My three days at Xilamuren Star Campsite were honestly one of the highlights of my trip. Jiaohongjun, the owner, was incredibly welcoming and made me feel at home from the moment I gor into the car with him. He also took the time to show me around the grasslands and answer all my questions along the way. The yurt was clean, very comfortable and in prestine condition. I really enjoyed my stay, the time we spend together and your hospitality. I would happily come back again!

The Xilamuren Grassland has entered the off-season during November, and there are very few tourists. It is a wrong choice to book a room in advance, because many people will come out to stop guests when they arrive in the town, and ask if you need to stay in a hotel. We booked room 236 online. , If you look for a room wherever you go that night, you will get a pack of 100. The gap is a bit big. In addition, I suggest you go to town for dinner. It’s not that this restaurant is not delicious, but it’s really to shop around. We ordered a lamb chop, an egg and tomato soup, and the final checkout was 500, which was a bit too expensive.

All resorts are remote from Hohhot, so we took a Didi from Hohhot to the resort. It took 1:50 hours. They resort itself is really nice. The yurts are comfortable and clean. There are plenty of activities that you can do around the resort. Just talk to the service people. We did horse riding, go car, saw a Mongolian show and every evening there is a fire show at the resort. A worker drove us to the activities. The food at the restaurant was a bit pricey but high quality.

The facilities are excellent, the price is great, the air is exceptionally fresh, and the environment is lovely—perfect for families with young children and those under a lot of work pressure! Horseback riding and archery are a lot of fun, especially for families with children; you should definitely try them! The evenings won't be boring either! The resort has bonfire parties where friends from all over the world can gather and enjoy themselves, letting go of the day's fatigue.

The environment here is beautiful, the air is fresh, and visiting the grasslands is indeed a great choice. The yurts here appear to be the largest in the area. There are many tourists, and the service is excellent. The ethnic characteristics are quite good; the yurts are beautifully decorated, and the various entertainment options are very interesting. I'll definitely come back to experience the grasslands again next time.
