Wine & watercolour | High Bridge Works
Apr 30, 2025 (UTC+1)ENDED
Spruce Valley Township
Paintbrushes at the ready. What better way to practice mindfulness than by creating a little work of art? Amy Pearson is going to be sharing her story with us and then running a watercolour workshop.
Amy has been drawing and creating for as long as she can remember and has a degree in Fashion Design. During uni, she completed an internship with her favourite designer, Alexander McQueen (imagine) and had her eyes opened to the totally wild world of high fashion. After uni, Amy worked as a lingerie designer for a time before coming back to the North East and developing her style as an illustrator and independent artist.
Her workshop isn’t about creating a masterpiece – there are zero rules or expectations. It’s about the process and the experience which encourages you to relax and experiment. Amy will give us a few simple guided exercises to get the creativity flowing and the rest will be down to self-expression and giving it a go.
As always, there’ll be a delectable array of cheeses and wine/non-alcoholic options.
As per usual, we expect tickets to be snapped up so get cracking.
_
Our meet-ups are inclusive and supportive spaces and we welcome anyone who’s creative (in whatever form that takes) to join us. We also recognise that our male allies can support our cause further by hearing the thoughts and opinions voiced at our get-togethers. We only ask that our guests respect the inclusive atmosphere and continue to engage in discussion and idea generation for the promotion and support of equal opportunities for female and non-binary identifying creatives.

International data transfers training | Time central
May 1, 2025 (UTC+1)ENDED
Spruce Valley Township
Data protection legislation is complex enough without adding international data transfers to the mix. So it’s important to understand how your organisation can take steps to ensure it is compliant and protects the personal data it shares outside the UK.
This training session is for those who regularly deal with contracts – in particular entering into contracts with organisations (either internal or external) based outside the UK.

The training will help you understand:
Which countries have met the UK’s ‘adequacy regulations’
The purpose of the EU/US Data Privacy Framework and UK’s extension to it (data bridge)
Who is responsible for implementing the appropriate safeguards
What appropriate safeguards should be put in place (for example international data transfer agreements/addendums or binding corporate rules)
When to complete a transfer risk and/or data protection impact assessment.
Who should attend?
This training session will be helpful for anyone who manages international data transfers, including but not limited to:
Data Protection Officers (DPOs)
Data protection practitioners
Data protection leads

Speed Dating in Newcastle for 20s & 30s | Banyan Bar & Kitchen
May 1, 2025 (UTC+1)ENDED
Spruce Valley Township
How Speed Dating Works in Newcastle
When you arrive at the Newcastle venue you will be greeted by our friendly professional hosts. Once everyone has arrived and registered we will briefly explain the format of the evening. The ladies will then be asked to make their way to their allocated table. Once the ladies are seated the gentlemen will be asked to proceed to their first date.
You will have 4 minutes to chat to each date, once the 4 minutes is over we will ring a bell to indicate the time is up and for the gentlemen to move to their next date. Four minutes is long enough to see if you click with the person you are talking to and whether you would like to see them again and also short enough if you don't.
At the end of each date you have a brief few moments to make some notes on the person you have just dated. This is something to help jog your memory for the post event matching process the next day.
Half way through the event you will have an interval break so you can nip to the toilet or top up your drink. Once all the dates are over you have the opportunity to stay on at the venue to mingle freely with others. Please remember to take your dating card home with you to assist you in entering in your ticks and potential matches.
Post Event
No later than 11am the following morning our matching system will be unlocked for you to enter your ticks from the previous evening. You have all day to tick as many people as you like from the night before. We guarantee you will find someone you will want to see again, otherwise we will give you your next

There will be readings from the people who supported the miners, including during the strike of '84/5.

Our next PINE networking event is booked for
Thursday 1st May, 6:30pm at The Royal Station Hotel
.
Introducing Our Guest Speaker: Rishi Handa, Property Investor
Join me on 1st May for an exclusive deep dive into the real story behind my journey to becoming a high net worth individual – not through luck, inheritance, or winning the lottery, but through smart, calculated moves in property and finance.
This isn’t your usual “who am I” chat. I’ll be revealing the exact strategies I used to build multiple income streams and unlock serious wealth – including the often-overlooked financial tools hiding in plain sight.
Think credit cards, leveraged finance, and creative investment methods – used the right way, without paying unnecessary fees or falling into high interest traps.
Whether you’re just starting out or looking to scale up, this is your chance to hear first-hand the lessons, mistakes, and secrets they don’t teach in schools or books - this is based upon years of experience in different businesses, property investment, shares and angel investing to name a few!
If you want financial freedom, if you want to learn financial hacks, if you want to know the “secret sauce” - I’ll be revealing all - this conversation could change the way you see money and investments forever.
I guarantee you will learn something new from this event!
Tickets are limited. Don’t miss it.
If you're looking to secure investment, build lasting relationships, and learn how to operate in high-net-worth circles with confidence, this is a conversation you won’t want to miss.
