Old couple here. Great that the room is on the 1st level.
Cons
Pillow way too soft, not that great for necks. Don't expect too much selection from the breakfast. Only 1 washer and 1 dryer.
Pros
Many small eateries walking walking distance. The whole hotel is a vibe (main reason for bookings). Provides professional photography but only female wears. No men nor kids traditional costumes. We didnt take the Metro (5 to 10 mins).
You can order some made to order noodles and dumplings. Portion is huge so sharing is recommend.

Facilities: The hotel facilities are very new and well-designed. The lobby is spacious and even has a calligraphy corner with flowing water. There are small fish and parrots at the front desk, which the kids loved. The room was also very large, and I must say the pillows were incredibly comfortable, leading to a great night's sleep.
Service: The hotel's service was also excellent. After adding them on WeChat, they even recommended local eateries, and we ended up trying Yepopo Bobo Chicken nearby. The hotel breakfast was also quite unique; it was a set meal with dishes like crispy shaomian noodles, steamed buns, zongzi, and chia seed pudding – very filling!
The hotel is conveniently located close to the high-speed rail station, making it easy to catch a train, and it's also not far from the Leshan Giant Buddha.
The hotel rooms were neat and clean, offering great value for money. What impressed me most was that each room had its own direct drinking water dispenser instead of the traditional electric kettle. This is something I'd honestly recommend all hotels adopt. Tea and coffee lovers would definitely appreciate it, as you no longer have to worry about what others might have boiled in the kettle! The disposable towels, bath towels, and cups also provided peace of mind. The hot spring water was wonderfully warm too. All in all, I'm very satisfied.

This hotel is pretty good for being near the scenic area. I booked it based on recommendations from Xiaohongshu (Little Red Book).
The room size and overall design are excellent!
I had read some reviews about poor soundproofing, but honestly, it was completely quiet! No issues there at all.
I particularly want to thank Lynn. I had some supplies delivered to the hotel, and she contacted me almost a week in advance to help with an upgrade. She was incredibly responsive, answering all my questions and making sure all my requests were noted and handled. She also gave great recommendations for local food, drinks, and activities.
On my last day, as I was leaving, my earphones fell out of my bag. The cleaning lady/greeter at the entrance helped me pick them up. Honestly, I was really touched by such thoughtful attention to detail.
This hotel is perfect for a relaxing, slow-paced trip. Highly recommend it! 👍
I forgot to take photos of the hotel, so I'm just sharing a few pictures of the snacks Lynn recommended! They were super delicious, hehe. 😁

This hotel feels more like a guesthouse. I booked a twin room with a friend, and we both thought it was pretty good. The service was excellent, the tea was delicious, and they even had incense for Buddhist prayers. We took two when we left, haha! I'd definitely come back if I have the chance.

They upgraded us to a deluxe twin room for free, which was quite spacious, and the Wi-Fi speed was excellent for work. As soon as we arrived, we received tickets for Gaotianli during weekdays and a scenic car pass. The rice terraces were beautiful and definitely worth a visit. They also provided a very detailed explanation and introduction to Emei Mountain routes, which was fantastic. The outdoor hot spring had three pools with different temperatures. The outdoor hot spring area was beautifully landscaped, but inevitably, there were a lot of bugs. It was a shame the swimming pool was under maintenance. It would have been even better if there was an indoor hot spring where you could enjoy the beautiful greenery without being bothered by bugs. There were three washing machines and three dryers, which worked very well. For extended stays, the cleaning staff tidied the room and replenished supplies daily, showing great attention to detail. Breakfast was served on the first floor, and you could also order lunch. The chef cooked everything fresh after you placed your order, and the small breakfast cakes and desserts were especially delicious. I left the bamboo stick I brought from Emei Mountain at the front desk for others to borrow, lol. Hope the next person who finds it can use it for self-defense in the monkey area~

