Explore Jess Holdengarde and Melanie King's plant-based analogue processes and developers at the Gathering Processes & Plant-based Developers - Spring Workshop in Margate. Taking place at The Margate School from April 20th to April 21st, this two-day event offers a unique opportunity to delve into sustainable practices and methodologies used by the artists in their works for Across Landscapes Exhibition. Participants will engage with the local seaside environment as a source of inspiration and materials. The workshop includes an artist talk, an evening walk for foraging, and hands-on sessions on creating a home brewed developer from locally sourced ingredients for processing 35mm/120mm analogue film sustainably. By the end, attendees will develop their own negatives using the sustainable developer made from Margate's natural resources. This workshop is ideal for photographers of all levels seeking to deepen their understanding of sustainable analogue photographic practices. Beginners are welcome, but participants must have an analogue camera and black & white film for the workshop. Wheelchair accessible venue.
