The three-bedroom house is very suitable for a family trip. There are two large suites, one single bedroom with bathroom, and one double bedroom with bathroom. The room and bathroom are very spacious and bright, and the kitchen is fully equipped for cooking. It is very convenient for family travel and comfortable and free. There is a small swimming garden downstairs to enjoy the cool at night. The store owner is very considerate and will take the initiative to send an umbrella when it rains. The supermarket nearby is very convenient and can be reached on foot.

The landlord's service is really good. It was raining outside and saw that we didn't have enough umbrellas, so he took the initiative to send umbrellas, and answered every inquiry carefully. The location is a bit out of the way, 20 minutes walk to the city center, but the price is reasonable

They were very kind. They were warm, smiling and easy to interact with. No matter what I asked or requested, he listened. Kitchen utensils such as plates, cooking utensils, spoons, forks, dish towels, etc. were available, which was helpful. There's also a washer and dryer, so you'll only need a minimum of clothes. I would like to make a reservation again.

The flight was early so I was prepared for a wait before I could access my room at Koala Court. While still at the airport I received an SMS from John about accessing the keys, so I crossed my fingers and asked about an early check-in. I was lucky that the previous occupants had checked out early and the cleaner was just finishing the floor, so I could catch a cab direct to the hotel and start my stay. This trip was a mix of business and pleasure, so I appreciated the quiet room and handy access to bus stops for trips into the centre of Cairns (which can also be easily walked) as well as north to Trinity Beach and Palm Cove. When I spoke to Noutekh about (a) extending my stay (b) transfer to airport and (c) returning for an extended stay in a few weeks, she was totally awesome in making these things happen. Koala Court isn't five star, but it's great value for money. Above all else, it's the friendly service that counts more than anything else.

Nice condo in Cairns, cheap and easy to check in. They could provide more amenities although. A little bit far from the city center, you must have a car. The accommodation has a car park, free. We did not use the pool. Does not include breakfast.

Absolutely brilliant service when booking a tour. Polite and knowledgeable. Gave us useful information regarding local places, where to eat, etc. Looked at accommodation, and it was very tempting. Unfortunately we were already booked into another less savoury place. Highly recommend

Firstly, it was all barred up, like some kind of prison. Looked rough. It was very basic. No TV channels, no Netflix, nothing. There was a 90s dvd player but no dvds... Everything was dated, from the cooker to the AC unit. It was dirty. Stains on the blinds. Bowl that was used as an ashtray. Smoke detector covered up with a carrier bag. Room definitely was smoked in.... The bed was 2 singles pushed together that constantly rolled around the room. No head board. Uncomfortable. The scenic railway passes right next to the rooms so you'll be woken up with its horn if you sleep later than 8am. Staff uninformative when asking about things in the area, just palming off 50 different leaflets to us and told to read them. Given 2 star as didn't use the pool so can't comment on that. Used as a base for our travels in Cairns. Location was adequate.

We stayed here for a total of 9 nights. Six nights then 3 nights, with a 9 day tour in between. We stayed in two different apartments. Both apartments were very clean and well maintained, each with different furnishings because of the different ownership, but each well furnished. Both had comfortable beds and all the necessary items for self-catering. The grounds and pool were well maintained, although we didn’t use the latter because of the cooler weather we experienced. The apartments are about 1.7 km from the Cairns Central shopping centre, which is walkable and about the same distance to the Esplanade shopping area. All are walkable, but having a car is an advantage. Secure covered parking is available with a coded gate. There is road noise, particularly at peak times, but it is not intrusive with the windows closed and is quiet at night. The occasional train and aeroplane is heard, but also are not intrusive. The Managers John and Noutekh were friendly and very helpful and accommodating, particularly with assistance during our break between the stays. Definitely value for money. It was a very pleasant place to stay.

We had a really nice and clean 2 bedroom apartment on the second floor. The living/dining/kitchen area was huge and the beds were comforable. We swam a couple of times in the well maintained pool. Not too far from a small grocery store and a few restaurants. Our day trips to Karumba and The Great Barrier Reef were willing to pick us up here despite not being downtown.

Cannot recommend this place enough, I will be booking my future accommodation at Koala Court when I'm next in Cairns. John (the manager) was extremely kind and helpful in every way possible, carrying our luggage and even dropping us off at the airport when the uber kept cancelling on us. All of the rooms were spacious and very clean. Its a little old school but it has been well maintained. We were in town for a conference, so the walk into town was always a nice start to the day. Thank you for having us!

We are a family of 5 (with 2 teens and a pre-teen). We stayed in a three-bedroom apartment (Unit 12). We really appreciated coming back each day to this spacious, air-conditioned, comfy haven in the suburb of North Cairns after our adventures on the Great Barrier Reef, Daintree rainforests and the Atherton Tablelands. We loved the convenience of the fully-equipped kitchen to prepare healthy meals each day, laundry with washer and dryer, and two bathrooms for our busy family. It was great to sit around the open-plan dining and lounge areas to eat, chat and relax together. Wonderful to have the verandah, kitchen and dining area overlooking the pool. The gardens and pool are immaculately maintained. We cannot praise the hospitality of John and Noutekh Whitfield enough. When we were unexpectedly delayed in our return to the apartment due to maintenance issues with the Kuranda train en route to Cairns, our large grocery delivery arrived from the supermarket. Upon our return to Koala Court Apartments, we were relieved and delighted to discover that they had kindly rescued the groceries into our apartment and even put the refrigerated items safely in the fridge. We highly recommend Koala Court Holiday Apartments. It is a 5-minute stroll to Sheridan Street where there is a small local supermarket, 24-hr convenience store and a variety of restaurants. It is also an easy 18 minute walk along McLeod Street to the major Cairns Central shopping centre and train station. The Reef Fleet Terminal is a 25 minute walk or an 8 minute taxi ride or you can catch bus 111 from nearby Sheridan Street. Tour companies that did pick-ups/drop-offs all had no trouble including Koala Court Apartments in their route. In short, it’s a great place to stay for families who would like a quieter but still convenient place to stay than the busy central Cairns area.
