The hotel is right at the entrance of the ski resort and you can Ski in/Out. Guests of the hotel in Figure 3 can get a discount on the ski pass price. Our price for three days was 25,400 yen. There are very few people in the ski resort unless there is heavy snowfall. Very few people. There are several restaurants in the hotel, and you need to make a reservation for dinner in the evening. The taste is good. There are ski lockers on the first floor for free. Friendly advice, try to bring your own shoes and boards. The shoes rented by the ski resort are very loose and the boards are heavy and hard.

Hotel room was good and massive, facilities are abundant as well. The onsen is super spacious and it's thru the night. Food selection are quite a few but do try to get to Eki for more selections... Just take note of the last shuttle bus back to hotel. In all the stay was good, just need to take note that this hotel is only allow SKI in / SKI out... But NOT SNOWBOARDING.... That you have to take shuttle bus to other resort location thru its skiing shuttle bus services...

Service attitude is very good But it was too old and noisy. The ventilation system kept making noises of parts falling off for more than 10 hours. So I chose a room with a bathroom and toilet. I wanted convenience, but I didn't expect that it would be inconvenient to take a bath. The bathtub was too small and there was bleach in the water. The smell, and the water in the bathtub is still completely wet even if there is a shower curtain blocking the floor. It is very uncomfortable. The wind power of the hair dryer is close to zero. It is recommended to bring your own hair dryer, otherwise it will really collapse. The hotel may be too old. I really don’t recommend it if you want to enjoy skiing. This hotel has been in a state of collapse. I stayed there for four nights and it was really uncomfortable. Then when the room was cleaned, the floor was not vacuumed. The room was really dirty and the slippers were rusty in it... In short, I will not come again! ! ! Really ruined a good ski trip

Very bad experience, my husband placed his glasses into the ski-googles packing box, then we go out skiing at the morning, when we back after dinner and hot spring at night. we found the packing box is lost in the room. But we surely haven’t brought it out. We asked the staff, the staff help to ask the cleaners, but they just said have seen it. So we lost the glasses mysteriously. And we haven’t found it at last.  My husband love this glasses very much and it lost unexpected in the room.

Our stay at Yukinohana Ryokan was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality that made us feel at home. The blend of traditional Japanese elegance with modern comfort made for an unforgettable experience. The service was impeccable. Every staff member was attentive, kind, and eager to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Their attention to detail and genuine hospitality made a lasting impression. Yukinohana’s location is also excellent, just a short walk from Echigo-Yuzawa Station, making it convenient for travelers. We can’t wait to return!

Hotel with hot spring and others facilities like swimming pool and gym room. Room are big enough for 3-4 persons. Location a bit far from town if with car no issue at all. Hotel do provide bus but time limited till 6pm. All staffs could not speak English so communication was an issue if you request something.

The hotel is close to the train station, but need to walk uphill. Although we clearly booked 2 adults 2 kids in Trip.com but the hotel still charged the extra costs for 2 kids (2 years old) for additional 4400 Yen, pay cash at the checkin counter. The room was ready at 3PM and got the room on 3rd floor with mountain view at the back of hotel. The room was spacious, nice and clean. Staff came for turning down the bed futon in the evening. The breakfast was so amazing and plenty of choices. Overall, we had a good stay.

In general I like this hot spring hotel which was built on the venue containing 16 houses dated back to the 17th century. The hotel itself, its garden and room all look not bad. However the AC at the boutique shop was broken yesterday and it was super hot to shop there. Not sure if it’s repaired today. An opened brush bag without toothpaste was kept in the bathroom- they expected me to use or what? The service and food can both be better - but do not take it wrong - they are already good - it’s just I have a very high standard in particular when we talk about foods. I like the two free liquor - one sale the other plum wine- provided every evening 17:00-19:30 though. :) The Hotel can organise many experiencing and traveling activities and you need to book online ahead. Free shuttle service between the hotel and ECHIGO YUZAWA STATION is provided and you also need to book in advance - very generous gesture.

