Not close to the train station or lift station. Requires a pretty good uphill walk. About 15-20 min walk uphill from train station, and about 10-15 min walk from the ski lift/gondola. But once you get there, the location is beautiful. The hotel does offer a shuttle/e-car/bus transport. It's quiet, overlooks the town, views of the mountains, perfect secluded space. Hotel is clean, rooms are beautifully designed, compact but functional. Beds are comfortable, loved the rooms. We had a family room which was perfect for our family of four. The family room consists of two separate rooms across from each other in the hallway. In the hallway, there was a private entrance that brought you into the space where the two rooms were located. We loved this, because it turned our hallway between the two rooms into a foyer. Service was attentive and detailed. Loved the welcome beverage at check-in - nice touch, set the tone for the rest of the stay. Bar was cute and menu was creative. Patio deck restaurant was a perfect place for lunch. Amazing view of town and mountains, outdoor kitchen. Restaurant was great - food and service were wonderful. Breakfast was lovely. We do wish they would have changed up a couple things each day, because it was the same thing every day. Pool/Spa area was amazing. It had everything - sauna, steam room, plunge pool, two lounge pools, hot tub, showers. Caution: remember we are in Europe, some people may enter some of the facilities nude. We are personally not accustom to that, so it was definitely a little alarming for our children to see grown adults around naked. It would not be a bad idea for the hotel to have a policy around nudity or at least warn guests at check-in, on the website, or with signage. Wengen was our favorite place we visited on our tour of Switzerland, will be back, and when we come back it will be at this hotel.

Guest UserI was very satisfied. The location is excellent, right in the bustling area of Interlaken. The front desk service was fantastic. The room had a coffee machine, an electric kettle, tea bags, and a bottle of mineral water. Plus, it came with a balcony, making for a very comfortable stay. Breakfast was also included. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit.

The Aarburg Hotel & Café is a charming little spot in Interlaken, just a 15-minute walk from Interlaken West train station. While it’s tempting to take the shortcut, I’d recommend sticking to the main road, especially in snowy weather—it’s much easier for pulling luggage.
Check-in was smooth and efficient, but do note there are no lifts in this cozy hotel. Carrying heavy bags up the narrow stairs was a bit of a workout, so pack light if you can.
One of the highlights of my stay was definitely the coffee—it lived up to all the glowing Google reviews. Breakfast was simple but wholesome, with fresh bread, croissants, yogurt, and healthy toppings like dried berries, almonds, and chia seeds. The café is pet-friendly, so don’t be surprised to see a few furry friends around.
The room itself was modest but comfortable. However, as the building is wooden, sounds tend to carry. We wondered if we were bothering other occupants but thankfully, no complaints! The location is peaceful, away from the main road, though the church bells that sound at intervals through the night was a little disturbing on the first night.
With a supermarket near the train station for quick snacks and essentials, this hotel is both convenient and quiet. Perfect for couples looking for a laid-back stay. I’d happily book here again if I return to Interlaken.

Absolutely stunning hotel! This place was nestled in such a gorgeous location! The view from the front of the hotel overseas lake Brienz. And the waterfall on the other side is a wonderful sight to explore. The hotel is historic, and due to that, they have some limitations on amenities. The rooms do not have centralized air. It was certainly not a deal breaker for us, but we did get warm during the day. The TV’s in the room were also small, and didn’t have access to the internet. Again, not a huge deal!
The staff was by far the most kind and helpful people we met during our trip to Switzerland! Absolutely incredible!
If you are visiting to see some Crash Landing On You sights, this hotel is almost perfectly in the middle of some major location. The landing dock is only 20 minutes away, and the panoramic bridge is about an hour. Though the drive to both locations was beautiful and well worth the time spent!
I would highly recommend this hotel, and certainly the restaurant! The food was spectacular and gave is that sense of royalty!

李家的木The helpful reviews are accurate. Awesome room view and great service from all staff. We have two adults and one child and they connected two single beds and provided and extra bed. I would say just book (level 4 lifestyle room) with a peace of mind and do remember to bring your own toiletries.

Guest UserThis hotel was honestly a really good value for the price. The location is very convenient — less than a 5-minute walk from the train station, and there are also bus stops nearby, so getting around was very easy.
It is in a quiet neighborhood with a nice atmosphere. Opening the window in the room, you can see calm and peaceful scenery outside, which made the stay feel very relaxing.
The room and bathroom were nice, and the bathroom had a separate shower area, which was really convenient.
One thing I especially appreciated was the shared dining area. There was a place to boil water, make coffee or tea, and they also provided microwave, basic utensils and tableware. It was very useful for us since we brought some instant noodles and simple food back to the hotel at night. Haha, the selection of one British tea brand they provided here felt even more varied than what I usually see in supermarkets back in the UK.
The staff were also very kind and helpful. I accidentally lost a T-shirt there, but they contacted housekeeping for me and eventually found it. I really appreciated their help.
We stayed here for two nights, and because the hotel was fully booked for our last night in Interlaken, we moved to another hotel that was more expensive. But we still preferred this one because it felt more comfortable and practical for travelers like us.

If you prioritize prime location, historical authenticity, and high efficiency, this hotel is the ultimate choice. Far from the cookie-cutter modern chains, this historic establishment (dating back to 1898) perfectly balances classic European charm with excellent modern service.
The location is unbeatable—just a short walk from the station, allowing you to drop your bags and head straight to the mountains without wasting any energy. The staff is professional and adds a wonderful personal touch to the experience. Highly recommended for savvy travelers who value efficiency and authentic quality. 5/5 stars!

The location is fantastic, right next to the train station. The front desk staff were very friendly. There were no curtains in the room, and the charging outlets weren't European standard; you need a Swiss adapter, which you can also borrow from the front desk. The main issue is that the charging ports face downwards, so chargers fall out due to gravity. This design is quite frustrating. The breakfast was good, though.

The first night the shower in our room was too hot that we couldn't take the shower. It was fixed only on the 2nd day. Breakfast spread is rather limited and charges extra for omelette which are normally included in most breakfast packages. However, they do have hard boiled eggs in their breakfast package. Location is about a 10 - 15 minute walk from Interlaken Ost if you're carrying luggage. However there.is a station drop off service offered by the hotel free of charge.

Hotel is a 10-15mins walk from Interlaken West station. Surrounding has quite a number of cafes, restaurants and souvenir shops. It is also in a scenic part of Interlaken where you can see the mountains and the blue waters in the stream which makes for great photos. You can also spot para gliders too. If you walk along the lake you can reach Interlaken Ost station in about 20mins or so. Quite a nice walk along the river!
The hotel itself is 3-storey. Everything is pretty much self service and there is no reception/staff around - you key in a code to enter the main entrance, and there is a desktop/tablet for you to check in yourself. There is a small luggage room for you to leave your luggage inside. There is also a small common pantry with some basic electrical appliances like kettle and fridge for guests. There is no lift and you have to carry your luggage up the spiral staircase.
The room itself is small, clean and simple - just a bed, some hangers and a toilet. There is no TV. Hotel left a toblerone chocolate on the bed as a gift for us which is cute. Also found out that the owner owns a cafe around the corner (called “Spatz”) and we were given a coffee voucher which was nice. We needed some help with check in and we went to the cafe to look for the owner for help, and he kindly helped us.
