Located in Cairo (Downtown Cairo), Yacoubian Hotels is within a 15-minute walk of Tahrir Square and Egyptian Museum. This hotel is 9.7 mi (15.7 km) from Giza Pyramid Complex and 10 mi (16.1 km) from Pyramid of Khufu. This hotel offers designated smoking areas. Make yourself at home in one of the 5 air-conditioned rooms featuring minibars and LED televisions. Complimentary wireless internet access is available to keep you connected. Private bathrooms with showers feature complimentary toiletries and bidets.

"This area feels like Ginza in Japan, but it's incredibly affordable. It's easy to access key city attractions, and right in front of the hotel, there are plenty of souvenir options. The room is simple and doesn't offer much in terms of amenities. The lack of glasses and a hairdryer might be an issue for some."

The St. Regis New Capital, Cairo

9.2/10
Great

I needed to stay here for a business trip. The good points are the consistently high quality of the St. Regis rooms, the abundant breakfast, and I loved the swimming pool. The downside is the location. The new capital city is so new; the nearest shopping mall is a 30-minute drive away, and because it's so new, even ride-hailing services are hard to find. The hotel only has two restaurants.

This Marriott hotel is located in Cairo Airport's Terminal 3, which is incredibly convenient. It's only a five-minute walk from the hotel to the airport via a dedicated elevator and skywalk. We arrived much earlier than our check-in time, but they were able to accommodate us without any extra charge. The staff in the lobby were all very friendly and helpful, and they even had Chinese-speaking staff available!

My stay began with an extremely disappointing and humiliating experience at the front desk—one that was serious enough for me to consider cancelling my reservation and leaving the hotel altogether. Fortunately, the outstanding professionalism and leadership of the management team completely transformed my experience. I would like to express my deepest appreciation to Mr. Ayman Hossam, whose exceptional handling of the situation demonstrated genuine care, respect, and a remarkable commitment to guest satisfaction. His personal attention, empathy, and decisive actions not only resolved the issue but also restored my confidence and made me feel truly valued as a guest. I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to Mr. Nour, the Night Duty Manager, and Mr. Hannawy, the Night Shift Manager, whose support, professionalism, and dedication played an essential role in turning what could have been a ruined stay into a genuinely enjoyable one. Their teamwork, calm approach, and willingness to go above and beyond reflected the high standards of hospitality that I have always associated with Marriott. As a Marriott Gold member, I was genuinely surprised that such an unfortunate incident could occur in the first place. However, I was equally impressed by the way the management team took ownership of the situation and worked tirelessly to make things right. Their efforts not only salvaged my holiday but also reaffirmed my trust in the Marriott brand. Please extend my sincere gratitude and recognition to Mr. Ayman Hossam, Mr. Nour, and Mr. Hannawy. Their dedication, professionalism, and genuine hospitality deserve the highest praise. Thank you, Marriott, for continuing to value guest feedback and for having leaders who truly understand the meaning of exceptional customer care.

The room had an access to the pool directly which is nice. Only bad thing was people smoke all over the hotel making it so unpleasant. Everywhere in the world, people are not allowed to smoke inside hotels. So clearly not for people who have wheezing or asthma. Management should seriously look into this. Other than that all staff were very nice. Ashraqqat and also bfast staff are all very nice. Excellent bfast.

Don't go in winter if there's no heating; it was 10 degrees outside and 15 degrees inside. During my two-day stay, the first day the warm water was around 40 degrees. On the second day, after I kept urging them, they finally fixed it to just warm enough, but still not hot water. The decor looks like it's 15 years old. I came here because it said it opened in 2019. The service was indeed good, so I can't give a bad review for that. However, I spent two and a half hours over two days waiting for repairs and service. In summary, it's a five-star hotel with three-and-a-half-star facilities.

Everything was excellent, and thank you, Concorde Hotel, for allowing us an early check-in and a very late check-out. The hotel was secure, and they upgraded us to a renovated room! 😍♥️ I will definitely visit again, God willing.