The front desk staff were absolutely amazing, so patient and responsible. After I checked in and got to my room, I realized I'd lost my phone charm. I hadn't been able to connect with the butler at that point because I missed their call. During check-in, the front desk attendant (a young man) had asked me to add him, so I sent him a picture of the charm. He actually found it for me! I'm so grateful to the InterContinental staff.
My room was upgraded to a larger one, and being in Zone A, it was closest to breakfast, which was great. If you're primarily interested in the water park, you might prefer Zones C or D, as they're also closer to the mall. However, there are shuttle buses available for all areas.
You can tell the hotel is a bit older, but the facilities are still well-maintained. The only minor complaint I have is that the air conditioning was quite noisy.
I am very satisfied with this stay experience. The boss used to play antique literature, so the decoration style of the whole homestay is unique, very distinctive and charming.
And the boss wife is very enthusiastic with the staff, prepared Rhodiola, oxygen cylinders, etc. in case we have any discomfort.
Dinner and the young lady dance performance, the next day we took us to the forest to hike, and also fed the groundhog, very relaxed.
I heard from the boss that I can see the horse deer, ride horses, etc. in the future, and I will definitely come again in the future!

The hotel environment is excellent, with a grand and traditional style. They offer pick-up service from the high-speed train station and shuttle service within the hotel. Breakfast is also very popular, with a good selection of both Chinese and Western dishes.
However, the outdoor hot spring pools at the spa didn't have electronic temperature displays. I went early, hoping to soak in the outdoor pools for some fresh air, but several pools had temperatures that differed from what the signs indicated; they were lukewarm, not hot. Luckily, the Zen Mountain Residence rooms have in-room hot springs. I'd recommend staying in the Zen Mountain Residence rooms, as the in-room hot spring temperature is just right. (I previously stayed at the Mingyueshan Metropark Hot Spring Hotel in Yichun, and the hot spring experience there was absolutely top-notch).
The staff who checked me in had a strong smell of smoke. While they were efficient, I wouldn't say they were very professional. The hallway to the room didn't have air conditioning and felt a bit stuffy. The bathroom and toilet were separated into wet and dry areas, but the doors were transparent, which was a bit awkward. There was also an issue with the internet at the front desk. I was told to come back later to resolve some matters, but there seemed to be a lapse in communication during the shift change, as the new staff member looked completely bewildered when I returned.

Apologies, I promised the owner I'd leave a review sooner, but I completely forgot once I returned to Chengdu.
The hotel is nestled deep within the Bifengxia scenic area, a high-end guesthouse that beautifully blends old structures with newly built sections. We stayed in the 'Fuyao Zhi' room (pictured in the second image), which I believe is part of the newer section and incredibly stylish. The large windows offer stunning views of distant mountains and another traditional residence.
The hotel boasts excellent facilities, including various indoor activities (like calligraphy copying and tea ceremonies) and an outdoor forest activity space surrounded by tea gardens (featuring treehouses, trampolines, etc.). The front area also offers outdoor activities such as bonfires, barbecues, and karaoke.
All the staff, especially the guy at the front desk in the burgundy sweater, were incredibly enthusiastic. The housekeeping was also meticulously done. The young man with glasses who handled our transfers to and from the Bifengxia scenic area was incredibly punctual. It's clear that both the staff and the owner put a tremendous amount of effort and passion into their guests and the guesthouse, which was the most impressive aspect for me.
While the overall price point is on the higher side for Bifengxia, the experience was absolutely outstanding. I can honestly say that this stay elevated the joy and comfort of our entire Bifengxia trip.

