Mekong Lodge Resort

Stopped off here for lunch during a Tui/Marella cruise trip of the Mekong Delta. Great place with views of the river. Staff very attentive, took drinks orders quickly. Rather than a buffet for bus full of hungry tourists several plates were placed on the table to share around 5 people. "Dinosaur Egg" sticky rice was nice to see and tasted wonderful, nice mix of veg, fish and meat dishes. Large whole fish was on the table then taken away and put into spring rolls. Not switched on enough to take pictures, but fish tasted a lot better than it looked Hotel grounds looked lovely and very well kept while we passed through on way to ladies loos.

Made a one night visit to the Mekong from HCM city before finishing our Vietnam trip. The lodge was impressive. Environmentally aware and with caring staff this place is very neat. It is not flash but I really like the basic facilities. The rustic room was a pleasant change to the big hotel/resorts. We had a knowledgeable guide , Thong and he took us to meet the locals. The bike tour was extra fun.

Super nice setting where you can eat in the restaurant or enjoy the pool, meanwhile you watch the busy life on the Mekong. The garden is super nice with beautiful tropical vegetation. Nice and friendly staff, that will always do their very best to make you feel comfortable.

Good cleaning, good food, good help making different tours And sitting and looking at Mekong River is fantastic. Interesting place to stay to understand a bit more about the Mekong area. Worth doing the trips they offer. The lodges are quite rustic but clean and have everything you need. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Very nice and quiet resort hidden in the vegetation. A staff with the small care and very good dishes very accessible. A special thanks to all of staff, for they kindness and his availability! I strongly recommend this hotel. The resort is hidden in the trees, the food and drinks were good. We loved the pool. The stuff was always ready to help, we were a bigger group so we needed a boat to explore the island, they always helped us to arrange it for reasonable price.

This is the second time we stayed here during the break between Christmas and New Year. It was great. Service from arrival through check out was outstanding, room was comfortable, breakfast buffet plentiful and tasty, and facilities excellent. We’re hoping to visit more frequently as a relaxing and enjoyable getaway from the city. The only thing that could be improved might be more affordable meal options, apart from the breakfast buffet. While there are a number of places on site they’re a bit pricey, though nothing unexpected from a first rate river resort. A minor consideration.

It's a really nice and peaceful place! The cottages, the swimming pool, the outside are beautiful. I love to sit at the riverside restaurant and to look at the sunset. The food is delicious and really local. I do recommend this lodge.

Absolutely beautiful location, stunning gardens and fantastic service. We stayed here for 2 nights on our way through the Mekong. I can honestly say from start to finish the service was outstanding due to the exceptional Minh. He was helpful, courteous, informative and knowledgeable, and made our stay there an experience we will never forget. He arranged a private boat tour to the Tan Phong island which was just amazing. We learnt so much about the Mekong, the culture and the history of the Vietnamese from him. I would highly recommend this exceptional place during your stay in the Mekong

Nice welcoming place next to river so you can enjoy the cathartic activity of boat / barge spotting. Some boats are noisy and the river runs 24hrs a day. We enjoyed a check in earlier than expected however the room had been hastily changed over and there was plenty of evidence of the previous occupants. It was also clear that the room had not been properly cleaned for a while. The lodge is remote (part of its appeal) and usual access is by boat from the tourist harbour Cai Be about 5 mins away. You can cycle in and out from town about 10mins. Breakfast is good the pancakes seemed better than previous reviews. We only had 1 meal in the restaurant. The menu was comprehensive and food generous, expensive compared to our usual local choices but the place is set up to make money out of tourists it is a business after all. The pool is fantastic which our 9yr old daughter lived in. The tables riverside are ideal to watch the sunset over the river. We didn't participate in any centre led activities instead we took some bikes out and made our own fun. The CHICKENS, well the Cockerel also works 24hrs a day so the peaceful night of barges humming up and down the river is interrupted regularly and the bird has no volume control. I don't think they add to the appeal of the place or are necessary to retain its eco credentials. I suggest they eat them. In summary would defo visit again, great break fro the city and the usual frenetic pace of Vietnamese life. Don't expect 5 star luxury, don't expect shopping malls, website photos are better than reality (like normal). Boat watching is addictive. If you have the ability and imagination, take a bike out for the day, take the ferry to the island opposite the lodge (from tourist harbour) and enjoy local life.
