Our stay here was organized by Santiago Ways. The hotel is quite dated but clean. It is located right near a public beach in Bayona (and our room had a lovely view of it from a small balcony) however it is a 20min walk to "downtown" where the restaurants and shops are located. They have a small cafeteria/bar area right in the hotel where they served a copious breakfast (toast, croissants, ham, cheese, yogurt, fruit, coffee). The staff, though friendly, did not speak a lot of English (we spoke even less Spanish) and did not immediately provide the Pilgrimage documents or luggage tags which would have been problematic if we did not have other friends staying elsewhere that alerted us to this oversight. They did however accommodate us on the morning of our departure by providing a "bagged breakfast" (again on the generous side) because we needed to depart before the cafeteria/breakfast area was open. Also noteworthy was the very poor WiFi signal in many parts of the hotel including our room. Overall, it was adequate for the two day stay prior to our Pilgrimage start.
