Stayed here for 1 night on 1st October 2024 after our drive to Highlands and got here when it was already dark but i loved the drive to the junction from the main road to the guesthouse.
It was pretty dark around the area which we thought we could be lucky for aurora sightings but it was cloudy. Luckily, I asked the owner when was the last aurora sighting at the guesthouse and she immediately opened her laptop and that’s when I found put there’s aurora forecast website in Iceland. She was the one that let us know there’s higher chance to spot aurora on the upcoming friday due to clear sky.
Oh btw, for our check-in process, when I first arrived and entered the guesthouse, please take off your shoes by the entrance, and go to reception area infront of the kitchen and take the house phone to call the owner.
We booked room no. 5 which cones with a sofa bed and the long toom was so cute and cozy. This is the cutest guesthouse room design among all 13 accoms across the country during our trip. I really loved it a lot as the room was long and spacious.
The common dining area was really nice and big which I didn’t really spend time here. But I used the kitchen the next morning to boil hot water and make myself my hot chocolate and instant mushroom soup.
Worth my money. Will book again if I visit Iceland again next time!

MMaxigua123The view is excellent, at the foot of a mountain, it should be a cabin to see the aurora, but unfortunately we did not see the aurora in summer.
The location is not far from Scoga Falls, Seriyaran Falls and Vic Black Beach, these three attractions can choose from here.
The house facilities are very new, the heating is turned on in advance, the Icelanders really don't know how to advertise, and the good house is like a rough house. The housekeeper's English is not good, but the communication is still clear. Other comments are helpful, you can call the password until they answer the phone, if you can't, you can also take a chance on the spot, and you will see the women who clean up the house working nearby.

Everything was thought through into the last detail. The private rooms are very big & modern, the beds very comfortable, and the bathroom is very stylish - the owner has a good Taste ;-) The shower has a good water power and there are many great products that one can use (shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion).
The common rooms are very spacious and people come there to meet each other, have a drink and play a game.
And cherry on the top: there are fresh waffles for breakfast and coffee/tea... all you can eat! :-)
The owner is also very friendly and happy to see his guests enjoying their stay.
The best guesthouse we had so far on our trip... and we stayed already in 11.
We recommend without hesitations!

GGuest UserNice big room, beds are very good, pillow ok (soft). Shower etc. also clean and do not smell of sulfur. Good and very extensive breakfast. Restaurant is good and has tasty meals for a reasonable price. Service and staff friendly and helpful. Location is remote. Supermarket is far away.
Diamond beach Is relatively close (30 minutes).

The kitchen was fully equipped, making it convenient for longer stays, and the living area felt bright and welcoming. The location was excellent, close to Hella with shops, restaurants, and public transport, yet still quiet and peaceful at night. The building felt safe and secure, and the management was responsive and helpful throughout my stay. DDahaoqiuqiuEnvironment: It is simply satisfying all the illusions of a Nordic cabin! But it is more recommended to come with many friends! ! Because it is very suitable for dinner!
However, pay attention to the check-in is self-service, pay attention to the email in advance, the location is very good, the bed is very comfortable ❤️ I hope that next time the weather is good, you can directly see the aurora!

MMark JosephThe room was small but adequate. The bathroom too small, with a tiny sink. There was no bath soap or shampoo. The shower curtain was mildewed at the bottom. There was a teapot shared by the four units in our building, but no coffee, just sugar. The restaurant was great for dinner, but the included breakfast was poor. We were given a tray with preselected items. The croissant and coffee were excellent. I passed on the oatmeal and oat bread, which left a light continental breakfast. Poor value compared to the other guesthouses we encountered in Iceland.
