Mercure Hotel Windhoek
"Our hotel check-in experience was quite messy. We booked a room at Mercure, but upon arrival, we were directed to the adjacent Mövenpick for check-in. After waiting for half an hour, we were assigned a room, only to find it was a twin room. We went back to request a change, waited another half an hour, and were told there were no king-size beds available. Eventually, we were moved back to the Mercure. Apparently, other colleagues who also booked king-size rooms at Mercure initially received twin rooms as well. The breakfast arrangements were also unclear. For the first couple of days, we were told to go to Mövenpick for breakfast, but then a few days later, we were instructed to go back to Mercure."
Kate's Nest Guesthouse & Backpackers
"It was a very clean place with goog hospitality and welcoming Namibians there is no xenophobia in Namibia and all employees are trained i recommended any one to book at kates nest guest house "
Arebbusch Travel Lodge
"I had such a comfortable stay that I extended for an extra night, even though I had only booked two initially."
Avani Windhoek Hotel & Casino
"After staying for three days, I chose to continue staying because of the service and convenience. It was still great."
Hotel Uhland
"All in all, it's a good place for a day or two. Location is not too far from everything of interest, security is good. They have a pool and sell beers when shops are closed. AC and fridge worked perfectly well. No issues with hot water as well. Staff was great. My only complaint is the twin bed in a room marked as a double - even though it was clearly stated that there are twin beds, a double should have a double bed. My sleep was not too comfy in a setup with two small beds posing as one king/queen one. But overall I had a pleasant stay. Can recommend."
TaTe Village
"The sheets and pillowcases in the room seemed to have never been changed. It is recommended to bring disposable pillowcases and dirty sheets, or sleep in your clothes. Why did I choose this hotel? It's not because it's cheap, because I'm traveling alone, I can make friends, and I can travel together. As a result, no one came to share the room with me for 2 days. There is a supermarket nearby, but the price is expensive. You can take a taxi to the big supermarket in the city center to buy things. There are cheap and fresh things. Taxis are cheap, prepare change, they don't accept US dollars. The exchange rate at the airport is a little worse than the money exchange places in the city. If you want to change 50 to 100 US dollars, change it at the airport. It's more than 2 kilometers from the hotel. There are many places with slopes in the city. It is recommended to call a taxi and negotiate the price before getting on the car."

"I had an amazing stay at this guest house! From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warm hospitality and made to feel right at home. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing, making it the perfect place to unwind. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that everything was perfect throughout my stay. Their friendliness, professionalism, and attention to detail truly stood out. Every part of my experience exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this guest house to anyone looking for comfort, excellent service, and a welcoming environment. I will definitely be coming back. And for tours, and safari! Everything was well organized from start to finish. The accommodation was comfortable, clean, and welcoming, and the staff were incredibly friendly and professional. The tours and safari were the highlight of my trip. The guides were knowledgeable, passionate, and made sure everyone had a memorable experience while feeling safe throughout. Every moment was enjoyable, and I got to create unforgettable memories. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for excellent hospitality, exciting adventures, and outstanding service. Thank you for making my trip so special I can't wait to visit again!"
Livega House
"We booked the Livega House in Windhoek specifically because of its convenient location near Joe's Beerhouse. The reviews were promising, but unfortunately, our experience was quite different. We received a warm welcome upon arrival and had booked and already paid for an expensive Executive Suite on the rooftop with panoramic views over Windhoek. Instead, we were given a significantly cheaper standard room, which we immediately complained about. Since the reception closed at 5:00 PM and we arrived shortly after, no one could help us. The next morning, we contacted the office manager responsible for bookings and presented her our booking and payment confirmation. We were very rudely informed that their computer system had displayed a standard room instead of the more expensive Executive Suite we had booked and already paid for. We politely requested clarification and a refund of the overpayment but were very rudely dismissed with the explanation that it must have been a booking error. Since we needed to get to the airport in time for our connecting flight to Cape Town, we left a copy of our confirmation with the office manager, requesting clarification. The following weeks passed without any response from management. Livega House seemed to be deliberately ignoring the matter. Apparently, they didn't even deem it necessary to apologize or refund the difference. After months of email correspondence, to which management barely responded, the office manager finally admitted her mistake but tried to delay the refund as long as possible. Due to high bank fees for the transfer from Namibia to Germany, we received only a third of the originally owed amount after several months. It would have been professional for Livega House to have immediately admitted the error and refunded the difference. Because of these frustrating incidents and the poor management, we can only give this supposedly 5-star hotel 3 stars for the good food. Unfortunately, due to our negative and unprofessional experience, we Unprofecannot recommend this hotel and will definitely choose a different hotel on our next visit to Windhoek!"
