About The Event: The ISU Four Continents Figure Skating Championships® is one of the International Skating Union's (ISU) most significant annual events. The event's name refers to the four of the five continents represented in the Olympic rings, Americas, Asia, Africa and Oceania (omitting Europe). Competing athletes come from these regions. It holds the same prestige as the Winter Olympic Games, the ISU World Figure Skating Championships, and the ISU European Figure Skating Championships, attracting more than 100 best athletes from around 20 countries and regions in four disciplines: men, women, pairs and ice dance. The ISU Four Continents Figure Skating Championships® 2024 will be held from January 30th to February 4th and hosted by the International Skating Union (ISU) and organized by the Chinese Figure Skating Association and the Shanghai Sports Bureau. Figure skating is a perfect blend of sport and art, aligning well with the character of Shanghai. Figure skating has gained increasing popularity among the citizens of Shanghai especially since the World Figure Skating Championships was successfully hosted in Shanghai in 2015.
