"Staying at the Legendale Hotel Beijing felt less like a simple hotel stay and more like living inside a documentary about hospitality. It reminded me of the way Claridge’s in London is portrayed—not just about luxury, but about the people who truly care for their guests and turn small moments into lasting memories.
When I first arrived in China, I had no idea how to send a parcel—especially without a local phone number and ID. The floor manager, Jenny, kindly told me: “Just go to the concierge, they will help with everything.” And she was absolutely right. The concierge manager not only arranged the shipment, but personally supervised the courier while they packed my bottles of wine. What struck me most was how he cared even more than I did—checking every detail as if it were his own. In Australia, I could never imagine staff being so genuinely invested in a guest’s problem.
I also want to thank Jenny. Beyond her helpfulness, she was a joy to talk to—warm, funny, and sincere. Those conversations made me feel at home in a new country. It reminded me again of what I saw in Claridge’s: the true magic of a great hotel comes not from its marble halls, but from the kindness of its people.
And I cannot forget my floor cleaning attendant, Zhou Xiaodan. She was meticulous, always folding my clothes neatly even when I left them scattered. Every time I saw her, she greeted me with a genuine smile—not the polite, professional kind, but one that came straight from the heart. That smile gave me warmth that no other hotel has ever provided.
The Legendale gave me much more than a comfortable room and a prime location. It gave me a profound sense of human care. That is what makes this hotel unforgettable, and why I would sincerely recommend it to anyone visiting Beijing."

"The suite was large and clean but the heating didn’t work so they brought us a portable electric heater.
The lounge was not accessible during our stay and they didn’t warn us before booking the club room with lounge access. They offered to have the club lounge service (food and drinks) in the bar downstairs at the lobby entrance but it’s very uncomfortable because you are in the entry hall and gets very cold too
The pool and breakfast were splendid though!
Also there was no body milk in the room and we had to ask for body gel because it was already finished when we arrived to the room…"

"As a five star hotel, one still can tell there is a gap in service level compared to others. An example is when I asked the bellman to take luggages and help my parents to their room, he looked surprised/unexpected. Later, when I asked the same person about the direction to a restaurant, he simply told me he doesn’t know. It turned out that the restaurant is next door, 10 meters to the left after going out of the gate. I had a hard time believing the response I got and intentionally told the same person about whereabout of the restaurant after I came back to confirm my perception, and the facial response I got tells me he doesn’t care. This is a startling contrast to other 5 star hotels."

"Due to the high demand, the room wasn’t ready when I arrived at 2pm. The staff were too busy with many customers that did not take care of the customers emotion when there was no available room. Making the first impression and experience unpleasant. Staff also did not tell me where the breakfast dining was or tell me anything regarding the hotels services. The room is quite spacious, but the view was not ideal. Looking down you can see directly to a trash/waste disposal station!!"

"I've just spent couple of nights while transiting through China. It's a very clean and quiet hotel. It was absolutely fantastic to get to a full size swimming pool, followed by sauna, and steam room after 15 hrs flight. So reviving! Several minutes walking to Chongwenmen subway station. Walking distance to the Temple of Heaven and other central places.
Very friendly atmosphere. On may second day, I used laundry services. Everything was ready before I came back in the afternoon. I went to the buffet on the first floor - it was delicious! Wide selection of options - meats, fish, etc.
Definitely, recommend. 10 out of 10."

"Came here on a business trip and stayed for a few days. The experience was really great! The room was clean and tidy, the sheets and quilts were not wrinkled at all, the bathroom had no odor, and the toilet and shower area were bright. The staff Xiaoguan and Aili were very nice. They greeted each other warmly every time they met, and helped to solve any needs immediately. The breakfast was rich in variety, including soy milk and fried dough sticks, steamed buns and wontons, and freshly cooked noodles, which were very comfortable to eat. The location is also very convenient, with convenience stores and bus stops nearby. The price is affordable and the cost performance is super high. I will stay here again next time I come!"

