We had a booking at this hotel for October 2021 on Airbnb. We asked them a few days before our flight if it's ok to leave the luggage at their reception in the morning and then come back for the check-in later on the day and their answer was that the hotel is closed due to COVID-19. If we wouldn't have asked them the question, we would probably have found out that the hotel is closed when we got there. Most definitely, it was not fun to try and find a new hotel just a few days before our flight with the city of Aqaba being full of tourists. Just a side note, don't know if it's true but our Wadi Rum host and also 2 taxi drivers told us that the hotel is not closed but they are probably over-booking.
