Very good Treasure Hotel, with a strong Nubian style and small rooms with unique shapes. Right by the Nile. Although the room is not big, it is small and exquisite, clean and tidy, and the service is warm and thoughtful. It was very comfortable to stay for two days. The food in the restaurant is a bit ordinary, but the juice and sandwiches in the bar are very delicious. I don't think it is necessary to stay in the old waterfall hotel. A welcome respite from a really terrible hotel experience across the river. The Sonesta took us in at the last minute and saw to our every need. Beautiful location, wonderful architecture, comfy beds, great wifi. A few nits: the vanity taps in the bathroom rocked around as if not installed properly and our magnifying mirror fell right off the wall when touched. They did repair the mirror asap. Also, the breakfast eggs were inedible. Must have been made from something reconstituted. Ick. Other food was edible, though but breakfast buffet needs improvement.

We stayed here in Aswan after a busy float up the Nile on a small felucca. The setting is serene a ways away from the hustle of the downtown. The layout of the hotel with individual cabanas is very spacious. The rooms are a good size each with its own patio. The decor a nice mix of modern and traditional furniture. The beds are comfy. The food in the restaurant is very good and the service very kind and respectful. We were near the end of our trip, had seen many temples and sites and really needed this peaceful oasis.
