Very good room in a separate building on a farm. Easy to find, very close to the road but quiet. Amazing breakfast with home made breads, marmalades… Possibility to buy home made gifts. Great logo representing the sign they use to recognise their sheep.

We stayed here for one night on our trip around the Ring Road. This guesthouse is in a separate building from the owner's residence on a working farm with sheep. The guesthouse has 3 separate rooms with private bathrooms. There is a small common area and small breakfast/dining nook. Elisabeth, the hostess is a lovely woman who has the gift of hospitality. She made us a delicious fish dinner (extra cost) and breakfast with her own homemade jams. Our room was simple, quiet and comfortable. The views of the snow-capped mountains from this valley are stunning and make you think you are in Switzerland.

We stayed four days in the guesthouse and it was fantastic. Everything is perfect: the place, the house, the farm with the animals (Sofia still misses the lambs and the dogs!!), the rooms news and supercleans, the decor, the dinner prepared just for us and very yummy, the river near the house, and above all the family that runs the guesthouse: very kind, never intrusive, serene and happy to share their life with us. It was nice to meet you, we hope to return soon!! Ciao from the three generation: Giovanna, Sandra e Sofia

Elisabeth is a wonderful, cheerful hostess with a comfortable B and B in a stunning valley just outside Akureyri. Her guesthouse has views of snow capped mountains, sheep, cows, horses and pasture. Our room was comfortable and clean. The fish dinner she made for us (additional cost) and the breakfast were delicious and large portions. She treated us like her personal house guests. Highly recommend!

A lovely room on a working farm. Beautiful views all around. Breakfast was amazing and the homemade cookies were delicious. Thank you for a lovely stay

The guest house is a separate, unique building on a farm where sheep and some cows graze nearby. Elisabeth, our hostess, also provided a very delicious--and quite generous---dinner at an extremely reasonable price. Breakfast, which is included, was equally delicious and generous. Elisabeth is a fastidious housekeeper, very friendly, and is also a nurse and midwife! The location is fabulous, surrounded by ( in our case) gorgeous, snow-covered mountains.

Our stay at the Guesthouse Baegisa was excellent and a wonderful start to our trip. The accommodations were simple and well done. The view from the window and the surrounding area were truly breathtaking. The guesthouse owners were similarly amazing and so welcoming; it was a pleasure to stay there. Breakfast was memorable, with a selection of homemade jams, muesli and home-baked breads, and was a delicious way to wake up after a restful night's sleep with the gentle sounds of a nearby stream and animals on the delightful farm. Our only regret was not staying longer. We would highly recommend Guesthouse Baegisa to anyone looking to sample the charm and extraordinary beauty of north Iceland. The ideal location and warm hospitality ensures that we will return. Thank you for the experience!

We loved this place. Its a working farm, and Elizabeth let us walk around and meet the animals... It was baby season, so there were tons of lambs and even a BEAUTIFUL grey baby calf which we fell in love with. The valley is strikingly beautiful with horses, and views of waterfalls from your breakfast table. We arrived late in the day and the owners were extremely flexible on feeding us... its best to consider eating here (dinner) since its a bit of a drive to any restaurant. Overall a wonderful experience -- we look forward to returning and spending a bit more time in the peaceful valley --- its perfect place to decompress! (no TV, but the wifi was excellent)