GGuest UserThe lady at the counter was so accommodating. Provided everything we needed and was happy to help in any other way. Spoke a little English but used google translate to help. We couldn't use the dining room for dinner, I think that had to be booked in advance. There was only one or two other places open in town at 7.30pm for dinner. So wasn't many options. The room had stains all over the floor, but otherwise the beds were clean, and comfortable being on the harder springy side, and the bathroom was very clean. The onsen was amazing. The room was a good size, and had extra toilets down the hall if we needed them. The Japanese breakfast that was provided was fantastic. We only stayed one night because we were walking the next day just near there otherwise would have stayed in a bigger town, because of the limited outside facilities. But for the price and it was convenient it was good. Would stay again if I had to, but otherwise would go for a bit nicer place.

SShu KaiseiVery nice place to stay! Quiet during the spring/summer period due to the area being more popular in winter. Very near Echigo Yuzawa Station within 5min walk. Was welcomed into the hotel nicely with complimentary matcha and snack. Upon check in there was even a cute Gachapon game in which you could win one of their special Niigata/Yuzawa stuff! I won a small pack of Niigata rice. Room was clean and spacious with a comfy futon bed. The public baths were so nice and well maintained! The staff here are very friendly and attentive. If you did not reserve their special dinner/breakfast set, you can still do say with 2 days advanced order over the front desk. I also love that they provide free shuttle to the station at check out upon request! Definitely staying here again if ever back in the area 🫶🏼

AAirgeekedOne of the nearest accommodation to Gala Yuzawa Ski Resort and shuttle via a mini bus is available. Shuttle bus goes to Echigo Yuzawa station too. It is walking distance from Gala Yuzawa. Approach any staff at the Ski Resort with the telephone number of the hotel to request for it. Stayed there for a few night for snowboarding. Breakfast selection was fabulous with two local Japanese sake available! The room is big, clean and well furnished. It even come with a great view! Onsen street which is the street lined with restaurant is 10-15mins walk away. I recommend making reservation for dinner if you do not intend to go out for dinner. Great service is one of the key reason why I would return to stay!

AAnonymous UserHotel has good heating so perfect for winter stay. Nice fireplace area and nice holding area before stepping out into the cold. The hotel is down a hill from the main thoroughfare. A bit slippery downhill when it becomes icy. Run like a hotel so maybe a bit cold compared to a bed and breakfast. Onsen bath seems a bit dirty with things floating in there compared to other hotels we stayed at. We needed to move to another hotel which is 2km away and the guy offered to drive us there for 2000 yen! Just 1 luggage each and no skis. So on the whole just cold. Breakfast was 1000 yen seemed simple so we skipped and opted to eat in town instead. Probably won't stay there again.

GGuest UserWe stayed in a shiny new room after renovation. The newly renovated room we stayed in was not ready for a bathtub, so we only had a shower in the room. They were kind enough to offer us the outdoor bath, which is usually paid for, for free, so we went to the outdoor bath ♨️ However, the building for the paid outdoor bath was about 100 meters away from the hotel itself, and the system involved moving around outside without a roof in room slippers and a yukata. It was a blizzard outside that day, and the snow was sticky under our feet... It was dark outside, and we were given a small lantern, so we walked in the dark, into the snow. On the way to the outdoor bath in the rain... my slippers suddenly got stuck in the cold mud and both my feet were soaked 😱 cold 🥶 The outdoor bath itself was a beautifully constructed bath ♨️ built in a separate location, with a spectacular view below, but on the way back, of course, both my room slippers and feet got stuck in the cold, snow-covered mud and sand, and they were squishy, squishy, icy 🥶 and rattling :(;゙゚'ω゚'): I immediately went into the large public bath in the main hotel building to warm up my cold body again. I think it's a building built 100 meters away from the main hotel building, with the outdoor bath as the priority, with a view in mind, so I felt it would be more valuable to make it possible to move there safely and comfortably. For example, renting out rain boots on rainy or snowy days... installing footlights to guide the way to the open-air bath♨️ building... I think information about the special open-air bath♨️ (for a fee) is a must. It's a real shame considering it's such a great facility.
