We saw Baguio Vacation House (BVH) while searching for pet-friendly hotels in Baguio City. PROS: 1. The mountain view from the veranda is beautiful. The only division in the veranda, however, are pot holders which can be easily removed by other guests. 2. The place is easy to find. Baguio Vacation House (BVH) is occupying the 2nd floor of TG Home Builders Bldg. CONS. 1. The ads in Tripadvisor said that BVH is pet- friendly but they charge a penalty of 350 pesos per pet. 2. They also require a 500 peso deposit, which is refundable upon checkout. Something they did not mention in their ads. BVH also requires full payment upon check in. 3. Parking is a big problem in BVH. I saw only 3 parking spaces, next to the garbage area, and cars were arranged in front of the other. So if your car is at the back, the hotel staff will ask the owners of the 2 cars in front to move theirs so you can go outside. Several times, we were asked to move our vehicle, which was very inconvenient because we planned ro leave the car in BVH and just take a taxi to tour around the city. We had to park our car beside the road because the pay parking they were mentioning, which was in Total Gas Station, was also full. I did not see any security guard during our entire stay. 4. They did not offer us breakfast and I did not see any bar. 5. Rude reception staff, does not know how to compute payment. 6. Steep, dangerous stairs. I saw an old woman fall from the stairs. The aluminum railing in the stairs is broken. 7. Not pet friendly because they charge a penalty of 350 pesos per pet. 8. The mat in the entrance is dangerous and will cause you to trip. Please be careful. 9. The bed, pillow, especially the blanket, did not smell good. 10. I was awake until 1:00am because of the noise of people running down the hallway and closing doors in the middle of the night. 11. Tissue and soap were not free.