EE3678****Absolutely fantastic! My family and I absolutely loved this hotel. It's very close to Qianmen Street but set back from the main road, offering a peaceful oasis amidst the hustle and bustle. As a traditional Siheyuan-style hotel, it's a beautiful sight in itself. Just strolling around the grounds is a delightful experience. Just a short walk away are Dashilar and Xian'er Hutong, making dining and entertainment very convenient. Tiananmen Square is also less than a 20-minute walk away. The room amenities are great too; the large bed was perfectly comfortable for our family of three. Overall, if you're looking to explore Qianmen Street and the nearby attractions around Tiananmen Square, this hotel is an excellent choice!

It wa surprising how nice the room was given the type of hotel it is. I would highly recommend for anyoen in a similar situation-perfect place to recharge after a long journey. i'm not sure I'd want to stay there for an extended stay but it's perfect for a quick stop. Most people arrivin gto Beijig by train from the west of China will arrive at Beijig West station and thi splace is literally a 5 minute walk from th enorth exit.

SShelley_xyThe room was spacious and very close to Happy Valley. We chose this hotel because we were traveling with children. I've stayed with this brand in many locations and usually have a good impression, but my experience in Beijing this time was quite disappointing.
The main issues were with the service. At check-in, our room was changed three times because the room types didn't match our booking. Then, the room wasn't even ready, and we were told we'd have to wait until the afternoon to check in. They promised to send our luggage to the room, and I specifically arranged with the front desk for extra bedding so our child could sleep on the sofa. I was also assigned parking space #90. We then headed out to explore Beijing.
However, when we arrived back at the hotel parking lot at 12:13 AM, the parking attendant wouldn't let me proceed. He claimed my car wasn't registered and my license plate wasn't linked to the reserved space #90. This whole ordeal took over half an hour. I was told I had to go back to the front desk to re-register before I could enter the garage, and even then, I was assigned a different parking spot.
Upon finally reaching our room, we discovered that only our luggage had been delivered; none of the promised extra bedding was there. Furthermore, despite booking for three people, the additional towels we requested were also missing. With no night-duty staff available, it took a considerable amount of time and effort to find blankets and sheets. By the time all these issues were finally resolved, it was already 1:30 AM. It was truly an unbearable experience.
Additionally, regarding the breakfast restaurant, could the temperature please be adjusted? It was uncomfortably hot.

Upon checking in at the front desk, the staff enthusiastically told me they'd given me a complimentary room upgrade. Talk about a stroke of luck! My impression of the place instantly shot through the roof! 💯
The location is absolutely superb! It's right on a main street, and the subway station is just around the corner from the entrance. Getting to all the attractions by subway is incredibly convenient 🚇. For someone like me who loves exploring, it couldn't be more perfect!
The room was spotless and cozily furnished. The bedding was incredibly soft and comfortable, making for a super restful sleep; all my fatigue from the day just melted away 😴. The bathroom fixtures were brand new, and the toiletries provided were of excellent quality. Every detail was meticulously considered!

AAnonymous UserI booked this hotel as it's very well located between the two airports and very well deserved by the tube in a very nice neighbourhood where you can truly see the everyday life of lovely Chinese people. Following the initial booking for a very nice room, there was an issue and tye management were so professional that they upgraded me for free to the executive suits which was absolutely stunning and beautiful and outstanding views of the whole city at the top floor. The room was spacious, and bathrooms were breathtaking. The management were very nice to me every time and even though they didn't speak English they were always trying to help. The hotel is located around many shops, restaurants and two Hugh malls located around changyiang metro which is direct to forbidden city and tianmen Square. I must admit that I stayed in the last few days but I ended up staying over 5 days because all the rooms are very large, with beautiful views and the breakfast is also very good. The overall impression is that Chinese management is always trying to help you. So, like me, if you are from Europe, do not book a Western brand and be courageous to book a Chinese hotel and experience their kindness and good hearth. I will give top grading to this hotel and will recommend it highly to all my European tourists.

SShahjada Imran KhanMy overall experience at the hotel was positive. The location is convenient and close to the metro, making it easy to get around. The room was decent for a solo traveler. I must highlight the outstanding service and hospitality of the two receptionists (02 girls); they were incredibly helpful in booking tickets for local attractions and were friendly, with a good understanding of English.