PPiaolingcarrie~lvyouguihuashiMy friend and I came here to relax and unwind, and the experience was absolutely perfect! The hotel service was incredibly gentle; check-in was smooth and efficient. The front desk and staff were all very polite, and they responded promptly to any questions. There were no unpleasant surprises, just pure relaxation.
The room was clean and bright, with great natural light and a pleasant ambiance. It was spacious and didn't feel cramped, with a simple yet comfortable decor. The bedding was incredibly soft – once I lay down, I didn't want to get up! The bathroom facilities were complete, and the cleanliness was exceptional; even the corners were spotless, making me feel completely secure.
The public areas were quiet and very elegant, well-maintained and stylish. It was a pleasure to simply walk around. There were both indoor and outdoor hot springs, offering a wide variety. I stayed in a deluxe king room, which allowed me to enjoy an immersive hot spring experience right in the room, without having to share with others – the privacy was fantastic. The water quality was clean and clear, and the temperature was just right. After soaking, I felt completely soft and relaxed, with all fatigue melting away. The healing sensation was off the charts.
Overall, the facilities were complete and functional, and the environment was tranquil and elegant, perfect for a short getaway, a peaceful retreat, and escaping the city hustle. This trip was easy and enjoyable, with no disappointments at all. The experience was 100%, and I've silently added it to my re-visit list – I want to come again next time!
CCrayon TravelsOverall
This was an absolutely stunning stay — one of the best I've experienced, and it truly blew us away. We had a balcony room with a breathtaking view of the mountains. The resort is run by a warm couple and a team of locals who were wonderfully attentive and helpful, arranging our transportation from Chengdu to their doorstep and back.
The food was exceptional — wholesome, nourishing and deeply local. The dinner hotpot hit the spot on a cold night, and breakfast was healthy and energising — exactly what you need before a long day of hiking. The room itself was spectacular; waking up to pine trees dusted with snow and a clear mountain view was something else. On a clear night, you could stargaze from the balcony and melt into the rocking chair. Simply blissful and a good escape from the city life. Highly recommend NPS 10.
🏨 Room — 10/10
Great layout, comfortable bed, a warm toilet seat on a cold morning, spacious, and most importantly — a stunning view. The hotel is relatively new, having opened in 2025 according to the owners.
🧹 Cleanliness — 10/10
Spotless throughout. All common areas were new and well kept.
👋 Staff Friendliness & Responsiveness — 10/10
The couple who run the place are genuinely lovely — always on hand to ensure you have a great stay. Responsive over WeChat to help coordinate logistics ahead of the trip, and they'll drop you at the entrance of the main hiking sites. Other staff were equally helpful. The primary language is Chinese, but they are patient and a translation app works perfectly fine.
📍 Location — 9/10
A 10-minute drive from both Changping and Shuangqiao valleys. Not much in the immediate surroundings — quaint little farms, grazing cows, and steep hills that will test anyone not yet acclimatised.
🍽️ Food & Drink — 9/10
The hotpot on both nights was incredibly nourishing and full of flavour, featuring a variety of local wild vegetables and mushrooms. There is also a stir-fry menu with a solid selection of local dishes, though we stuck to the hotpot both evenings.
🌅 View/Scenery — 11/10
Snowcapped peaks and beautiful pine forests as far as the eye can see (visited in April). I could have sat and stared out the window all day.
🏃 Activities & Surroundings — 10/10
The mountains and hiking trails are the main draw here — and honestly, the only activity you'll ever need. Shuangqiao is absolutely gorgeous and you could spend a whole day there if you like to hike(instead of just taking the bus). Changping is more for hikers, no bus service with a different charm, I love it more cause it was less touristy.
The immediate area is quiet — everything you need is within the hotel itself. Stock up on essentials in the city, or check with staff ahead of time if there's anything specific you need. It's a hillside town, four hours from Chengdu.

GGuest UserThis onsen hotel was absolutely wonderful. Perched on the hillside, it boasts huge floor-to-ceiling windows that perfectly frame the mountain views, and the room temperature was just right. The private hot spring bath was spacious with a rich mineral scent, and all the facilities felt brand new. Coming here to unwind on a weekend was pure bliss. The staff were all lovely too – always smiling, friendly, and quick to greet you. The afternoon tea and goodnight drinks were a nice touch. It's off-season now, so it's quiet and peaceful, perfect for relaxation. They even gave us a thoughtful parting gift, which was a nice touch.

