Perma-blitz: Earth nourishment and medicine | Kingston
Jun 28, 2025 (UTC-4)ENDED
Kingston
Come root yourself in the rhythms of the land during this nourishing gathering at the LIBH land base. Together, we’ll explore the deep connection between Earth healing and self-healing—honoring the truth that when we care for the land, it cares for us in return.
This session will center on the abundance already growing around us. Depending on what is ripe and ready, we’ll harvest directly from the garden and prepare a fresh, seasonal meal together. As we gather and cook, we’ll reflect on what it means to eat in harmony with Earth’s calendar—listening to the land to guide our nourishment.
Eating what’s in season isn't just delicious—it’s deeply healing. Foods harvested at their peak are more flavorful, nutrient-rich, and aligned with our bodies’ needs in that moment. We’ll talk about the health benefits of what’s growing now and how incorporating seasonal foods and herbs into our daily lives can support long-term wellness.
Perma-blitz
combines learning workshops with volunteering. Participants will learn skills from experts in the field and have an opportunity to practice them as a group through current stewardship projects happening on KLT-protected lands.
*A light meal will be co-prepared using ingredients harvested from the land.

Floating Ink - Suminagashi Marbling | Chromatic Studios
Jun 29, 2025 (UTC-4)ENDED
Kingston
In this workshop we will explore the calming and meditative technique of this Japanese style of marbling paper using ink and water.
Using two brushes and sumi ink, we will experiment with shapes, colors, and the air itself as it changes the shapes on the surface of the water. The circles and swirly patterns are then “printed” onto paper to create a beautiful record of a moment in time.
Once dry, you can use the papers for binding books or other objects, collage, or simply frame and enjoy as 2D art.
The studio is located in mid-town Kingston, NY, in a Victorian storefront building. Plenty of street parking, and ice cream across the street!
