Well, what can I say after reading the reviews, almost all negative, I was about to cancel everything, but as soon as I arrived I had to change my mind. Working air conditioning, swimming pool in perfect condition, the only flaw high water min 1.60, max. 1.90. Excellent location for a visit to the temples of Agrigento. Something about cleaning, such as dry palm leaves, left around, near the parking lot, in short, with a little more attention it would have deserved the 5 stars. I won't comment on the restaurant because I didn't have lunch, only sweet and savory breakfast. Courteous and helpful reception staff.

The hotel is a bit dated, but I appreciated the antique style and very spacious rooms. This hotel is in a very touristy area and I was there at the end of October, so many of the stores, restaurants and attractions in the area were closed. My impression is that this is a lovely hotel to stay in during the summer when it it hot. The pool is enormous and it has great views of the sea.

Another group hotel. Mattress was the worst of the worst. Lots of mosquitoes in the room created a nightmare. While it's located close to the beach, that's really all it's got going for it. Another buffet breakfast.. lousy cappuccino too. Don't bother choosing this one...

Awful hotel. Not tired but exhausted. We stayed one night(more than enough) We had bedside lights BUT without bulbs. They put A bulb in one of the lamps not both. Breakfast a joke. Be warned. Don't book this hotel

For me this hotel give me one of the best vacation experience! The front desk staff two women and a young men when out of their way to help me whit every need I had even if it was out of there responsibility and or scope of work. I needed to travel to Palermo airport but the train authority was working on the rails we spend a lot of time figuring out what was the best plan of action to make this 3 hours trip a great experience w/o me spending 12 hours waiting for my flight at the airport. So I took the bus and spend only 2 hours at the airport to come back home Bravo!! Noeme the pool attendant and Alfonsa the room service ladie were particularly helpful in making my day go by smoothly and enjoyable wile sleeping well. The breakfast staff remember how you like your coffee after the fist morning, do I need to say more?

Our overall review is of a poor establishment. For a 4 Star hotel there is no complimentary drinking water in the room, in an area where the tab water is not drinkable; there are no tea/coffee facilities in the room; they charge 3 euros each for a pool side towel; however there is a phone in the bathroom…. Is that why they got a 4 Star rating? Cleaning is good. Beds are comfortable; breakfast is below average (don’t get coffee from the machine if you care for your life…) ask the waiter. All in all the place has a rundown feeling…. Great potential but no will!

Hotel on the water, no beach. Clean room and sheets. Fairly comfortable bed. Hard pillow. Hot shower in large bathroom. Small fridge with pay for mini bar items. TV. A/C controlled from front desk. Large balcony with chairs. Elevators Good breakfast. Friendly desk staff . Lovely pool.

During a recent trip to Sicily we spent 3 nights at this hotel. It is not a very nice hotel to say the least. The rooms are extremely well worn, they should have been redone years ago. The breakfast is mediocre at best - canned fruit every day, we’re in Sicily why can’t you have fresh fruit. The only thing the hotel has to recommend itself is a nice pool, but be aware that swim caps are required for all swimmers and there is a fee for a pool towel. Also, the pool was closed for most of one day when we were there with no explanation. Yes, the hotel is near the water and some rooms offer great views. That doesn’t make up for towels with stains and holes. The staff “hides” away, for example there was often no one at the front desk. I will never return to this hotel. The worst hotel I’ve every stayed in.

Thankfully stayed for just one night at The Discouri with a vjv tour. Very basic rooms in dire need of refurbishment. Fridge not working properly and no tea/coffee making facilities. Air conditioning was dreadful, very noisy and could only be regulated at hotel reception ( who refused to oblige). Bathroom not great, there was a shower curtain which didn't look too clean. Don't think they should use them in the era of Covid, very unhygienic. Breakfast was OK nothing special. Staff on reception unhelpful and dismissive. Can't understand why vjv keep using this place.
