Had a week with just me and my daughter. Such a lovely place. Would highly recommend. Our room was upgraded as we asked for a pool view on arrival :-). The staff work incredibly hard and the hotel is spotlessly clean . The food is beautiful. The pool is great and is just across the road from the beach.

Nice family hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Both breakfast and dinner buffet style to suit all tastes. We tasted different things every day for 15 days. Comments regarding not enough choice are not correct in our opinion. This is not a big all-in hotel with different buffets and you know this in advance. Our room was certainly big enough for 3 people with balcony overlooking garden and pool. Room was cleaned every day and everything was neat and tidy. Breakfast and dinner possible inside or outside on the terrace in front of the hotel. If you cross the lane you are on the beach. Transfer by local bus to Rethymnon across the street. Very nice family holidays at hotel Solimar Dias with special thanks to the staff! We can certainly recommend this hotel. Improvements possible. Pool could be modernised. Airco unit on balcony very annoying. Blows hot air, hence impossible to sit on the terrace. Very unfortunate. More plants and/or flowers around/on the terrace where you can sit or have breakfast/dinner. Same inside the hotel. But that's of course a personal opinion.

Bad location, old furniture, dirty, pool is also old and dirty. Smells very bad. We had trouble sleeping as the mattress was hard and some springs were out...😞 Food was also bad and cooked with rancid oil

We’ve been stayed in Solimar Dias for the first time . In a nutshell, we extremely enjoyed our vacation there. I would like to say a few words about food in the hotel, cause it was something special. We were impressed by variety of tasty Greek and international meal. Greek traditional appetizers, variety of soups, fish, meat, sea food, vegetables, desserts, fruits and drinks every day. Twice per week chef cooked one of his outstanding meal just in front of the guests and we had opportunity to ask any food related questions at that time. If you stay in Solimar, you won’t be hungry during your rest, believe me :) I would like to say special thank you to Georgia - Solimar restaurant manager for her hard work, energy and well organized delicious menu. And to her united, qualified team which made each day so unique and yummy. Last but not least was Greek music evenings in Solimar. Come to Solimar and try it by your own.

Loved our stay here. Great good, staff were so friendly the facilities were great and it was a good location. Bus stop right outside took us straight into Rethymno town in 15 mins. Always plenty of food to eat, great verity. Beds were a tiny bit hard but we asked for a mattress topper and it was fine. Beach was very stoney so would recommend shoes. Simple room but everything we needed with a nice balcony. Everywhere was nice and clean, and staff were so helpful and friendly. Highly recommend!

Me and my husband stayed att Solimar Dias for a week with Detur from Sweden. We really enjoyed our stay. When we arrived at 3.30 in the morning the kitchen had prepared a cold buffét for us in the restaurant. The service in the restaurant and in the poolbar was excellent and the drinks were very good. The food had a good variety and was tasteful. The poolarea and the garden was very nice and the hotel is very close to the beach. There is a busstop for Rethymnon right outside the hotel. The only downside was the hard beds. We would absolutely love to come back.

I would like to recommend this hotel to people, who want to feel like in paradise. I give 5 stars, my children 10 stars. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, we feld very well.The hotel is very quiet, the rooms are fantastic with beautiful view across the gardens and pool, cleaned every days with new towels and bedding. The food was very good with lovely greek dishes and with very sympatic cook. We spent holiday in another hotels (Europe, USA) and here we found more - opend hearts. We have just returned from this hotel and stayed 2 weeks ( room 319) . From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we felt welcomed . The roo.m was fantastic with beautiful views across the gardens and pool . It was cleaned everyday with new towels and bedding etc. The food and the staff were faultless and helpful. A fantastic array of food from hot plates to cold . Salad and fruit a plenty . Pool bar with staff who were friendly and welcoming with variety of cocktails and drinks . Reception staff expecially Georgia were extremely helpful and freindly . I would recommend this hotel for couples and children. Location was excellent and within easy walking distance to many Taverns and bars . Overall a holiday made better thanks to a lovely hotel n staff .
