CELEBRATING 25 YEARS! The Medieval Rodeo 2025 , is an event that will take you back in time to the medieval era. This in-person event will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Medieval Land, 634 River Dr., Norco, CA 92860 . Get ready to witness an epic showdown of jousting knights, sword fights, and other medieval games. Don't forget to dress up in your best medieval attire to truly immerse yourself in the atmosphere. Gates open at 4:30pm which gives you time to grab a refreshment and start your bidding on the expansive choices of silent auction items. Dinner by the famous Berkley's Back Yard Barbeque will be available at 5pm . The exciting medieval action-packed entertainment by the Imperial Knights Production Company begins at 6:00 pm . Discover how the desert comes alive after dark! Do you know which animals change colors when you use a blacklight? Using blacklights, a Friends’ volunteer docent will begin a short walk on uneven cobbled desert terrain in the basin below the dike/levy looking for scorpions and other nocturnal creatures that inhabit our desert. This is a family friendly event. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Bring water, wear closed-toed shoes and a black light if you have one. If not, we will have a few black lights to share. Sorry, no dogs allowed on this trail. RSVP is required, check-in 15 minutes prior to start time . Scouts interested in earning this merit badge need to come to the program prepared. This means they should review the merit badge overview found on the JMDC website www.jmdc.org/downloads and bring to the program any requirements that are to be completed outside the program. Scouts should read the merit badge pamphlet prior to attending the program, and bring the pamphlet with them on the day of the merit badge program. Scouts should be prepared to discuss, explain and engage in program topic discussions to meet the requirements. If something is required to be written, it should be done prior to the program so it can be evaluated and discussed with the Merit Badge Counselor. Additionally, Scouts should have several of the Scouting 10 essentials with them. Something to drink, snack, and be ready to go outside if the Counselor chooses to do so. Uniform dress code is up to the Scout’s Unit. Regardless of Unit policy, JMDC is a family facility and we ask that clothing be family friendly.