First room smelled like cigarettes despite picking no smoking. Second room was an upgrade but it was actually the upgrade I originally paid for. My first room was a downgrade.

City Hostel

In general, it is not bad for me to stay in a single room with a common bathroom for 10 nights. Above all, I would like to express my gratitude to the staff's efforts to manage the City Hostel clean which is too old and out fashioned building. * Location & Transportation Without noise, it is the best location to stay. It is located at 2 2-minute walk distance from Attaba subway station that connects to the Ramsis Railway Station and the Egypt Museum, only 1~3 stops away, charging 6 EGP per way. Of course, you can go to both by walk in 20 minutes. It means you can also enjoy the Nile riverside which is close to the museum. And it is a 2-minute walk distance from the Attaba market which is the biggest public market in Cairo and so many locals visit to buy their livelihoods stuff at a cheap price. In addition, you can also walk to the Al Azhar Mosque and Khan El-Khalili traditional market in 30 minutes, and St. Marc Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in AL Azbakeya in 10 minutes Two problems I experienced are firstly the noi⁹sy from 8 am to 3 am outside the building due to market area and cars' horns. It took 3 days for me to adapt it. Any room in the hostel cannot escape it without changing the windows to soundproof ones. If you are sensitive to sound, it is better to find other lodges in a residential area or modernized ones. Secondly, its location on the Uber taxi map and other maps is not accurate, so drivers have some problems in finding the city hostel. I have to meet them in front of the KFC next to the Attaba subway station. The signboard of the hotel is too small to recognize it. * Building and room conditions Like many other buildings in Cairo, the hostel building is old and shabby. The interior design and facilities are also outdated. However, the staff manages it so clean, particularly a common toilet and shower room. It is quite convenient a washstand in each room. However, it is bad there is no electronic kettle to boil water in a room or a common space. I could not enjoy my tea or coffee time at any time. I have to ask for hot drink water every morning when receiving breakfast, and store it in my tumbler. It will be better to provide a tea or coffee service area in the hostel. * Cleanness & Safety Cleanness and safety are very good. I have no issue with this. * Services There is no basic service that most guesthouses provide in general: toilet paper and drink water. Wifi is too weak to use the internet. Other services like laundry are satisfied. * Others During my stay, I couldn't enjoy having an exchange time with other travelers. I think it is because there is no reason to stay in a common space where only sofas and a table are. Largely guesthouse provides a commonplace where guests enjoy better the internet or drinks including tea or coffee and foods, which makes guests meet each other naturally and structurally. In conclusion, if the hostel provides basic services like toilet paper and commonplace with drink water and electronic kettles, it will be much better. And it is necessary to change its signboard so that is more recognizable. Except issues I mentioned above, it is a very good budget lodge.

To catch an early flight, I chose this hotel for my last night, and it turned out to be the worst memory of my entire trip to Egypt! The room was tiny, the facilities were poor, and the front desk staff was extremely rude during check-in. They gave me a room with a broken air conditioner. The first time I reported it, the staff insisted I hadn't inserted the power card properly. I told him it wasn't the card, the AC was simply broken. He told me to go back to my room and wait, saying he'd send a colleague to check. After a long wait, no one showed up, and the room was sweltering. So I went back to him and saw him smiling and serving other foreigners (he certainly didn't treat us that way). I was furious! In front of all the guests in the lobby, I loudly confronted him and demanded he immediately follow me to experience how hot the room was. Everyone in the hotel was watching us. He realized I wasn't to be messed with and finally helped resolve the issue. So, my friends, don't book this hotel, and remember to be assertive when you encounter similar problems abroad!!!!

The staff of this hotel was not good, At about 8 PM in the evening, the hotel front desk staff called the room and said that the hotel we booked only allows one person to stay. If two people stay, they need to add an additional fee of 70 US dollars. Very unlogic, so I leave my friend and I booked another hotel.but the facilities and environment is good .only their service is bad