GGuest UserEverything was amazing from start to end. Our host picked us up from the train station and took us directly to the accomodation. He waited while we got changed to quickly shuttle us to the pickup area for the bus to the Golden Summit. At the end of the day, he was waiting for us to shuttle us back to the hotel.
The hotel’s location is spectacular and our room was beautiful with an amazing view of the mountains.
We ate dinner at the hotel and the food was delicious. Breakfast, likewise, was really tasty.
The staff really made us feel comfortable and were available to answer questions and provide suggestions at any time. Felt like a very luxurious stay.

YYeyingmaoxiaHighly recommend!!! I was so pleasantly surprised to find such a great hotel for under 200. The facilities are relatively new, the room is quite spacious, and the hot springs look pretty clean too. Plus, the service is genuinely excellent! The front desk lady was incredibly enthusiastic and lively, and she promptly resolved any requests we had, even giving us complimentary breakfast. The hotel also had staff to help carry our luggage to the room. All in all, we had a super comfortable stay, and I highly recommend it!
GGuest UserAfter hiking Mount Qingcheng yesterday, my friend and I stayed at this hotel, and it was a great experience. Their service attitude was truly excellent. Whether it was the front desk, restaurant, housekeeping, or any other staff member, everyone greeted us with a smile whenever we encountered them in the hotel. The room facilities and environment were also very good. Waking up in the morning to the sound of rain outside, lying in bed, and looking at the scenery outside the window was incredibly comfortable! The breakfast had a great variety too, with freshly cooked rice noodles and noodles, and even freshly ground coffee. Too bad I forgot to take photos! My friend and I both loved it, and from now on, this will be our go-to place whenever we visit Mount Qingcheng.

GGuest UserThis new Tibetan-style guesthouse is absolutely stunning. The overall design perfectly blends traditional ******* elements with modern minimalist aesthetics, creating a space that's rich in ethnic culture yet stylish and upscale. The lobby's ******* patterns, natural wood textures, and lighting layout are all incredibly beautiful. The corridors and window nooks are meticulously decorated, and the complimentary ******* clothing is perfect for photoshoots. The room interiors are exquisite and tasteful, with a sophisticated color palette. ******* totems and soft furnishings are used just right – not overly showy, but highly distinctive. The window views are expansive, and every corner of the guesthouse showcases a keen sense of aesthetics, preserving regional characteristics while meeting modern living habits. With its strong sense of style, this place is definitely the top choice for those who love taking photos and appreciate a good ambiance. Plus, the guesthouse even provides free shuttle service to the scenic area entrance!
GGuest UserOn a business trip to Chengdu, I decided to take a spontaneous trip to Jiuzhaigou. I got off the high-speed train in a T-shirt and shorts and was absolutely freezing. After the hotel arranged a business car to pick me up, the owner personally drove me to buy clothes and a windbreaker. He even picked me up again after I finished eating and took me back to the hotel. This level of service was incredibly thoughtful! I'd love to go back again.
GGuest UserI had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is excellent — just across the road, you can see the famous Blue Tears Dujiangyan. It is also very close to popular attractions such as Panda Selfie and Guanxian Ancient Town, making sightseeing very convenient.
The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. Guests also receive a complimentary tea voucher to enjoy drinks while admiring the Blue Tears view from the 19th floor. The best seats are limited, so make sure to arrive early if you want to enjoy the most stunning view😉
There are also a few halal restaurants located behind the hotel, which is very convenient for Muslim travelers. The only drawback is that the toilet does not have a bidet. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its excellent location, beautiful views, and outstanding service.
GGuest UserTucked away in the heart of Huangwan Town, this place is wonderfully quiet and peaceful. It's also just a short walk from the Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum, perfect for a stroll to soak in the local culture and atmosphere. With mountains at its back and a river view in front, the panoramic vistas are unobstructed and breathtaking. In the mornings, the mist-shrouded mountains feel like a fairyland, and the evening sunsets reflecting on the river are incredibly serene and calming. Excellent location, tranquil environment, and stunning views – absolutely perfect.
