The two days we were there, all 24 of us bikers on a Pyrenees trip organised by a tour company for bikers, the hotel was first class. The hotel was overlooked by the village of Huesca, Bierge which is worth a visit. The church is l locked though. The pool was available to us but was cold in May, although it was refreshing to us British because we are used to cold seas around us! The food was brilliant, although in this instant with several appetisers, it was OTT, unlike the previous hotel. The staff were brilliant and the owner was a real deal of a person, treating all her guests like royalty. She gave us all olive oil produced by them. Our bikes were under cover of a shelter for the stay. Every thing was a treat here, a real good stay, also the rooms were great.

This is a family owned and run three star hotel in the almost unknown – to the British at least region of the Sierra de Gaura. It is a stunning area where the patchwork fields of the Somontano meet the 2000m peaks of the pre Pyrenees. Driving is a pleasure ( on one journey of 40kms we saw just 10 cars!) and there are plenty of walks and cycling opportunities. For the birders, most of the nearby sites and target species are within a few kms of the hotel (where species such as hawfinch, tree sparrow and spotless starling were present in the garden and excellent wallcreeper sightings very nearby- please “ask me a question” if you would like to know more about the birding) . The Hosteria is well placed as a base for exploring the region but is also a pleasure in its own right, surrounded by fields and with views to the nearby village of Birge Rooms are comfortably furnished (excellent beds, high quality bed linen) and both breakfast and dinner are extremely well executed improvements on the typical Spanish hostal. Dinner in particular is good value at €25 (including wine and 3 courses) and included such memorable dishes as parmentier with local truffle and a yogurt mousse with red berry sauce. There is a pool for use in the summer. All in all – a real delight.

Un magnífico hotel en las afueras de Bierge, donde disfrutar de un merecido descanso y de una excelente gastronomía, tanto en el bar como en el restuarante. Habitaciones amplias y muy confortables. Servicio atento y muy amable.

Un excelente descubrimiento en medio de la Sierra de Guara, en el pueblo de Bierge. Hotel familiar, muy limpio y acogedor. Decorado con mucho gusto y habitaciones amplias. El restaurante, la comida espectacular, con buenas raciones y producto fresquísimo de la zona. El personal muy atento y la propietaria Eva un encanto. Repetiremos seguro. Recomendable 100%.

Precioso hotel y perfecto para desconectar y relaj****. Un oasis para cargar las pilas … y se come muy bien. Personal muy agradable y eficiente. Toda una sorpresa, y ya la hemos incluido en nuestra lista para próximas salidas. Mila esker. Eva!

Después de un cuarto de hora de paseo de camareros por delante de la mesa sin hacernos ningún caso, optamos por elevar un pelin la voz y solicitar al menos una carta. La verdad, una vez entregada la carta no tardaron en tomarnos nota. Los primeros tardaron otro cuarto de hora y aún esperábamos la botella de vino que habíamos pedido. Acababa el primer plato y nos levantsmos para ir a la puerta de la cocina y solicitar de nuevo la botella. Nos la trajeron, pero claro entonces no habia copas. El vino podía estar a unos 25° y la botella venía descorchada, lo que da que pensar. En cuanto a la comida, eso ya va al gusto de cada uno. Para mi gusto el ceviche sabía muchísimo a cilantro (nunca había tomado un ceviche con cilantro), y el lomo de atún no venía sellado sino hecho a conciencia, muy seco . El asado de cordero, excelente. Conscientes de la falta de servicio, tuvieron la enorme generosidad de ofrecernos un orujo de hierbas. Nada, una mala experiencia irrepetible.

Un hotel familiar donde el trato es excelente, no me gusta poner recomendaciones pero estas a 15 min de Alquezar, la ayuda de recepción en decidir sitios don de ir, cosas que hacer, vamos todo excelente.....de echo estoy escribiendo y nos quedan 2 días de estar, magnífica eleccion

Excellent point de chute pour visiter la Sierra de Guara. BIerge est située à l'embranchement des routes pour aller soit à Rodellar, soit à Alquezar. L'hôtel est extrêmement confortable, accueillant et apaisant... Personnel très attentionné et très agréable, cuisine excellente du petit déjeuner au dîner, chambres spacieuses et très propres et en plus, la piscine n'attendait que nous ! N'hésitez pas, c'est là qu'il faut réserver !
