The hotel is right next to the Wine Museum, a 2-minute walk. It's not far from the city center either; it's about a 15-20 minute ride by light rail, but walking takes about an hour. Check-in service was good, and the room was clean. However, one thing was very disappointing: for those driving, parking is available in the parking lot next to the hotel. The hotel staff clearly stated they could provide a parking discount code. When we went to pay, no one was working at the payment counter, and the machine couldn't process the payment. After explaining this to the front desk, they called the parking lot manager, saying someone would be there later, and then told us to go talk to the manager about getting a partial refund. At this point, the front desk staff seemed indifferent and offered no assistance, which was quite disappointing. The attitude of the staff at check-out was vastly different from that at check-in.

Jordanxo3Modern and well maintained hostel. Every member of staff I spoke with were always very helpful and friendly. No communal kitchen unfortunately but there is a microwave which was very useful. Laundry room, small gym always a positive!
Location is bit far of a walk from the center, but trams are located no more than 5 minutes away. Also a short walk away from Les Halles de Bacalan and plenty of bars and clubs if that's your sort of thing.
Very pleasant experience at Whoo Hostel

The hotel is quite near Gare de Bordeaux St Jean, about 10 minutes’ light walking distance away. The hotel is neat and tidy. It provides free apples upon check-in. There’s a mix-up about breakfast, which I was almost charged for upon check-out when the staff at check-in mentioned all was already included in my booking (city tax and breakfast). She even mentioned dinner was included. Thankfully, I checked again with her, and she mentioned I could check them out and pay upon check-out. Duh. However, in the end, the breakfast fees were waived off, thankfully. There’s a water dispenser near the lift where we could top up water. There’s a fridge and safe deposit box, as well as coffee and tea sachets available in the room. The lighting was not that bright in the room, but since it’s already May, the sunset happens after 9 p.m. anyway, so it’s not a big issue. I think they purposely made the room a bit darker as well for ambiance, maybe.

hawsonFirst time to Bordeaux to participate in the red wine marathon. These are two things I like! The inefficiency, relaxation and slightly arrogant attitude of the French are the reasons why I don't like them. This restaurant turned out to be a Japanese restaurant. It's not bad if you can choose the wine you like, but there was no hot main course. As an exception, I was given a bowl of French-Japanese style Chinese vegetable noodles! Finally, the next day, my Boston Marathon commemorative jacket was gone. In addition, I was overcharged by more than 2,700 euros at the checkout. They said it was a mistake. At first, they refused to give me the bill. In the end, I found out that it was a mistake. I almost called the police before they admitted their mistake. This issue has always been in a state of inconclusiveness. Ctrip's communication is also pale and powerless. It seems that Ctrip is not influential enough overseas, especially in Europe. By the way, the parking fee is 40 euros per night...

Positive: fantastic location just off the main shopping street. Near shops, restaurants, pubs etc And less than 50m from a branch of Bordeaux’s famous caneles shop La Toque Cuivree. (Don’t leave with trying a few!)
Slight negative: it’s in a pedestrian only street.
We weren’t affected but if you need to handle bulky luggage, the taxis can’t drive up to the hotel’s doorstep and you have to walk 100m or so.
Negative: the bathroom shower area was on a raised platform and wasn’t fully enclosed. The shower tile flooring became slippery once wet, and this made stepping up and down an exercise in caution.

Sergio Alexandre SousaThe hotel is modern and overall comfortable, and the rooms are decent for a short stay. The bed was comfortable enough and the general atmosphere of the hotel is pleasant.
However, I think some aspects could be improved to better match the expectations of a four-star hotel. The main point is the breakfast. The selection was quite limited and did not feel like a four-star hotel breakfast, closer to what you would expect from a three-star hotel at most.
I would recommend that the management look at the breakfast offered in other four-star hotels for comparison. In many hotels in Portugal, Spain, or Madeira Island (where I am from), the breakfast selection is usually much more varied and of higher quality. Improving this would make the overall stay much better and more in line with the hotel’s category.

TratratracyThe location of this hostel is very good, just in the city center, there will be tramps in the square at night, I just stayed for one night and didn't see many tramps, but there are still some tramps, Bordeaux night if you go alone is still a little scared because they are There are still some homeless or drunk people asking for cigarettes or change. One advantage of this hostel is that there is a Carrefour supermarket next to it to buy everything. The girls themselves can buy breakfast or drinks. They are themselves a small bar and can buy coffee in the morning, but the coffee is not good.
Very good, I live in a girl's room, the locker at the bedside takes a little time to study how to use the lock, you will understand what I am saying when you live in, I thought he was bad at first, remember to bring your own lock, Otherwise, you can buy with them when checking-in. The good place for this store is that he has an elevator, but everyone in the elevator can go up and down, so the only thing protecting yourself is the key of your room, so remember to lock the door. There is no place to hang clothes in the bathroom. There is a hair dryer. The toilet is separated from the bathroom. It is not very clean. It is a bit shabby. It can only be said that this youth hostel is not very new. But it is still acceptable because the location is too good.

Guest UserGreat hotel in Bordeaux! Very nice, well-located, super clean, good amenities and the staff were super friendly. I would have given a 10/10, but although breakfast was good the scrambled eggs at breakfast were made with powdered eggs instead of real eggs . That said, the fact that this is my only complaint shows just how good the hotel really is!

🟢 The location was very convenient and easy to travel around. We parked there and then used the tramway to get around. Convenient and easy. The inside of the building looks fresh and good. The rooms were quite big so we could spread everywhere. Surprised to see the toilets and showers separated, but enjoyable. Large choice for the breakfast for 18€ but had to wait sometimes for refill.
🔴 the staff wasn't really friendly except if you were the one to do your approach and talk to them. There was an alarm early morning during our stay and no-one was at the reception to greet us and tell us if we had to evacuate or anything. When we (other clients and us) told the réceptionnist it wasn't normal she got upset and replied back instead of apologising or anything. The staff didn't know what they were supposed to do in this case. Not reassuring if there's an actual fire someday.
🟡 cleaning wasn't amazing but could have been worse so no comment on that.

The hotel room was okay and the location was relatively remote. I stayed for 3 nights and received a deposit of 380 euros. I locked the credit card and confirmed it with the front desk when I left. Everything was fine. The deposit was refunded to me two days later. But they charged me 132 euros and called me to ask what happened. They said we had used the hotel breakfast, but we said no. In the end, the hotel took a minute to verify it and said it was a mistake. Now we have to refund the money. I have an IBAN account. Bank of China does not have such an account at all. Then they told me to send me the process of checking the account number. The first time I gave them my husband’s account number, I did not receive an email after an hour. The second time I called them, they sent my email again. I gave it to them, but I didn’t send an email. I sent an email to the hotel again, and I’ll see when they will get a reply. I feel like it was intentional.
