This is an attractive old house in a straggly village a short distance from Bath. Our twin room was nicely decorated and very comfortable. The shower room was quite small; one night water pressure was low, but it was generally quite luxurious. We were at the front overlooking the main (A4) road, which was not ideal, but the road is less busy than might be expected as most traffic goes on the M4. Breakfast was delicious, with a good choice of cooked dishes. Proximity to Bath is the main thing here, we travelled by bus (frequent service). The stop for the ride towards Bath is a short walk on the other side of the road. Coming back it is important to ask for the "Basset" stop, and then walk back to the house. Finding a place to eat in the evening was difficult, as many places are closed at the beginning of the week. We found it better to eat in Bath. Friendly, helpful people, with good knowledge of Bath and other places to visit.

Comfortable stay in tidy rooms and the use of a lovely lounge area. Breakfast was so tasty and fulfilled everyone’s tastes. Only issue was that the showers had little water pressure

Excellent stay, lovely rooms, really good breakfast and great hosts. Bed was very comfortable and the room had pretty much everything you needed. The bathroom was spacious and clean, with a good choice of toiletries. Good location, parking on the premises and quiet part of Box, got a good night sleep on both nights I stayed. I would 100% return.

We had a lovely one night stay in room 4, the room was clean and tidy, with all the necessities that you require. We preordered our breakfast, I had porridge and my partner went for a full Wiltshire. Breakfast was lovely and freshly cooked. We will be booking again for the next time we visit the area in November. Very friendly host and excellent location for visiting Bath or Chippenham. Thank you.

We stayed at Lorne House as a group of 18 for my sister's hen do and we had a brilliant weekend. Beforehand, both Bob and Liz were so responsive and helpful, answering all my questions and sending over lots of information, helping us to plan the perfect weekend for my sister. The house itself is absolutely beautiful and all the bedrooms were perfectly set up and really comfortable - a lot of the group kept commenting on how comfy the beds were! We spent a lot of the weekend at the house (the heavy rain scuppered our plans for a walk!) and the living spaces (kitchen, sitting room, dining room and balcony) were perfect for such a big group. We were able to host a wine tasting and cater for 2 dinners all within the house without feeling like we were cramped in. All in all it was a wonderful weekend and I would highly recommend Lorne House as a venue for a weekend in the Cotswolds.

Very welcoming and beautiful b&b. Only stayed one night, but would happily return. We had the superior room which was lovely, modern bathroom with bath and walk in shower. Huge comfy bed, pillows and duvet so soft, had a great nights sleep. It was so nice and toasty in there we had to turn the heating down, was the warmest I’ve been all winter so far. Bob recommend the local Indian for dinner, which didn’t disappoint, and there was a local pub both within a short walking distance, but not a lot else nearby, which was fine for us! Breakfast had to be pre ordered which again was great, this meant it was ready when we went down in the morning and was hot and fresh. All tasted amazing, and lots to choose from. Doorways were a bit short for my partner being 6’5” but that’s to be expected in an old house, and we had a good chuckle about it. All spotlessly clean, lots of handy info in the welcome book, but Bob was happy to answer any questions, (the attachment on email kept trying to open in Zoom for some reason ) It was also beautifully decorated for Christmas, felt very festive and cosy. Really happy with our stay :-) Side note: Lots of beautiful scenery nearby, we visited Lacock Abbey, which again was decorated for the season. Lovely village to look round, with quirky shops and cosy pubs.

This is a Very friendly, clean an charming B&B, with an eye for the most important thing, namely the details. Wonderful homemade breakfast, by the way. We stayed here for 3 days in June 2023, and there is absolutely no reason, not to come back, should our travelling take us to this wonderful and charming part of England in the future. 🥰
