"The location is the hotel is great as it’s next to AEON mall and Asahikawa JR Station. We drove and there were two locations we could park at (note that hotel does not cover parking). It is a 3-5min walk to Asahikawa JR station and i could go over to get train tickets really easily before heading back to the hotel for breakfast.
The breakfast was amazing and there were vegetarian food options like salad, bread and some veggies. There was even coffee available for takeaway. There was also fresh seafood don that you can assemble yourself.
The room itself was basic. It was clean but a little dusty. There wasn’t a lot of walking space, not to mention 2 large suitcases. We constantly had to squeeze and sidestep when walking from washroom to desk to bed.
Our room tv couldn’t access youtube for some reason but could still access some tv channels.
Overall would still recommend as the location and breakfast was really good. If you are just going back to hotel to sleep then this hotel is a good choice."

"Great experience! It's about a 6-7 minute walk from the station, and there's a convenience store downstairs. The rooms and facilities are relatively new, and the onsen (hot spring) is quite spacious. Breakfast was delicious. There's also a humidifier provided in the room.
The only minor downside is that the last entry for breakfast is 9 AM, so I ended up wasting my breakfast voucher on the first day 😂"

"We stayed for 4 nights during July and it was a great experience. Paid parking JPY payable upon check in, parking is Aeon Parking and best to drive straight till you park under the bridge. That is the best/closest entry to the hotel. Aeon is right there and hotel lift will get you there without stepping outdoors, great for snowy/rainy weather. You need to get a new parking ticket (QR code) from the front desk everyday to get out, and use it at the payment machine.
The room is clean, the bed is comfortable, and the water pressure is good. The toilet has lots of functions and auto flush for you.
They had a public bath and special mention to the outdoor bath, it stayed nice and hot.
Overall a really great hotel, cannot beat the location, and interconnected to a shopping centre and JR train station."

"Y’s hotel is an excellent stay in Asahikawa if you’re arriving at the Asahikawa airport and starting your road trip. Right outside the hotel is the main Asahikawa station and the airport transfer bus is just right at the door step. No rush in catching the bus for your plane. Just across the street is the car rental which you can easily pick up/return your rented car.
Hotel also has a very nice Onsen facility that you can enjoy all through the night while waiting for your laundry in the coin laundromat."

"Thanks for allocating a high-floor room with a great view; it was helpful to see if it was raining. The room was quite spacious, though the bathroom felt a bit narrow. My room clearly looked renovated and was comfortable; I liked having a window. The location is super convenient, with many shops nearby. The staff were friendly. Definitely worth recommending. "We decided on visiting Asahikawa last minute and Art Hotel was the only one that truly fitted what we looked for, the pleasant surprise was how they upgraded our room probably because we did a last minute booking and they gave us the triple room instead so we ended up with a pleasant surprise of extra space to pack our luggage’s!
The hotel is super clean and also a convenient stop point to visit outskirts as we stayed in Asahikawa but visited mountains, waterfalls & more!
Parking is a little complicated, it is 2 buildings away and under times, not a big issue as u just need to cross the road to get to it, simply pay 1000 Yen a day, they will stamp your carpark ticket everytime you enter and exit. The only troublesome part would be the loading and unloading of luggage otherwise it wasn’t much of an issue for us.
The city itself has nothing much but the hotel’s restaurant of western mix Chinese modern dining was really good! It is good enough to laze around the hotel & have your meals settled after a long trip.
We would definitely be back for sure!"

"The service and amenities at Dormy Asahikawa is good. The only gripe i have is the location, over the 2 days in in Asahikawa, it was raining and because Dormy Asahikawa is not exactly near to the station (abt 10 to 15mins walk dependingon traffic lights) with a backpack, 28” luggage wheeling, heavier drizzle (rain) and no shelter after The station's stretch of walkway, i got to the hotel drenched. The comfort is the hot spring and the 930pm Ramen. The service from their staff is good. Dormy inn standard doesn't fail."

Guest UserIt is an apartment with 2 floors. One double bed bedroom and a bathroom with shower are on the first floor. On the second floor, there is another double bed bedroom with a sofa bed, living room, open kitchen and a toilet. We are family of 3 with a teenage girl, so a double bed bedroom with a sofa bed is perfect for us. The apartment is sparkling clean, the kitchen provides cooking wear and table wear. However, there is no cooking oil, paper and salt.
We enjoyed staying there.

CuidamaohuanyouquanshijieAfter taking the bus from Sapporo to Asahikawa, I walked about 200-300 meters from the drop-off point and arrived at the hotel. Its location right next to Asahikawa Station is excellent. From there, you can easily catch a bus or subway to places like Furano and Asahikawa Airport. This hotel offers great value for money.

Toyoko Inn is a chain hotel, and I've stayed at this brand many times while traveling in Japan. Basically, all the facilities are the same, the service is consistent, and the prices are reasonable. It's neither surprising nor disappointing. The only downside is that the breakfast is really ordinary, but it's acceptable since it doesn't cost extra. This Asahikawa location is close to Heiwa-dori, making it convenient to find food and shopping. It's about a 10-minute walk to Asahikawa Station. Overall, I'm very satisfied. The only downside is that there are only two washing machines and dryers, so you have to wait until late to use them when fewer people are using them. If you're planning a trip to Asahikawa, this hotel is worth recommending.

The room was really small and the hotel itself was quite old. There's a hot spring bathhouse on the basement level, which is convenient for showering, and toiletries can be picked up for free in the lobby, which is well-stocked. There's a self-service laundry room on the ground floor; washing and drying are separate, and the dryer isn't very efficient, so plan your laundry time accordingly. The restaurant is on the top floor with a beautiful view, and the breakfast is very rich with daily rotating dishes – they put a lot of effort into it. The location is great, not far from Asahikawa Station, and dining is very convenient with many restaurants to choose from.

When searching for a hotel for a family of four, most hotels offer two king or queen-size beds, but this hotel had four single beds, which made for a very comfortable sleep. I think it would also be perfect for traveling with friends. The only drawback is that the shower room and toilet are small. We were able to compensate for this by going to a hot spring resort about a 5-minute walk away. If you're looking for a simple stay, I recommend this hotel.

This is a traditional, family-run inn that truly excels in hospitality and personal charm. I booked a room with a private bath; it was exceptionally spacious at nearly 40 square meters, and we had the entire floor to ourselves. Our private bath was conveniently located directly on the rooftop, situated at the highest point of the small hill, offering an amazing soaking experience. The family operates their own restaurant, and both breakfast and dinner were delightful. This was our children's favorite hotel of the entire trip, providing fantastic value for money. They even have a nostalgic 90s-era arcade! It's definitely a top choice for travelers on a self-drive trip. The owner and staff were incredibly warm, enthusiastic, and kind. A huge thank you once again for their wonderful hospitality!

The front desk staff were kind and polite. The other staff members also greeted me with smiles.
The room size was adequate, and the cleaning was thorough.
The hotel's parking lot had limited spaces, so I parked in a nearby affiliated paid parking lot, which was surprisingly far away. It was raining that day, so I got quite wet. It's best to check in early on rainy days.
The breakfast had a variety of Japanese and Western dishes, and I was satisfied. However, there didn't seem to be any milk available, so I would like to request that milk be provided with breakfast.
Overall, I was satisfied.