Hilton Windhoek
"Beautiful hotel, clean and spacious room with two double beds. Comfortable bathroom with walk in shower. Friendly staff, especially the gentleman at the rooftop restaurant. The pizza was surprisingly amazing. Central and convenient location."

The Weinberg Windhoek
"Excellent hotel, attentive staff, clean and tidy rooms, next to super fish restaurant!"
Hotel Heinitzburg
"My business trip coincided with the Easter holiday, so I booked the Heinzberg Hotel. The hotel is quite unique. As it is an old hotel, the facilities are a bit old, but the service and scenery are really good, and it is worth it to experience it for one night."
Windhoek Country Club Resort
"Everytime we arrive the reception staff especially Sylvia and Sebastian greet us with a warm welcome.. nothing is ever too much if we ask … these guys make our experience worth coming back for"
Protea Hotel Windhoek Fürstenhof
"Wish I could give this a good review or even say it was average. Love the Protea Line of Hotels. Unfortunately, the rooms are outdated and worn. They moved us, as I was deeply concerned when the last time the Aircon Units had been cleaned in the first room. They appear to be updating room by room. They really need to invest more in property. The Staff were fine. The younger Staff were outstanding."
Our Habitas Namibia
"Overall, the service was good, but the presence of rats in the room was quite frightening."
Belvedere Boutique Hotel
"Very friendly staff. All rooms are furtnitured very nicely. The entire hotel complex is very well maintained and beautiful. The pool and its surroundings alone are a reason to stay here. Also enough place for parking. "
Hotel Pension Casa Africana
"This is a great place..up a hill and right opposite a first class hotel. Very nice management staff. Good breakfast. Nice coffee. I would stay their again. The photo on yripadvisor is not representative of Casa Africana"
Eden Self Catering Chalets
"We stayed for a night at Eden Chalets. It was a wonderful experience . They have nice restaurant . The owner was very helpful in assisting us with bag issues at the airport. "
Guesthouse Terra Africa
"We stayed here on the first day of our tour and again on the last. The rooms are fine and the breakfast is extensive. The garden is beautiful but could use some updating. Some chairs are broken and the pool looks dirty. The staff is helpful and friendly. We wanted to go into the “town” and they arranged a taxi service with Simon. He takes you there and picks you up because the guesthouse is too far to walk. We had lunch once. They have a small menu."
Hartmann Suites Serviced Self-Catering Apartments
"Loved staying here. Central location Helpful Comfortable Enjoyed our time here and would stay again!"
Hillside Executive Accommodation
"Standard facility. Great location. Near to the international airport road. Breakfast was disappointing. Not advisable to include breakfast when booking. Otherwise, all other facilities were okay."
Hilton Garden Inn Windhoek
"Wonderful stay, will definitely visit again! Thank you so much!!"
Villa Moringa Guesthouse
"Definitely not worth 5 stars! The entire building is extremely overdue. Broken chairs and sunbeds, mold running from the pools. The breakfast was very poor. Some fruit, white bread and yogurt without bowls to put it in. We had a good laugh about it and are glad we went out for a nice meal last night instead of eating here. The room was full of dead moths, but was okay for a night. Few staff walking around and those walking around can't even say hello."
House on Olof Palme
"We stayed in the House on Olof Palme for just one night, as a last stop before returning home. It was just a great experience: nice rooms, charming and welcoming, hosts, a super breakfast and plenty of tips for good restaurants thank you again for reserving a table in resto Stellenbosch, the steak was fabulous!), gaming possibilities (Daan Viljoen :)) and shopping! Dear Renette and Dries, thank you for your warm welcome and making our last night and day in Namibia a time we will cherish! All the Best from Belgium, Hélène, Paul and the boys."
