We stopped at the southern town of Kochi during our Shikoku cycling challenging around the island. It was a long day after 130km from Shishiku but finally arrived at the Dormy Inn at around 3:30pm.
Location wise it’s excellent as it is at the heart of the shopping district with many shops and restaurants nearby. The hotel is bike friendly allowing us to take the bike into our room. Amenities is excellent and room is clean although a tad smaller than expected. In general I am happy with our decision staying at the Dormy Inn of Kochi.
Cannot ask for more from this hotel. Everything is perfect. We have the best accomodation in here while in Shikoku, where we have stayed in 9 hotels. It was simply the best.
The environment is recluse, though it is highly accessible with cars. The star-gazing experience in onsen is once in a lifetime. It was magical to bath under the starry night. The dining experience is exceptional, though it is a little pricey, compare to the dinner we have throught Shikoku. Still, I highly recommend to try the Japanese-style course The Manna provided.
The location is not in the city but it doesn't have much impact on self-driving, there is free parking. The lobby is grand, but I was a little disappointed when I entered the room. The Japanese-Western style room is large, but quite old. The carpet is very dirty, as is the sofa set. Everything else is just acceptable. The bed is super soft, and the toilet is small. A guy's knees can touch the wall when he sits on the toilet. The breakfast is rich in variety and the restaurant has a view of the sea and the harbor.
Excellent location with shopping stores and restaurants nearby.A heated room with windows that can be opened is a big plus. The man at the front desk speaks really good English!Very close to the famous wild eel restaurant.
Very impressive experience in the quiet and beautiful town. It is quite convenient to KUT. The hot spring is quite nice. So surprised and moved to get hot drinking water in the room in the last stay. Will stay here if I come in future.
For this trip, I chose a hotel closer to Episode 36!
A hotel with beautiful sea views and a well-designed outdoor hot spring pool.
The front desk staff were very patient. On the eve of the typhoon, many buses changed their schedules. The hotel staff also took us to the bus stop with the departing bus!
Really sincerely grateful🙏
Highly recommended!
The hot spring was very pleasant. There was also a sauna! I went to the rice shop in the facility, but I was a little disappointed that I made a mistake in calculating at the time of payment. The rice you have reserved seems to come out smoothly, but it takes time to order it on the spot. We recommend that you book dinner or eat outside.
The hotel garden is very beautiful. The service is very good. The room facilities are average but very comfortable. The public facilities are great. There are great scenery and shrines around. The transportation is very convenient. It is a 10-minute walk from Kochi Castle. I will come again. The breakfast is very complete and there is local bonito.

Llay_cThe view of the river view room is very beautiful. There are many different dinner set options on the official website. The set meal included in the Ctrip order cannot be selected (the main dish is stewed pork in a casserole \ other side dishes should be similar in each set), so I also ordered the 40,000 steak, which is very recommended ! This hotel usually gets off at Kawasaki and walks for about 30 minutes, but the route instructions are not very clear. It is best to call the hotel in advance to make an appointment to pick up the car (free \ English communication is also available). If possible, I will stay for 2 days next time, so that one day I can rent a bicycle to circle the Shimanto River
MMai_suliIt's so top..... At the door, a gentleman came over to ask our name, knowing that I came to greet you today; We arranged a Western-style room, where the bathrobe, socks, and rafts were all ready, the bathrobe was super beautiful... At night, I went to the big bathroom and ran the soup and slept comfortably.
The breakfast the next day was too exaggerated.....a lot of things, shocked by the ritual of Japanese cuisine, from main dishes to desserts, eat cool.
The hotel has its own dinner and supermarket, and the souvenirs sold in the supermarket are also cute!
The bus stop is at the entrance of the hotel, super convenient! I will stay here next time.
BBingbingdexuerenThis is an old hotel in the suburbs of Kochi. It is the tallest building in the area at a glance. It is located on the banks of the Niyodo River and has a very good environment. The equipment looked old, there were small bugs on the tatami, and there were many small flying insect bodies in the open-air hot spring, but I didn't find it too disgusting, haha. The dinner set is delicious, and there is also Dandan noodles for midnight snacks.
LLIThe hotel is on the top of the mountain in Weisong Park. If you have luggage, you need to take a taxi from JR station to the hotel. Because there is a steep mountain road, you can walk from the hotel to the bottom of the mountain in a few minutes with your bare hands. Several bridges over the Shimanto River can be seen in the hotel room. The room is a bit big, with a total of three rooms, the outermost one has six posts, the middle bedroom has eight posts, and the inside has four posts, which is relatively large in Japanese-style hotels. When the guest is about to go out, the waiter will prepare your shoes early, and when the guest comes back to the room, the waiter will cool the shoes before putting them away. The Japanese cuisine in the morning and evening is also good.
