"The location in Aswan is great, right next to the station. The price is a bit high, but I think it's one of the better options in Aswan. They also have laundry service, and the Nile River view is lovely."

"The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are nice, and the staff are very welcoming. It's a bit out of the way, but it's a comfortable place to relax. However, getting around the island can be a little inconvenient. You can see Philae Temple in the distance. The hotel offers a boat transfer service, but it's a bit pricey at $25. Breakfast was a bit basic, but dinner, which cost extra, was quite good."

"This was an absolutely terrible experience. I tried calling the front desk at night, but no one picked up. I went down to complain, and they didn't do anything about it. My laundry was supposed to be delivered by 4 PM, but it never arrived. When I asked about it that night, they said they'd get back to me but didn't. I had to call again the next morning to finally get it. The room door didn't close properly, leaving a huge gap. I booked a Nile view room and requested a king-size bed, but at check-in, I was given two keys: one for a twin-bedded room with a city view, and another for a king-size bed with a side view! Since it was dark, I had to choose the king-size side view room. The next day, I had to wait for ages to switch rooms. And I even brought a gift for the front desk, only to be completely ripped off! In short, everything was old and run down, and there was no one to answer service calls at night. They'd promise to send things right away but never did."

"The Nubian Village has many narrow alleys, so if you're traveling by business car, you'll need to pay attention to the route. The transportation is a bit far from the pier. Tuktuks are popular for short-distance travel within the village. Breakfast service is quite leisurely, so if you're in a hurry, it's best to inform them in advance. They thoughtfully provide bags for takeout breakfast, but dining in offers a much tastier and more abundant meal! Occasionally, there might be an inconvenient water outage, but it usually returns to normal after a while. If you report it to the front desk, they'll provide bottled water as a temporary solution. Even with the same room type, the level of newness can vary between different floors. This is because, according to their customs, they only build upwards when they have more money, so the houses aren't built all at once. The higher the floor, the newer and better the facilities. The restaurant upstairs is delicious and reasonably priced. I recommend eating there whether you're a guest or not! The guesthouse is very cozy, and no one will ask you for tips. Instead, they genuinely welcome you and offer any assistance you need. The owner, in particular, is incredibly kind. This wasn't the most well-equipped accommodation I stayed at during my trip to Egypt, but it was definitely the warmest, most memorable, most grateful, and most like coming home. If I ever visit Egypt again, I'll be back here. :)"

"After the emotional period, I evaluated this inn as objectively as possible. An inn opened by a local in a village next to the old Aswan Dam, about 5 kilometers away from Aswan city. Accommodation service only. All other services (drinking water, breakfast, travel, laundry, Internet) require additional payment. All prices are in US dollars. If you pay in Egyptian pounds, their exchange rate is 💲1=40LE, which is 33% higher than the actual exchange rate. Ctrip should conduct an on-site investigation before evaluating the cost-effectiveness of this price. In a country where the per capita monthly income is only 1,000 yuan, the price of staying in a farmhouse for one room for one night is indeed a bit of a huge profit. Temporary guests, the same room, 💲50 including breakfast, and a living room, it is a complete suite. Fees are just one of them. The landlord is irritable and unreasonable. On the day we arrived, the landlord turned off his phone and there was no answer when he knocked on the door. Later, other residents called the landlord's son. The young man's attitude was blunt and he only explained various charges. The landlord can knock on the door suddenly at night and ask us if we want to go to any attractions or if we need a chartered car or carpooling service. There was no prior phone communication. Because there are no other shops in the village, apart from eating at his house, I can only go to the city. The driver recommended by the landlord's son costs 100 Egyptian pounds per trip, 200 Egyptian pounds for a round trip, and 400 Egyptian pounds to the airport, which is twice the normal fee. If a driver undercharges, the landlord will question it. During the few days I lived there, I felt like a turtle in a urn for the first time. Close the door and rip off customers. We stayed for four nights and only took a shower one afternoon. The landlord turned off the hot water in the middle of the stay. He heard me yelling in the bathroom and turned the hot water on again. He also pretended to ask if he still needed hot water. When I came back from dinner in the evening, I cut off the hot water on the grounds that the water heater was being repaired. The child's father had to wait until he returned to Cairo the next day to take a shower. Because we rested in the inn for a day, the landlord asked us why the network traffic was going so fast? ! Two mobile phones and a daily Internet fee of 💲2, they actually turned on the WiFi after I asked for it every day. We walked out of the village and the villagers were very nice. Answer our questions and help us. The landlord just happened to drive by and didn't recognize us at all. He didn't ask us where we were going. Was it inconvenient? Do we need a ride? Because I chose to live here, my impression of Aswan as a whole was indeed compromised. All the way south from Cairo, this is the only place where I experienced the Egyptians robbing guests. This is my first time giving a negative review to a merchant. I originally wanted not to comment. But since Ctrip is promoting it, I must evaluate it truthfully. The breakfast and dinner tasted good, and I can only say that the hostess was quite polite. Without the kindness of the hostess, there would be nothing comforting about the inn. The house is on the waterfront, next to the pier. There is noisy boat motor noise at night, morning and all day long. The convenience and quietness, including the services provided by the inn, were completely different from the inn on the island near Aswan that we went to later. In short, I don’t recommend it."

"Facilities: New. Cleanliness: Clean. Environment: The location is a bit out of the way, and the surrounding buildings look run-down. However, it offers a fantastic river view, and watching the sunset is quite enjoyable. Service: Decent, though taxis can be a bit pricey. Overall: The main selling point is the affordable price, offering excellent value for money."

"Great staff, rooms, amenities, a good era hotel, very gorgeous. A little worn but a great hotel. Breakfast was just unsalted butter. Great view of the Nile, a great start to the trip. June 9, 2024, outside temperature 46 degrees. Aswan is a great place."

Aswan Plaza Hotel Corniche ★★★★
"The location was pretty good. The room didn't seem to be the type I booked. It was super spacious, and they prepared a room with one double and one single bed. The staff at check-in were friendly, and the Wi-Fi speed was decent. I didn't try the breakfast. There's a shopping mall connected right next door, and the Lavazza cafe on the first floor is open 24 hours, which was very useful. However, I left something behind at the hotel and contacted them. I asked about shipping it, but since I had already moved on to Luxor, they could only arrange a car delivery from Aswan to Luxor, which was a bit disappointing. It wasn't something expensive, so I decided not to pay for the car delivery and just gave up, but it was inconvenient for the rest of my trip since I'd left my electronic device charger. It would have been great if they could have shipped it to Cairo..."

"Much better than expected! The Nile view is stunning. Breakfast wasn't really suited for Chinese tastes, but the front desk lady was super nice. She even helped our friends, who were staying at another hotel, store their luggage."

"We had an absolutely AMAZING TIME! From our airport pick up (which I recommend). Even though it was 2am we were still greeted with fantastic Hibiscus tea from Edres he was fantastic. We were shown around even at that time. In the morning we asked for a call to see the sunrise and that was fantastic as well. In the morning we had a great typical breakfast and then a fantastic tour as well. Rowan and Aya also were wonderful. I would recommend this place to see the true Aswan and tour the Nubian Village. Also, the lunch was fantastic as well. Next time we want to spend more time. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay."

"The hotel is just next to the bazaar and we can visit the bazaar at night and go back to hotel easily. The room is comfortable to stay. As we needed to leave early in the morning to Abu Simbel Temple, the hotel prepared a breakfast takeaway box. The staff is helpful and it is nice to stay in this hotel."
