GGuest UserThis hotel is really nice and conveniently located right on top of Sakura Machi mall, so there are plenty of food options and shops for shopping.
Right across the street is a pedestrian street, which is great for walking around. It’s not too crowded, so the atmosphere is quite relaxed.
There’s also a major bus stop right downstairs, which makes it super convenient—especially if you don’t have a car. If you’re traveling between cities, this is likely a main stop you’ll pass through.
For those who drive, you can find parking nearby. The hotel may offer parking discounts at certain locations, but I’m not entirely sure which ones.
The hotel itself is beautiful, modern, and smells really nice—feels new and well-maintained. Amenities are quite complete as well.
The bed and pillows were just okay, slightly leaning towards the uncomfortable side. However, the bathroom is excellent, with a separate standing shower and a small bathtub. The room I got was also quite cute, with a small sofa area, which was a nice touch.

MMingminnnnThe hotel is conveniently located near the city center, with shopping right downstairs. The triple room we stayed in was a decent size, but the bathroom drain had a really unpleasant, garlicky smell that I absolutely disliked. The public bath was a bit chaotic and not a hot spring; it had a strong bleach odor. You get what you pay for, I guess. The hotel's partner parking next door had a height limit, and the other partner lots were too far and not much cheaper. The next day, I just parked in the non-partner lot across the street, which was only about 200 yen more for the night.

Wwind0329Right out of the East Exit of the station, turn right and it's just a few minutes' walk. The bus stop is also at the East Exit, surrounded by malls and restaurants, making it super convenient. The front desk staff were warm and polite, and even helped me call to resolve an issue I had at their Miyazaki branch. The room was relatively spacious, and there's free coffee and tea in the lobby. Breakfast was also good. While other branches only start breakfast at 6:30 AM, here you can grab coffee and pastries from 6:00 AM, which is really convenient for travelers catching early trains. Toyoko Inn is always my first choice in Japan – great location, excellent service, good breakfast, and affordable prices. I'll definitely choose Toyoko Inn again in the future.

GGuest UserThe room was new and the service was good. You absolutely must try the complimentary 60-minute hot spring bath; although it's a large public bath, the environment is very comfortable. The location is a 3-minute walk from Suizen-ji Temple and about a 17-minute taxi ride from Kumamoto Castle. Breakfast and dinner were also delicious.

GGuest UserNice cosy hotel. Very clean and easy to check in. Convenience store just across the road. 5 mins drive to a major shopping mall. Has a small stove to cook and kitchen. But really small and dark though.
Otherwise room is very cosy and fits four of us well. Bathroom is clean and nice. Washer in the room too.
I can jog to kumamoto castle which is nearby.

SSoraChSuperb location! The room and bathroom are massive—way bigger than your typical business hotel. Breakfast was solid, and I got a lucky room with a view of Kumamoto Castle! Just a heads-up though: if you’re driving, it’s a hassle. You have to park in a separate building a block away.

GGuest UserThe hotel is located very close to near to the train station with AEON Mall just across the road. The hotel also provides sufficient parking space for guests. We appreciated the hospitality and professional services provided by the hotel staff. For the American breakfast, it’s yummy with various drinks. The hotel also provides free welcome drinks starting at 1600 hrs for guests. In terms of cost effectiveness, it’s ranked highest.

次次はどこI traveled around Kumamoto Prefecture by car. The hotel offered excellent parking facilities, and the staff were incredibly friendly, providing useful local information. From check-in to check-out, the front desk handled everything smoothly and courteously, making it a truly dependable hotel. Our room was spacious and comfortable. While the view from the window wasn't anything special, the quality of the hotel's services more than made up for it. The complimentary drink service after using the hot spring and the curry rice were absolutely perfect. This is definitely a place I'd love to revisit.

LLei，taoOverall, a fantastic stay! I really appreciated the complimentary drinks and the spacious bathtub in the room. The service was excellent, and I'll definitely be returning for another visit. My only minor critique is that the location isn't the most convenient, but despite that, I found the overall experience to be very satisfactory.
