The room was absolutely beautiful, offering a direct view of the Forbidden City.
The 'Listening to the Forbidden City' themed afternoon tea at Mandarin Oriental: The new theme for the afternoon tea was a bit underwhelming. Both its presentation and taste were rather average, and the flavor, in particular, was quite disappointing.

My daughter absolutely adores the Mandarin Oriental Wangfujing, which is why we always stay here when we come to Beijing. The Mandarin Room offers direct views of the Forbidden City, and it's wonderfully cool and comfortable to enjoy the scenery from our room, even in the height of summer. I really want to commend the hotel's service. Cassie, in particular, offered thoughtful daily tips and was incredibly attentive to our little one's needs. All the other staff were also warm, genuine, and truly welcoming – a far cry from just cold politeness. When the facilities are on par, outstanding service is truly the ultimate differentiator.

The facilities are a bit dated. However, for someone particular about cleanliness, it was definitely clean enough. The ambiance was lovely with comfortable bedding and meticulous service. The staff were incredibly attentive, always greeting guests with a warm smile. Housekeeping was thorough and responsible. The turndown service was excellent, and breakfast, which offered a semi-buffet along with à la carte choices, was quite good. Overall, it truly felt like a home away from home. Following a strong recommendation from friends, we booked the Mandarin Oriental Wangfujing. Our butler, Lina, provided incredibly professional service and thorough explanations, making us feel completely at home from the moment we checked in until our departure. The hotel's facilities, service, and location were all exceptional, making it incredibly convenient to get around! In the evening, we enjoyed drinks at MO Bar, and in the morning, enjoyed breakfast with a view of the Forbidden City – this truly embodies the unique charm of 'Old Beijing'. Of all the hotels we've stayed at in Beijing, none has come close to matching the experience offered by this Mandarin Oriental. We will definitely be staying at the Mandarin Oriental Wangfujing again on our next trip to Beijing.

Great location, very close to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City!
You feel comfortable and welcomed the moment you step into the hotel.
The front desk staff were all incredibly warm and friendly.
They arranged a superb room for us, and even gifted us a bottle of red wine!
The extra bed for our child was excellent too; our daughter even commented on how comfortable it was.
And the breakfast? Beyond excellent, no doubt about it!
Upon check-out, they asked if I was satisfied with my stay. I told them that if I ever return to Beijing, I would undoubtedly choose this hotel again – it truly offers peace of mind and a sense of security.
