It is not easy to rate this establishment. Its not that its not good, just it may be good for a small segment of travellers. The B&B is in a renovated old building with some very nice architectural artefacts. However, the design of the use of space is not too friendly to a traveler, especially if you plan to stay there for a few days or more. Let me first talk about the things I like about this B&B: 1. Beautiful old building, 2. very good room size for the room I rented, including a huge bathroom with bathtub. The room is bright with two big french door and window. Areas that I think it would improve to make staying there more enjoyable and convenient: 1. There is no closet or to put your clothes, so we have to lay out all our clothings on a big coach. If you have clothes, pants and jackets you want to hang, you may be out of luck, since there is very little space for hanging clothes, and the hangers supplied could not hang pants. So we lay our pants on the big couch. 2. The night tables are very small and not too much space to put a tablet and a phone and a glass of water there. We have to put the table lamp on the floor in order to make space for other items. 3. The toilet is in a different room outside of the bedroom area, and away from the bathroom. Unfortunately, there is no sink in the toilet area, and each time after going to toilet, one have to walk over to the bathroom to wash your hands, a bit inconvenient. 4. On arrival, we were asked what kind of bread we want in the morning, we indicated chocolate croissant, and we were given that for the 5 days we stayed there for breakfast. I think it would have been nice if they have offered other choices each morning. 5. There is no menu for the breakfast, and person looking after the breakfast would come and ask what you want. Unless I know of all the items that they can provide, I could only ask for the familiar items. I thought a simple menu with different offerings would be useful for clients.

Nous avons apprécié l'attention apportée en amont pour préparer notre venue. Le parking est vraiment à proximité et tout était anticipé pour nous favoriser l'accès. Accueil professionnel. L hôtel est idéalement situé. Et le couchage est très confortable. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

The hotel is situated in a perfect location. It is in downtown and a few steps from the tram B. I particularly appreciated the cleanliness and the quality of the bed. My room was very quiet, although pretty small. I won’t recommend it for two people. The staff is gentle and professional. What was disappointing was the unavailability of a business room for work at the needed time. I had to go out to find a place for my business call at 9:00 AM.

The hotel is in a great location to visit the city even walking away, but there is also a garage and a public parking for those in the car, it is also close to the bus stop and a shopping centre. The rooms are quiet, spacious and complete, comfortable beds, small kitchen and functional bathroom with bath and shower. The cleaning and handbag change after arrival are required and include an additional supplement The ideal solution for visiting Bordeaux

All the staff are very kind and sincere. The room is really clean and spacious. When I had a problem with my car, the manager solved it, even if it happened after checking it out. I remember Bordeaux is one of the best cities and Hotel Vatel is the best in Bordeaux.

The rooms are nice. We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights. My wife found a small bug on the bed. It wasn’t a bed bug but the staff was nice enough to change our rooms. The rooms are not the same even though they’re the same rate. One has a dressing table while the other doesn’t have one. So make sure to ask if you check in early enough. It is walkable to the city centre but not that close. Service staff was helpful and cheerful. Overall, it is good.

The hotel is conveniently located next to the train station. It is very clean and quiet, so it’s easy to sleep at night. The only thing we didn’t like is that you can’t adjust aircon to be very cold, so we had to open windows to let in some cool air.

The room is clean and the neighborhood is quiet. It's a bit far from the city center but it doesn't take long to walk. The only small drawback is that the rooms in the back building don't have an elevator (there are only two floors). When checking out, you can ask the hotel staff to help carry your luggage downstairs.

A trendy hotel with nice roof top but too expensive for what it is.. design is dated service is a bit too friendly almost nonchalant, bedroom have nice details but weird setup, no shampoo on the shower weirdly and a random soap.. the square on front of the restaurant is trash and stink with homeless people shouting outside (noisy at night) not very convinced on the concept anymore

🟢 The location was very convenient and easy to travel around. We parked there and then used the tramway to get around. Convenient and easy. The inside of the building looks fresh and good. The rooms were quite big so we could spread everywhere. Surprised to see the toilets and showers separated, but enjoyable. Large choice for the breakfast for 18€ but had to wait sometimes for refill. 🔴 the staff wasn't really friendly except if you were the one to do your approach and talk to them. There was an alarm early morning during our stay and no-one was at the reception to greet us and tell us if we had to evacuate or anything. When we (other clients and us) told the réceptionnist it wasn't normal she got upset and replied back instead of apologising or anything. The staff didn't know what they were supposed to do in this case. Not reassuring if there's an actual fire someday. 🟡 cleaning wasn't amazing but could have been worse so no comment on that.
