Shaoxing Hotels with Bars

This stay was absolutely fantastic! The Tmall Genie in the room was a godsend for a lazy person like me; I could just lie in bed and shout to turn the lights on/off or adjust the air conditioning – super high-tech. The biggest surprise was the mini-fridge; it was a good size and kept things perfectly cold, so my pre-chilled drinks were just right. The facilities were new, and everything was spotless. The thoughtful details made the trip so much easier. I'll definitely choose this place again!

This is the first time I've genuinely wanted to leave a hotel review, and it's because my stay was absolutely fantastic. It's currently the May Day holiday, so prices are a bit higher, but honestly, on a normal day, this hotel would be incredible value for money. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the bedding was exceptionally soft. Plus, the hotel provided a full range of toiletries, the breakfast was rich and delicious, and they even left some complimentary snacks in the room. There were also afternoon treats available in the restaurant! The staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming. It was truly a perfect stay, and if I ever come back to Shaoxing, I'll definitely be staying here again.

Facilities: The facilities are complete, the rooms are spacious, and the kids loved the tatami beds. The baseboard heater was always on, so we basically didn't need to turn on the air conditioning. Hot water was plentiful. Cleanliness: The cleanliness was good, with no major flaws. Environment: The environment is first-class. It's the only guesthouse located within the Keyan Scenic Area, so guests don't need to buy tickets to enter the scenic area. It's perfect for families to book during holidays, allowing you to enjoy the scenic views privately before the morning and evening rush hours. Service: The manager is very professional, a smart and hardworking young man, and extremely enthusiastic in his service. During our stay, we even encountered the owner's wedding procession and received some wedding candy. The owner must be a very good person to be able to hire such excellent staff.

First and foremost, a huge thank you to my butler, Helen, for the prompt service. Not only did she help upgrade my room type, but she also thoughtfully sent my student a birthday cake. And when I left, she even gave me double the complimentary gifts! Secondly, I was absolutely amazed by the lush greenery of Xinchang. With its beautiful mountains, clear waters, and stunning scenery, Anantara has truly leveraged this to create the Qingya Yougu hotel here. It's not just an escape from the world, but also a serene and luxurious experience. Finally, a small suggestion: during dinner, the service staff seemed a little stretched and not always prompt – though I can definitely understand why.

We stayed at this resort for a two-night, three-day trip, and while the building and location were visually impressive, our overall experience fell short of expectations, especially for international travelers. First, the golf course was not well-maintained and did not resemble the pristine images shown online. Additionally, while the archery court was fine, it lacked proper safety protections, making it a concern for families traveling with young children. Despite being branded as an Italian resort, there was no functioning Italian restaurant during our stay, which was quite disappointing. Even though the breakfast was really good, the food options for lunch and dinner were very limited, especially for non-Chinese guests. As visitors from Nepal, we found it difficult to enjoy the meals, and one member of our group who is vegetarian struggled even more to find suitable food options. There were no alternative dining options nearby, so if you don’t bring snacks or food with you, your choices are extremely restricted. Another challenge was the language barrier. Only one staff member could speak basic English, which made communication quite difficult at times. While the venue might be suitable for events like weddings or photoshoots due to its scenic appearance, it’s not ideal for a relaxing getaway unless you come with your own activities planned. Without that, there isn’t much to do onsite, and the lack of entertainment, food variety, and language support made the experience feel isolating. Overall, this resort has potential, especially in terms of architecture and ambiance, but it still needs significant improvements in service, food, and international accessibility to truly be welcoming for global guests.

Overall, the hotel was great, and we had a fantastic two-night stay with the kids. The room size was decent, and the view outside in April was a lovely green, very comfortable. Miss Duck reached out to us in advance, she was super enthusiastic, sending us information on all the activities ahead of time and fulfilling every request. She even brought us fruit and sparklers! 🫶 Exceeded our expectations. Facilities: The outdoor playground for kids is large with a good variety of play equipment, pretty good. The indoor play area is indeed quite small, so it's better to come on a sunny day. Food and drinks at the hotel, like coffee and cake, weren't expensive. In the evening, there were bonfire and movie activities, which created a wonderful atmosphere. Breakfast was very rich and varied, with all the local specialties. The roasted sweet potatoes and noodles were delicious! We'll definitely come back again.

The proprietress also introduced other activities of the hotel very enthusiastically, such as ordering tea and flower arrangement. Suitable for literati Yashi, or travelers who like classical culture. In addition, the hotel does not have a lift, but strolling around the hotel's courtyard design is also a pleasure.

The B&B has a beautiful environment and the rooms are warm and comfortable. The host is hospitable and the service is attentive. It is convenient to travel around and experience the local customs. It’s a wonderful place to stay while traveling and highly recommended!

This hotel is an excellent choice for anyone visiting Shaoxing, especially if you're here to see Lu Xun's former residence. It's super convenient, just 100 meters to the right when you exit the hotel. It's also very close to Xu Wei's former residence and the old streets. The room was comfortable, and the owner was very thoughtful; they even provided a therapeutic mat on the bed, which made sleeping very pleasant. The front desk staff were also very welcoming. Highly recommend!
