We really enjoyed our stay at Tribe Amsterdam City. The staff were lovely and welcoming - check in was super-quick as half of it was done via a self-check-in. Then the lady said 'enjoy your stay' and I accidentally said 'you too!' We were staying on the eighth floor, which was a bit scary for me because I don't like to be high up, but it was all fine and I felt very safe. The lifts were very smooth and super-fast and the room was stylish and modern. The bathroom included a huge shower perfect for sexy time! And several quite luxe bottles of shampoo, conditioner and hand/body wash. There were two free bottles of water for us in the fridge, though these weren't replenished on our second day. Housekeeping was good though and made the room look fresh and new. There were ample coffee-making facilities. On our second night, we went downstairs to the bar and got two free drinks for signing up to the ALL Accor Hotels program. All in all we had a great stay and would highly recommend the hotel. It's a bit out of the way - very close to Amsterdam Noord station, though there's not really much there so you might be better off staying in Amsterdam Centraal if you want more action. But if you're looking for a pleasant, relaxing and quiet stay where you can enjoy yourselves as a couple, this is the place for you.

Convenient location, just a short walk from the train station with a nearby convenience store. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and there’s a small kitchen for cooking. However, no indoor slippers, shower cap, or cotton buds provided. The area is quiet - not many restaurants around. Good option if you prefer a peaceful stay near the station.

Was good location for last minute trip to Amsterdam, 2 stops on the train from Schiphol airport, opposite Sloterdijk station that had trams, buses and trains so was able to tour the city easily. Was surprised by the city tax, one of the highest city taxes I’ve come across -  €38 for the weekend but that’s not the hotels fault. I was also surprised by the breakfast spread, the variety and the quality so good  way to start the day (someone gave my room number to get a free breakfast but there wasn’t a problem). Cheers!

Lovely hotel in a good location around 6 minute walk to the nearest station which goes directly into central Amsterdam. Unfortunately, the service was not up to par. We arrived after a long 13h travel day and were unable to get into our room due to a faulty lock. We went down to tell staff and were told there’s nothing wrong and try again, we made 3 trips up and down the 10th floor because they kept telling us we’re not doing it right. After the 4th visit Someone finally came up and had to bring a toolbox to change the battery on the door (they were unable to do it). We then were instructed to wait for someone else to come up which took another 10 minutes. Eventually we were let in and delayed by 45 minutes which then meant we needed to rearrange our evening plans which we had booked in advance of our trip. Overall the staff were not very helpful or sympathetic towards our arrival which was off-putting. The hotel itself is nice and is clean too.

Actually, I will talk about the negatives before the positives; When we arrived, I was shocked by the poor service there. First, they did not have cash when I arrived at the hotel with a taxi driver and I did not have the fare (change), so I had to spend fifty euros, but I was surprised that they did not have any exchange cash at hotel . Second, they did not have an assistant to carry the bags, so the bags were many and large, and I could not carry them alone, while I am a female and I cannot carry them. Third, they wanted us to stay on the third floor overlooking another building, but we refused because we wanted a higher floor. Their excuse was that the hotel was fully booked by residents and there were no rooms on the seventh or sixth floor. Also the cover sheet of bed had not changed since we had arrived. (Also there is something important to mention at last day we could not find a bolt or uber because maybe the location was a little bit far). But we had to speak to the hotel manager, who fixed all problems, he is a young East Asian man. Honestly, he was a good and understanding person, and he spoke politely. He apologized and upgraded us and helped us carry the bags. He deserves thanks and respect and apprecite

The Hotel is a nice option only for short stay, No wardrobe in the room that’s why it is only suitable for short stay, Otherwise the View is very nice and the breakfast as well, leaving some photos of the nice view from room here, The receptionist was a bit strict on the name in the Trip.com account/reservation should be identical to the one in the presented ID, first time to see this, so watch out for this before you reserve for someone else or if you reserve with a nickname

Love to stay at this hotel as it's so close to the cruise terminal where we shall be boarding the cruise ship on the following day. From here, we could walk to the Amsterdam central train station and even to the downtown (China town is much close). The reception staff and the luggage service were all very good.

Sorry to say, but really disappointed this time. The water pressure of shower is very weak. I reported it in the morning about 9:30 in 17th. However, the lady of reception not even apologized but just said she will send someone to my room, she also trying to service another customer who want to have breakfast during our conversation. I feel disrespectful.

Very good experience with this hotel. We stayed here for our last 2 days in amsterdam, it was fabulous. The receptionist upgraded our room, the room is huge with all the necessary supplies, a bit of surprising that they do not provide toothbrush aset in the room, but you can easily request that from the reception. The breakfast selections are very rich, we enjoyed very much! Wide selections of drinks, cold food and hot food. Champaigne, coffee, tea, juice, milk, we tried everything and not one is disappointed! Many selections of bread, cheese and sauces. I'm hungry again by recalling Even provide honey comb! Not to mention, the cafe and restaurant staffs are all very friendly and happy. They offer free shuttle bus from/to Airport every 30minutes from 6am to midnight. You can take the free ride just by waiting at airport (hotel buses station) or the hotel lobby. I personally found this information on social media but not on the official sites, it would be better if they could include the instructions in the bookings or website. Also, the waiting time is not specific and constant, it would be better if you would do something about it. Oh! The shower gel and shampoo provided are very good! Nice scent with good texture. I would love to buy a set if they sell. Just the down side that the front reception do need some training on service consistency. 1. We politely asked about the spinning wheel when we check in at night(10pm), the first older male receptionist instructed us to come back tomorrow daytime to join for free. In the morning, the daytime female receptionist said we are only allowed to join the contest when we check-in. That's really disappointing and we thought, why would they lie to us? Probably they are not familiar with the service providing. 2. We found a brochure in the room, ”opt out for cleaning service for 5€ voucher”. Asked the receptionist about this on the next day, she immediately said that offer is no longer available. My partner said, ”we cancelled the cleaning service yesterday for this, why do you still put the brochure in the room if it is not available anymore?”. Then only she apologized and gave us a voucher. Thanks to that, we enjoyed a good fries from the Sports Bar with the voucher.
