Achray House Restaurant with Rooms

Good experience overall: Best features: very clean and liked the welcome for our poodle. Garden room was very helpful for him and he was allowed to accompany us to the dining room. Lovely views. Breakfast was delicious with freshly prepared hot items from a menu. What would make it even better: Staff seemed a bit rushed so couldn't give a relaxed service. We would have liked a menu to refer to. Tasting menu had nice items such as White bean veloute and Rhubarb and Ginger dessert but some courses didn't quite meet our expectations.

We had a wonderful experience staying at Achray House recently. We had received a voucher from family who had stayed there and wanted us to enjoy the experience as much as they had. On arrival we were greeted by Laura who confirmed our table booking and showed us to our room. We had an amazing view of Loch Earn also the addition of a small sitting area with another window to view the loch. Our meal was outstanding as was the service from the friendly staff. The food was cooked to perfection and the wine was extremely good. There was no rush to finish each course or complete the meal. Actually we didn’t want it to end. We spent a relaxing night in the Earn Suite with all the toiletries, huge stand alone bath and a very comfortable bed. The breakfast in the morning was also delicious. Buffet style with a cooked option prepared for you. We certainly hope to return in the not too distant future.

Room was spotless and had everything needed.wifi, tv,coffee machine etc. Shower hot and bathroom modern. Wonderful location and great views as well as pleasant walk along the Loch. Tasting menu very varied and well presented. Breakfast was superb. Very friendly and would go back.

This was a special treat for a big birthday (65) and it didn’t disappoint. We stayed overnight in the lodge and it was so comfortable and the bedding and pillows were so fluffy. We enjoyed the six course taster menu with wine pairings with every course and wine pairing expertly explained. The hotel was in a fabulous setting with an excellent view. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. Would defo recommend

We were met by a very cheery Claire who showed to our room, which was lovely with a beautiful view of the Loch. The bedroom was spotless as was the bathroom. We were shown where the restaurant & bar were, & where we would have breakfast in the morning. The dinner was fine dining which we didn't realise it would be, as we didn't book for the taster menu. The dinner was a bit pricey but overall a good experience. The weather was the icing on the cake, absolutely glorious

We stayed three nights in the little self-catering cottage at the back of the hotel. It is set back from the loch and main road, and very peaceful. Exceptionally well equipped, it is also very cosy and comfortable. The bed and bedding are of a high standard. It provided a great base for exploring this lovely area.

We made a long overdue return visit to the Achray house Hotel in St Fillans 2.5.24, the accommodation has been nicely redecorated since our last visit, the bar and restaurant are also lovely places to spend time, pre Dinner drinks on the terrace overlooking the Loch was very special. Dinner was first class as were the accompanying wines we had which were chosen by Laura and Claire, we had a fantastic stay and Breakfast next morning was also first class, we are looking forward to visiting again as soon as we can,

From arrival to leaving all that can be said is that this is certainly 5stars from beginning to the end. The setting is beautiful overlooking Loch Earn. Claire and Laura are so welcoming. The rooms are beautiful and have everything you need. The Tasting Menu is a MUST as is the wine pairing. Both Claire and Laura are very knowledgeable on the wines they serve. The food is out of this world. Six courses that felt like going on an adventure. Breakfast in the morning certainly does not disappoint and is delicious. Can’t wait to go back again. From the staff, to the room and the food everything was fantastic. A warm welcome, remembering my name and making me as a solo traveller feel really welcome was lovely. The hotel is full of character, has lovely views and is maintained really well.
