Anji Mailan B&B Reviews

The hotel is located in a small village at the heart of the bamboo forest, which offers stunning views on the surrounding mountains and tea fields. The rooms are nicely decorated and pretty well equipped. The personal is very kind and try to be helpful. That being said, our stay was not as good as we had expected because the bedroom and the restaurant were freezing cold. When we first arrived in our room the heating was off so we had to turn it on, which was fine, however 5h later it was still only 17°c in the room and it was already getting dark… We complained and the staff kindly offered to upgrade us to a room which was supposed to be warmer and it was, but only by one or two degrees depending on the hour of the day. The restaurant was only 10°c so we had to eat with jackets and hats on. The floor heating had not been turned on yet unfortunately. So if you consider staying at this hostel during Autumn/Winter make sure to ask if the floor heating is on before booking.

We had a wonderful stay here. The service was excellent, very detailed and thoughtful. They upgraded us to a duplex room with amazing views over the mountains. Even so, the smaller room was lovely as well (they let us pick which one we preferred). They paid a lot of attention to detail, helped us call our drivers, order food, find little hiking routes etc. The food at the hotel is simple and fresh chinese countryside food. We enjoyed it. Overall, I'd highly recommend this place.

Amazing get away! Everything was perfect and everyone so kind and accommodating. I was very specific with food and each meal was made based on my requests.

Wow! We booked this hotel off another friend’s recommendation. Pros: the dinners were excellent, service was top-notch - the manager was so kind in helping us with all of our questions, our suite was clean, spacious and had amazing views, and the pool - we had it to ourselves, even during the National holiday! Cons: it’s a little walk from where the cars park/drop you off. During the national holiday, there were no didi’s that could pick us up since we were so far up the mountain. BUT we were able to do plan B- hike on the trail conveniently located directly behind the hotel, and it brought us to a little town and the entrance to the Hidden Dragon Waterfall park (which was worth doing!) Overall, it was great value for money, a quiet place (which is why you come to Anji in the first place), and we will definitely be back! Thank you Mailan Holiday Hotel.

I decided to go to Anji on the spur of the moment, so I randomly picked a B&B on Ctrip. I didn’t expect the environment to be so good, and it was very, very quiet. It was perfect for relaxing and taking photos. The housekeeper was super nice. He upgraded our room for free because of the large number of people we had. He knew we were going to check in at attractions and even proactively told us where we needed to avoid lightning. The bathroom supplies and small appliances in the B&B are also carefully selected. The B&B also has a swimming pool. I will stay here again in the summer~

The room is consistent with the pictures of the merchant. It feels like it has been designed with great care. The housekeeper is also very enthusiastic. He will go to the parking lot to help with luggage and also gives welcome fruits. The environment in the mountain is also good. The only problem is the sound insulation. I can hear People who are more sensitive to noise are recommended to choose the room type upstairs due to the noise of others climbing stairs and upstairs. Overall, it is not bad.

Praise the housekeeper, very thoughtful! The air in the mountains is so good. I saw golden cicadas peeling off their shells and fireflies. It was a great experience. We went on vacation with two or three families. We will go there again if we have the chance!

It’s fate to book the last room on the day of the itinerary. I’ve been thinking that the weather is bad, so I can’t see the fireflies. I didn’t expect to walk ten minutes to the hotel’s creek, and I found a tree full of it. The fireflies are so pleasantly surprised hahahaha the service attitude of the hotel is quite good. The only downside is that if the outdoor swimming pool is a little cleaner and the room is ventilated in advance, it will be perfect

The service is okay, but the sanitation and supporting facilities are not worth the price. The toilet needs to be cleaned. There is a lot of dust and lint in the cracks of the wooden structure and it has not been cleaned. The carpet is not very clean. There are many bugs around, and there is no insect repellent.
