I have stayed at UrCove in Shanghai, Shantou and Shenzhen and they were great and modern hotels, clean and comfortable. This one in Beijing was old, not very clean. The shower was rusty, the basement area where the gym and laundry was smelled like a sewer. I put the clean my room sign after my first night in the morning before going out and when I returned that night, my room still had not been cleaned. The housekeeper mentioned to my friend that there were too many rooms to clean and she did not have time. Overall, good location but not a very good hotel and definitely not at the same level as the other UrCove that I have stayed at.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at UrCove by Hyatt Beijing Forbidden City, and overall, it was a great experience. The hotel's location is fantastic—just a short distance from the Palace Museum and Tiananmen Square, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing.
The room was clean and comfortable, providing a nice space to unwind after exploring the city. One highlight of the stay was the complimentary warm porridge, which was excellent and a delightful touch. The rooftop platform offered amazing views, adding to the overall charm of the hotel.
While the complimentary items in the mini bar could use some improvement, this was a minor issue. We did encounter a small housekeeping matter where the shampoo and body wash were not replenished, but the staff quickly resolved it, showing their attentiveness to guest needs.
All in all, my stay was pleasant, and I would happily recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Beijing.

We stayed for 4 days at the hotel. The location is amazing, close to the forbidden city. There is a fantastic view from the terrace of the 8th floor as well.
That being said, the room was quite basic, and would benefit from renovation in my opinion, and felt pricey. Might try another place next time.

Hotel is located just a stone throw away from Wangfujing. Service is excellent however it will be perfect if the room soundproof can be enhanced. Clean and room is spacious for luggages

Perfect location for visiting historic city center and also closet to a great shopping street. Very clean rooms althoug in lower floors you can smell the kitchen. People are very kind and always willing to help. Faye is at the reception and gave me excellent attention.

When we arrived we were given a free coffee and checked in promptly. Location is amazing to be able to walk around central Beijing allowing you to see all the sights within a day. The view from the garden is amazing at night aswell.

A lovely hotel with amazing service people.
Our original booking is with one of the standard room but was upgraded to a better room when the hotel have more vacancy after the second national conference.
The first rooms we are assigned are very hot as it is centralised HEATING in the winter months with no cool air setting in that period. After we are upgraded to a windowed room, we simply turned off central heating and left the window open with a crack throughout the day.
Location was central to the palace and national museum as well as WangFuJing shopping street.
Only down side to the hotel is their daily breakfast. While the spread is reasonable, the taste and service during breakfast left much to be desired. I recommend skipping the hotel breakfast unless you are rushing for time
