Location - average. Quiet with a cafe and 3 to 4 local stalls selling local good food within walking distance.
Villa acceptable condition. Pool water a bit cloudy some of the taps not really working. WiFi, very weak but still able to surf but slow. Aircond not cold.
Staffs very helpful and friendly.
For the price to paid during off peak season, can't compare much.

The Swimiming pool not so nice, water not so clean. Service is good, I do have my welcome drinks. Facilities is good with TV, aircon, bathtub..But the bathtub is old and not clean. The toilet flush not so strong.

The state of the private villas is very poor (rusty tap, cracked floor, broken doors, stained toilet seat, stained curtains, stained mattress). The state of the entire hotel is even worse (green water in the main pool, broken sun deck, broken pathways, dog poo, bags of cement at every corner). We were supposed to stay four nights but checked out after the second one and were not refunded our money of course. The private villas are infested with mosquitoes. The breakfast is really poor and not even included in the price. Stray animals hanging around the villa. The general vibe makes you feel like you are staying in an abandoned construction site. The only pros are the staff trying their best to hide the misery and the quietness of the location. The worse is probably that we paid three times the price we paid in 2019…

We had stayed here in 2018 and loved the place but sadly a bit run down now and felt deserted. Kept very clean but toilet seats were a bit stained as was the bathtub. Closet doors in bedroom did not open without force, one extra hangar only. Lovely space, generous and king bed very comfortable, AC in bedroom worked very well and wifi was very good. Loved the downstairs lounge area out of the sun. Limited choice for dinner and breakfast but food was good and inexpensive. Really helpful people and tried very hard to solve little issues for us (toilet broken, pool needed cleaning, needed more soap, wanted water cooler) Pool area - wood decking at one end needs fixing. Lots of loose boards. Very friendly and they are trying to get back to a certain standard. No paying by credit card, cash or transfer only - should have been told that ahead I would think. Hope tourists and local come back and help rebuild a lovely place.

Avoid this place if you are looking for tranquillity. The villa right next door to us had 2x little dogs (the worst) barking DAY AND NIGHT NON STOP! We asked the management, the staff and the guest themselves to at least put them inside or do something about it. No one cares… we didn’t sleep for the entire stay.

In 2019, we booked a stay at Jays Villas for 2020 through ***********. Unfortunately due to COVID-19 and government restrictions we were unable to travel. Our booking was refundable until the day before travel and we emailed them to cancel. They asked if we could please try a credit until the end of 2020 first to see how long the restrictions would be in place, and because we love Bali so much we agreed to try that first. At the end of 2020 the restrictions were still in place, with no end in sight so we emailed again and asked for a refund, at which stage we were told they would not give us a refund and they changed our booking date on *********** to look like we had already traveled, therefore forfeiting our opportunity to cancel and obtain our refund through the app. We have now lost $700AUD and Jays Villas are refusing to refund our money. Very disappointed in the customer service and definitely would not recommend staying at a place that steals customers money through deceit.
