Lovely village pub! We visited twice during our stay in Bradwell. Staff made us extremely welcome with toys for the children and biscuits for the dog! Traditional home cooked pub food which was delicious. Clean plates all round. Friendly welcoming atmosphere! We will be back to stay to explore of the Peak District. Great local find!

What an absolute little Gem, Recent owners Richard and Samantha and barman Rob were a delight, proper genuinely friendly people, The pub is a delight, if I lived within walking distance it would definitely be my local and I lay claim to the "high stool" at the end of the bar henceforth :-) Our Sunday Lunch was as good as any we have ever had, the accommodation was above and beyond, I really do hope this happy band have a very bright and successful future at Ye Olde Bowling Green, they so certainly deserve it.

We stayed in the carpark in our campervan after ringing to ask if this was ok. We arrived and went into the pub for a meal and a couple of drinks. What a lovely welcoming pub. The meals were beautiful and nicely presented and good value for money. The landlady couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. They do have rooms available so would definitely recommend a stay here. Lovely village and nice walks.

Poor experience overall. Food was basic and hardly worth the money, asked for added onions and didn’t come with my burger. Staff were poor, took forever to come over and even ask us what we wanted and waited too long in between meals as well. Would not rate this place for food! Standards poor.

I contacted Samantha to ask about the possibility of hosting us for the night, a Family of 8, two motorhomes and a double room. From first contact Samantha and her team couldn't have been more helpful. She kindly booked us all in and saved us a few quid by not having to go through booking sites. In all honesty I wasn't expecting a lot when I saw the food menu, it was simple pub grub and very reasonably priced, the quality and portions we received were excellent. They even managed to squeeze us all in for breakfast the next morning, which again was way above expectations, fantastic quality and with lovely views. Nothing was too much trouble and I couldn't thank them enough. The beers were pretty good too :)

Excellent Sunday lunch in a wonderful environment. We were a party of adults and children and we all felt very welcome. The food and service was exceptional. We had clean plates all round and good value for money. Loved the Lemon Cheesecake! We will definitely be back soon!

We are locals in the village, so very often we pop in, even if just for drinks. We love what Samatha and Richard have done with the bowling Green, always made to feel extremely welcome, we have had a few meals here now, and each and everyone as been absolutely delicious, the Sunday roast is perfect in every way, you really cannot fault it . So nice to have a lovely couple who take pride in the pub. The pub is lovely ,clean and cozy with the fires.

Lovely Pub with rooms. Very hearty food. Lovely owners. Make you feel extremely welcome. Gorgeous views. Would definitely recommend. Lovely fires in the pub. Lovely breakfast. Very accommodating re check in and check out. Great spot to stay overnight to explore the local and surrounding area

We visited the pub this weekend and had a lovely stay, Samantha and Richard were so warm, welcoming and friendly, excellent hosts. The inn is beautiful, roaring log fires, character and delicious food, locally sourced and homemade, the homemade onion rings are a must have bar snack or addition to your hot roast sandwiches. Excellent selection for vegans, vegetarians and gluten free customers too. The overnight accommodation is beautifully decorated and coupled with the peak district air, we had the best night sleep we have had in ages. Didn't want to leave and can't wait to go back.
