This is the first hotel I stayed in in Namibia. It is located in the downtown area of Windhoek. Although it is not a bustling street, it is not far from the National Museum and Lutheran Gospel Church. It is more convenient to go out. The hotel is not big, but there is free parking. The hotel's house is a bungalow, the room is moderate, there is a big bed, the furniture is simple, but practical, and there are shower facilities in the bathroom. The hotel staff is kind and attentive, patiently explaining the various facilities in the room and the service time of breakfast. I am warmhearted that the hostess at the front desk learned that my passport was lost at the foreign currency exchange office at the airport. I immediately contacted the airport and helped me find the passport. I was excited and burst into tears. This is the mistake I made on the first day of my trip to Africa. Standard facility. Great location. Near to the international airport road. Breakfast was disappointing. Not advisable to include breakfast when booking. Otherwise, all other facilities were okay.

The hotel receptionist is kind and courteous, and there are welcome drink and wet towels available when checking in. The room is large and clean. Hotel location is good, next to large shopping malls and supermarkets, very convenient. For travelers who arrive in Namibia on the first day of a long journey by car, it is an ideal place to rest and prepare for a long journey afterward.

I had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Uhland during my visit to Windhoek. Although the furnishings are somewhat traditional, everything was well maintained and functional. The bed was comfortable, and I had a good night’s sleep every night. One of the highlights of my stay was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with transportation, local recommendations, or any questions I had. Their hospitality made me feel at home from the moment I arrived. Breakfast was another enjoyable part of the experience. The buffet offered a good selection of fresh fruit, bread, eggs, local specialties, and coffee, providing a satisfying start to each day. I also appreciated the hotel’s beautiful garden and outdoor swimming pool, which created a relaxing atmosphere. Overall, Hotel Uhland offers excellent value for money. It may not be a luxury hotel, but its cleanliness, friendly service, convenient location, and comfortable facilities make it an ideal choice for travelers visiting Windhoek. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a warm and affordable place to stay in Namibia.
