Asahikawa Hotels with Breakfast

I 1st came to Hokkaido in 20th July 2019 and i stayed at JR Inn Asahikawa. This time i selected the same hotel again. Service is good, i told them abt my previous visit and wld like to stay in that room again. They were so nice to help arranged for the room when it was available on my 3rd night. Kudos to the team for trying! The wonderful thing about staying here is even when you have checked out, when the train is delayed/postponed you can easily walked back to the hotel and explain to the staff and sit at the lounge waiting for your next train.

Right by Asahikawa JR Station, just across the road. The street downstairs is full of restaurants, super convenient. A taxi to Asahikawa Airport is about 5000 yen. The hotel gets really busy during peak hours, and the elevators can be very slow, stopping on every floor. You can skip the breakfast; it's not very good, and there's not much to eat. It costs 2200 yen if you buy it separately. You're better off finding a coffee shop downstairs or grabbing something from a convenience store instead.

Our family really enjoyed our stay, though the bed was a bit small. The breakfast was plentiful and varied. They offered ice cream and probiotic drinks daily, plus free ramen in the evenings. The hotel genuinely cares about its guests with such thoughtful services. The natural hot spring was also very relaxing; we could enjoy the falling snow on our faces while soaking in the courtyard. We'll definitely stay here again next time.

We chose this ryokan for its proximity to Asahikawa Zoo. With a rental car, its location was convenient. The room featured traditional tatami mats and futons for our family of four. The highlight was the in-house ‘onsen’ bath, which we enjoyed without any additional fees. The attentive staff surprised us by clearing the snow off our car after a heavy snowstorm. Senshoen gets my highest recommendation for its service, comfort, and lovely garden.

It's about a 15-minute walk from JR, which was a bit tiring with luggage. Luckily, it wasn't raining or snowing. I'd recommend taking a taxi if you have a lot of luggage or people, it'll save you time and effort. The room was quite spacious, with plenty of room to open two 30-inch suitcases. There's a sauna upstairs, but we heard it was a bit stuffy, so we didn't try it. The service was pretty good, and breakfast was decent too.

The room was incredibly small, uncomfortably so. The Ctrip interface stated that breakfast was free for children aged six and under, but upon check-in, the staff tried to charge us 900 yen for our six-year-old's breakfast. We had to argue with them to get it waived. This wasn't a great experience. Additionally, the room didn't have bottled water, and when we asked the front desk, they first asked for our room number and then told us there was direct drinking water in the room... Overall, it was a very poor experience. Aside from the breakfast, which was a bit pricey, it was actually quite good.

Hotel Crescent is one of my favorite hotels in Japan. Very professional and nice staff, even the cleaning people make an effort to manage their noise if they know someone is still sleeping in a room, which is above and beyond. The staff at Crescent kept my luggage for a long time when my return trip got delayed which was a huge relief. The lobby gives such a unique atmosphere, it's at once august and stately, like one of the grand art deco hotels of the past era, but it also has a fun little gift shop area and a cafe, so it feels relaxed. Crescent is just a really friendly place where you don't have to worry about anything. Their website explains their ”Kaizen” philosophy, which now is a famous Japanese management philosophy of continuous improvement in each area. It really shows at this hotel. This is the kind of hotel you end up becoming a better person because the staff is so professional and kind. Thank you for a great stay and for being one of my favorite places in Japan :)

This is a traditional, family-run inn that truly excels in hospitality and personal charm. I booked a room with a private bath; it was exceptionally spacious at nearly 40 square meters, and we had the entire floor to ourselves. Our private bath was conveniently located directly on the rooftop, situated at the highest point of the small hill, offering an amazing soaking experience. The family operates their own restaurant, and both breakfast and dinner were delightful. This was our children's favorite hotel of the entire trip, providing fantastic value for money. They even have a nostalgic 90s-era arcade! It's definitely a top choice for travelers on a self-drive trip. The owner and staff were incredibly warm, enthusiastic, and kind. A huge thank you once again for their wonderful hospitality!

Great value for money with plenty of charging ports, but you can't control the air conditioning yourself.

The room was very spacious. The hotel was nice and clean. The breakfast was delicious.
