I recently had the pleasure of staying at Zhaohua Homestay, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. From the very beginning, the staff were incredibly friendly, professional, and helpful. They added us on WeChat a week prior to our arrival, where they promptly answered all our questions and even sent us detailed location information. This proactive communication made us feel welcomed and well-prepared for our stay. The homestay itself is just as beautiful as the pictures on their website. When we entered our room, we were immediately impressed by how cozy it felt. The temperature was perfectly set, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere, and the room smelled clean and fresh, which was a lovely touch. One of the highlights of our stay was the hot spring water—soothing and warm, which was exactly what we needed given the unexpected snowy weather. In the evening, they kindly offered us hot milk or soup to help us unwind, and in the morning, a delicious Western breakfast with fresh orange juice was delivered right to our door. It was such a thoughtful and special touch. An added bonus was the stunning view from the courtyard, where we could see the Great Wall! The homestay is within walking distance of a less crowded area of the Great Wall, where we paid just 35 RMB per person to experience it. It was beautiful and peaceful, offering the perfect opportunity to truly admire the historic site without the usual crowds. The location itself is perfect for a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The air is fresh, and at night, the stars are visible, adding to the tranquility of the area. It’s incredibly quiet, making it the ideal place to relax and recharge. Overall, I had an amazing experience at Zhaohua Homestay, and I would definitely visit again. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway with exceptional service, breathtaking views, and a beautiful setting, this place is an absolute gem.

It was a really great experience. The Great Wall is right there. Few minutes walking. The rooms are superior than expected and also the service and breakfast. It really worth it. Trust it. Don't look for other accomodation. Hot spring in the room. Amazing.

The scenery surrounding this place was absolutely breathtaking but I think what put the cherry on top of this beautiful place was how accommodating and friendly the staff were. I decided to celebrate my 30th birthday here and the staff were kind enough to give us a free room upgrade and greet us with mulled wine. Because of the impeccable service we received we will continue to be repeat visitors. Could not recommend this place enough if you're just looking to get out of the city for a bit of peace and tranquility. Thank you again for providing me with a memorable birthday! 😊🙏

Parking is very convenient, and it takes three minutes to walk to the entrance of the Water Gate Great Wall. The courtyard is very clean and quiet. You can see the Great Wall when you look up from the courtyard. It is very comfortable to take a bath before the sun sets. In the evening, the store thoughtfully prepared a grill and seasonings. I bought lamb skewers from Niujie myself, and the whole family was very happy while grilling and chatting. Afternoon tea was delivered on the day of check-in, which was a tiramisu cake and several fresh fruit slices, and three cups of passion fruit and lime drinks were also delivered, which tasted very good; three cups of milk were delivered before going to bed, and the milk tasted sweet; the breakfast the next day was very rich. The meals several times were very attentive, whether from the freshness of the ingredients to the presentation. I will definitely come again if I have the chance, and I will also recommend it to my friends.

I chose a homestay in Shifo Village, which is very good. It is very comfortable during the day and a little cold at night. I will come here when it is warmer next time and try the open-air hot spring. The cat is very cute and the children like to play with it. The room is very large and the toiletries are from Bulgari. It is very close to the Shuiguan Great Wall and you can climb it. Although it is not as famous as the Badaling Great Wall, there are fewer people and it feels very good to take pictures.

The experience was great! At the foot of the Great Wall. The room was quite large. You could see the Great Wall from the sun room. Each room had a separate courtyard with good privacy. It was very quiet. Room requests were delivered directly to the room. There was breakfast, afternoon tea, and milk before bed. The service was cordial and friendly. I would come again if I had the chance.

Service: Before checking in, the lady contacted me and sent me the location and information about the surrounding areas of the homestay. After we arrived at the homestay at night, the lady came out to greet us. We could also choose red wine or milk before going to bed. The lady delivered it to our room 😌 (the milk was delicious) All the staff were very nice 🥹 Including the stray kittens who came to the homestay 🐈 The lady also delivered breakfast to our room the next day, and the ingredients and utensils for afternoon tea and tea around the stove were delivered to our room. Thank you very much! The meals were also very delicious, and it was like home. Our room is Jiahui, a single-family courtyard, where you can see the Great Wall, there is a private bath in the yard, the room is large and clean, with floor heating and tatami, I like it very much 💕 The coolness in Yanqing in March is still very strong. It is very enjoyable to soak in the hot private bath at night, watching the stars and the moon while soaking and drinking soda. If it were Li Bai, he would probably write several poems.

The whale is curved and has a long head and tail! Lying on the bed, you can see the Great Wall with the curtains open. In the afternoon, the store also sent tea around the stove. It was very comfortable to drink tea and chat in the yard. The room was clean and tidy with complete facilities. In the evening, I strolled to the restaurant next door to have a meal. Perfect!

The famous inn is in a village next to the Shuiguan Great Wall. This village has basically been converted into a homestay. Compared with other homestays, Zhaohua has the most characteristics. The geographical location is just right. The courtyard design and decoration are unique. The environment is good and there is a fireplace. It’s a pity that firewood is not allowed during the two sessions. It’s a bit regrettable, otherwise it would be warmer when soaking in the hot spring outside. The hotel service is very good, the afternoon tea is very rich, and 2 cups of hot milk are delivered before going to bed at night. It’s very good, point 👍. I like the observation deck on the roof the most. You can have a bird’s eye view of the whole village. It’s easier to take pictures when flying a drone. The shortcoming is that the door frame design is not very good, and it is not easy to close the door. I hope it can be repaired.

The room is warmly decorated, the bedding is super comfortable, and I slept soundly. The boss is warm and thoughtful, and also recommended great local food (there is a non-legacy braised pig face nearby that is delicious). The location is also very convenient, and the surrounding attractions and restaurants are very close. The housekeeper also brought hot milk in the evening, which is very considerate. I will come again next time!

The housekeeper was very considerate. After arriving in the afternoon, we were served afternoon tea, and a hot breakfast was served the next morning. It was so comfortable to take a hot spring bath outside on a cold day. I plan to bring my kids here to try it next time.
