Bordeaux Hotels with Bars

A very new and upscale French hotel, living up to the Renaissance brand. The rooms were new, and the amenities were excellent, especially the body lotion and conditioner. The bedding was also very comfortable. The hotel has a bar with panoramic views of Bordeaux at night. The breakfast was plentiful and of high quality. However, the receptionist was a bit arrogant and didn't explain the parking rules. Even though there were parking spaces available at the entrance, they told us to park in the adjacent paid parking lot. We noticed some cars were still parked in that spot. There were also free parking spaces on the street, but they didn't mention we could try looking for paid spaces instead. This isn't about the money; it's a lack of service awareness from the receptionist or concierge. By the way, the hotel's Christmas decorations were beautiful! 👍

Modern and well maintained hostel. Every member of staff I spoke with were always very helpful and friendly. No communal kitchen unfortunately but there is a microwave which was very useful. Laundry room, small gym always a positive! Location is bit far of a walk from the center, but trams are located no more than 5 minutes away. Also a short walk away from Les Halles de Bacalan and plenty of bars and clubs if that's your sort of thing. Very pleasant experience at Whoo Hostel

Positive: fantastic location just off the main shopping street. Near shops, restaurants, pubs etc And less than 50m from a branch of Bordeaux’s famous caneles shop La Toque Cuivree. (Don’t leave with trying a few!) Slight negative: it’s in a pedestrian only street. We weren’t affected but if you need to handle bulky luggage, the taxis can’t drive up to the hotel’s doorstep and you have to walk 100m or so. Negative: the bathroom shower area was on a raised platform and wasn’t fully enclosed. The shower tile flooring became slippery once wet, and this made stepping up and down an exercise in caution.

The location is acceptable, in the central area of Bordeaux, 500 meters walk after getting off the airport bus, the gate entrance is on the side of the street, easy to find, arrive at more than 10 o'clock in the evening, there are many people at the entrance of the bar, and feel safe. The rooms are small, with good hygiene, comfortable bedding and average breakfast. The front desk was good, and the taxi was booked, a better experience.

The hotel is modern and overall comfortable, and the rooms are decent for a short stay. The bed was comfortable enough and the general atmosphere of the hotel is pleasant. However, I think some aspects could be improved to better match the expectations of a four-star hotel. The main point is the breakfast. The selection was quite limited and did not feel like a four-star hotel breakfast, closer to what you would expect from a three-star hotel at most. I would recommend that the management look at the breakfast offered in other four-star hotels for comparison. In many hotels in Portugal, Spain, or Madeira Island (where I am from), the breakfast selection is usually much more varied and of higher quality. Improving this would make the overall stay much better and more in line with the hotel’s category.

🟢 The location was very convenient and easy to travel around. We parked there and then used the tramway to get around. Convenient and easy. The inside of the building looks fresh and good. The rooms were quite big so we could spread everywhere. Surprised to see the toilets and showers separated, but enjoyable. Large choice for the breakfast for 18€ but had to wait sometimes for refill. 🔴 the staff wasn't really friendly except if you were the one to do your approach and talk to them. There was an alarm early morning during our stay and no-one was at the reception to greet us and tell us if we had to evacuate or anything. When we (other clients and us) told the réceptionnist it wasn't normal she got upset and replied back instead of apologising or anything. The staff didn't know what they were supposed to do in this case. Not reassuring if there's an actual fire someday. 🟡 cleaning wasn't amazing but could have been worse so no comment on that.

The hotel is newly renovated. The reception lobby is designed as muti propose use: playing table tennis, book reading, food enjoying. The sound proof in the room is good. Many choose is for the breakfast. The tram stop is just at the front of the hotel. You may take a tram ride to the hotel from airport with 1.7Euro. There is less than 10 minutes walk to the railway station or take a tram ride for a stop only. The staff is quite helpful. The disadvantage is the room is relatively small.

Hôtel parfaitement situé,service de bagagerie très très pratique,personnel charmant,au calme malgré la proximité du tramway A revoir la propreté des chambres malheureu*****t,nous y avons séjourné 2 nuits mais la chambre n a pas été nettoyé les draps tout juste tirés avec le lit plus ou moins fait,les toilettes pas nettoyé,la moquette de la chambre pas aspiré et il manquait également une serviette que nous avons dû aller récupérer a l accueil donc a revoir quand même pour un 4 etoiles Sinon au top

The location is great, only a short walk to the city centre. The tram stop is also very close by. The room was a good size, however rather dated, the bed soft and the shower hook was broken, so I was unable to hang the shower up when showering. Overall it was a rather disappointing stay and I won’t be rebooking on another visit. I stayed at the budget hotel next door last visit, which overall was better, just extremely compact. Reception staff were also not very warm and welcoming.

relatively good value overall. But travellers should bare in mind, they do not adhere to a normal practice of allowing customer to store luggage free of charge, they charge 5 for that. In addition, transport from airport is not straightforward, and is misleading in their email that says direct access is possible via tram. At the moment of writing, it costs more than an hour to arrive at this hotel from airport via public transport.
