibes are mellow.” – Calgary Herald March 21, 2025 –Lo-fi soul and funk duo Sargeant X Comrade are back with a mind-expanding music video, “Escape The Matrix Part 1 (feat. Prevail) via Mo Gravy Records. Directed by filmmaker Gino Bikovesso aka True Geneus, this video is a cinematic exploration of perception, reality, and the digital age’s impact on consciousness. The “Escape The Matrix Part 1” music video invites viewers to question everything they understand. Influenced by ancient philosophy and contemporary advancements in AI and quantum physics, the video encourages viewers to ponder the essence of existence. Speaking of the music video, Bikovesso reflects: “What is real? It is a query as old as time. From Plato's Cave to Keeanu Reeves movies, the human species has contemplated and attempted to explain reality for as long as we have been around. This video is a homage to this age old question and how we perceive what is real. Are we ready for the truth? The physical world may just turn out to be a collective hallucination or a very sophisticated computer simulation. We may never know. Whether you approach it from a more spiritual side or your views are based around science and logic, it is becoming apparent that there is something more behind our physical realm, hidden in the ethos, just out of reach for us to fully grasp and comprehend.” “Escape The Matrix Part 1” prefaces the upcoming album Power (Volume 1), set for release in Spring 2025, with Power (Volume 2) following in the Fall. This ambitious lo-fi-soul-funk album - their fourth LP release to date - draws inspiration from the art of Kung Fu, with themes revolving around inner harmony, discipline, and self-love. The record promises to be a groundbreaking addition to the duo’s ever-expanding discography.
