We happened to be in Gubei during the extremely windy days. While Simatai was closed, the hotel's staff (Lin / Lynn) was very attentive and helped us a lot throughout the stay, such as recommending restaurants and scenic spots while keeping in touch if we need anything.

I stayed overnight at Beijing Wtown Resort and was very satisfied with my experience. The room was clean and looked new, the hospitality was excellent, and the breakfast was delicious and varied, offering both Western and Asian options. The staff was kind and helpful.
And I would especially like to thank Mr. Yin Yingdai for his outstanding assistance throughout our stay. From the moment we checked in, he provided us with his WeChat contact in case we needed any help. He assisted us in booking a hot spring visit and was incredibly attentive when one of our friends suffered a bruise after a fall in the Gu Bei scenic area—he even offered to call a doctor and arrange a late check-out if needed. On the day of our departure, he went the extra mile by helping us book a shuttle bus to the parking lot.
I will definitely return to Gu Bei Watertown in the future and will stay at Beijing Wtown Resort again!

Located inside WTown, just a short walk from hotel to old town and Great Wall. It’s a big hotel so expected some crowds and noises. Wall is a bit thin so you can hear people screaming and talking at corridors.

We had an excellent time at this hotel! The service was absolutely impeccable, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we knew what was going on and had a comfortable stay. The pool was unfortunately being fixed and refilled the night we arrived, so to compensate for this, they actually upgraded us to a much nicer suite with a lovely view of the town (something they did not have to do at all). The breakfast spread was also one of the most impressive we've seen in a long time - so much variety and everything was delicious (the noodle bar was a highlight). Also was able to swim the next morning in a sparkling clean pool. Truly had a great time here!

I recently stayed at a hotel near the Great Wall in Beijing and had an amazing experience. The remote location offered a peaceful and serene environment, perfect for relaxation. The shuttle bus service was incredibly convenient and made exploring the area so much easier. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy the beauty of the Great Wall in a tranquil setting!

I stayed at this hotel for one night during my trip to Gubei and the Simatai section of the Great Wall. I chose this hotel because it’s relatively large and offers great views. The room was spacious and impeccably clean, and the breakfast was impressively grand.
However, I encountered an issue with a neighboring guest smoking in their room, and the smell seeped into mine. I reported this to the hotel staff, but they were unable to resolve the problem.
Overall, while the hotel has many positive aspects, better enforcement of non-smoking policies would enhance the guest experience.

We absolutely love this place Celin and the staff are so helpful and friendly. The rooms are spacious, clean and quiet. The pools are clean and nice and warm. The breakfast is also great. There is so much to do in the town and of course the Simatai Section of the Great Wall is a must see.
