The staff is very friendly. The hot spring is the source of the Oniyama Hot Spring. There are two open-air hot springs, both of which are spacious. I checked in late and happened to run into a musical performance. The environment is very good. It is within walking distance of several hells. I am also satisfied with the breakfast and dinner. I will stay here again next time

We booked this, and the sister hotel under the same organization (步步庵） for my family and my parents. Both were super nice but we think this one is nicer. Comes with private onsen inside the room, with a proper mattress. Apartment style with modern design. We love this room so much. Would definitely come back! Comes with free parking.

I recently stayed at a hotel booked through Trip.com, and while the location, cleanliness, and facilities were quite nice, I had a very disappointing experience with the service provided by the hotel staff. When I booked the hotel, the description on Trip.com (in Korean) clearly indicated that the room would have two beds and two floor beds. However, upon arrival, we found that the room only had two beds and one floor bed. When I brought this discrepancy to the attention of the hotel staff, they informed me that we would need to pay extra for an additional floor bed. They explained that the description in the itinerary merely indicated the maximum capacity of the room and that, since we had booked meals for only three people (breakfast and dinner), we could not receive an extra floor bed at no charge. I opted for the three-person meal plan because one of my family members is a five-year-old child who does not eat much, and I wanted to avoid unnecessary food waste. I understand that interpretations of the itinerary may vary, but the attitude of the hotel staff was unacceptable. During my communication with them, I was put on hold for five minutes, only to be told that there was nothing they could do. After urging them to adhere to the terms of the itinerary, I was placed on hold again for ten minutes. Unfortunately, I had to hang up as it was time for dinner, and the hotel did not follow up with any response after I returned. This experience significantly affected my family's mood, and what was supposed to be a pleasant stay turned into a frustrating ordeal. I hope that Trip.com can address this issue to prevent future guests from having similar experiences.

Great experience overall! Room - clean and large, very new. Service - guest experience agent in concierge is awesome! I really appreciate the service Ami provided. The restaurant recommendations/ books have been very smooth. English communication is also great! Hassin sushi (八新壽司） is a must go omakase sushi place while typpenyaki place recommended also provided excellent quality wagyu beef. We also tried western style breakfast recommended (莊園小町） Super nice too! Onsen - very new with splendid view. Just some business visitors from south east Asia who are not familiar with onsen rules were very noisy. Food - breakfast is quite nice - suggest trying it outside. Location - needs to driver around 10-20 mins to the restaurants in the city but overall all ok Free valet parking is good. Overall excellent experience!

The hotel is very good, room is clean and tidy, individual onsen is excellent. The only point is the location will be a little bit far for travellers without cars, as hotel is on a hill slope, you will need to spend some efforts to go up, but the hotel quality worths this effort.

Staying in a traditional Japanese house and ryokan. Kaiseki food I liked everything. The facilities were connected to the main building (2nd floor) and the new building 1st floor A small open-air bath (2~3 people) 1 male and 1 female/Indoor bath is in operation, but I didn't use the indoor bath so I don't know, and the open-air bath was very small, but there was no lack of things to enjoy the open-air bath, and I stayed on the 2nd floor of the main building, and the stairs were steep, so it was not inconvenient except for moving a large suitcase. There were 2 small hell hot spring tourist attractions within 10~10 minutes' walk, so I was able to tour them (I had to go up a little hill). There were 2 free foot baths right around the accommodation and very cheap paid foot baths. I visited the accommodation using a rental car. Parking was available, and there was a bus terminal 5 minutes away, so I could go without a rental car or a pick-up service. Kaiseki cuisine was very attentive, with raw fish, sushi, steamed food, small soup, and dessert. Breakfast was also very clean and delicious. Since the food was served in the room, I was able to eat individually, which was convenient. However, since it was an old house, there were traces of time here and there, and water flowed on the toilet floor, but it was not a problem to use. It was a little more simple and not fancy than the Yufuin area, but it was enough to enjoy a Japanese-style accommodation at a good price.

A very good hot spring hotel, located on a hillside 2-3 minutes walk from Beppu Kawaguchiko Station. There are various Japanese-style rooms with private baths. The hotel environment is quiet and comfortable, the rooms are very clean and tidy, and the facilities are advanced. Dinner can be ordered, but breakfast is not provided. For breakfast, you can go to the 711 across the street to buy food. The hotel staff is very serious in reception and also communicates with a translator. The stay experience is very good.

Yes, I think I recommend staying here in Beppu. I will come again next time. The room is clean and comfortable. It feels very good to live. I recommend it to friends who want to come here to play.
