Summer Hotel

Sumer hotel calella . Location 20/25 minutes from train station that takes you to Barcelona ( 1H ) Cost is €11.80. Easy to get to and back . Many shops and restaurants in the area. Hotel , swimming pool area is small . Alcoholic drinks are there but cocktails are weak. The walls are so thin you can hear people , talking , shouting even snoring . The door slams , sometimes hard to get into your room . Food is eatable but not the greatest , the selection is also poor . In the morning only juice / coffee/ water is available no sodas . Hotel will charge you tourist tax . The safe for your belonging is chargeable and not included in all inclusive package €5 a day ! . Only 1 lift in the building . Rooms are ok but the sink is made of light up glass and you can see the stains on it . There was no kettle in our room , no coffee or tea . There is an empty fridge , hand soap and shampoo/gel . So be prepared to bring your own. Balcony is big has a table and 2 chairs .

What a lovely little hotel. 5 floors, I think? Quite small restaurant and pool area, but lovely staff, who are very welcoming and it’s so clean! Not sure the pool area would cater for a full hotel, but beach (with amazing sand - not that sticky type, you end up taking home…and back to work…and still find stuck to you at Christmas 🤣) is not far at all. A good selection of food. Slept like a log, the rooms are so quiet and comfy. Shame couldn’t get any UK TV channels in the room for the night we just wanted to chill in the room, but no massive biggy. Definitely want to go back as Calella is gorgeous!

Very clean hotel rooms cleaned every day .food was good all staff there from cleaners to kitchen staff very friendly would definitely go back to this hotel .kids took to carol at the bar there she speaks good English and very polite

Nice room although poorly lit. Air con was good. Walls very thin! I could hear the gent next door snoring! Pool area nice and clean. Staff are all friendly, drinks are ok on the all inclusive with generous measures. The dining room is absolute chaos, noisy and crowded-really not a relaxing dining experience. Food is poor and runs out quickly, breakfast has a limited amount of cooked items which on three out of five days of our stay had run out. Precooked food is cold and really not appetising. Calella centre is a short walk and the station to Barcelona is about 25 mins away. There was a bbq one lunchtime which was ok. You need to vacate your room at 10am and all inclusive ends at 12 midday on day of departure. All in all, a very average hotel, staff nice, food poor. Wouldn’t return.

Me and my partner came for 3 days with another couple. Upon arrival the reception staff were super friendly and helpful, explaining meal and bar times and all the amenities on offer. The lobby was very clean and well laid out. We were early for check in so they looked after our bags whilst we went to explore the local area. Upon our return we were given our keys and told our bags had been put in our rooms for us. We had 2 rooms between the 4 of us, and both rooms were well presented and clean. That afternoon and evening we stayed in the hotel and made use of the all inclusive bar and snacks. The bar staff were once again friendly with a good knowledge of the drinks they had on offer. The buffet was small but varied and the food was good quality too. The waiting staff were very efficient and welcoming. Our rooms were right next to the lobby and unfortunately that evening the guests in there were very noisy - singing and shouting which did disrupt our sleep but nothing too severe and didn’t continue too late. The next morning, our friends noticed a lot of ants in their room but the cleaners rectified this instantly and no more were seen after that. On the second day we decided to go to Barcelona for the day, the front of house staff were brilliant and very helpful explaining how to get to the train station, costs and frequency of the trains too. Every time you saw a member of staff they were always cheerful and any ask was never too big. Overall, for the cost of our stay it was more than worth it. All agreed we’d absolutely come back to Summer Hotel. Thanks for a great trip!

We are just on our way to the airport following our stay and enjoyed our stay that much that I needed to leave a review before even lifting off on our flight. The staff are generally excellent, friendly and speak very good English. The manager was amazing and looked to make sure his guests were all happy and satisfied. One barman was a little dismissive on one of the days, but excellent the rest of the time so I put this down to him just having an off day like we all do sometimes. One of the young barmen even gave us a lift into town at the end of his shift after we asked what bars would be open late. Above and beyond. The all inclusive was excellent, plenty of options at almost all meal times, the snacks from the bar were tasty and filled your belly between mealtimes. The drink options were plentiful. Our room was cleaned daily, was spacious and mattresses were comfortable enough for myself, but a little on the firm side for my wife. Overall we had a great stay for our 5th wedding anniversary, not really anything to complain about whatsoever. We will definitely be back to this wonderful hotel!

Honestly couldn't recommend this hotel enough! The rooms are a lovely size and was perfect for what we needed. The pool is a lovely size and was always kept clean and sunbeds were always available. The all inclusive options for food were always varied and cooked well, always seating available. The hotel is in a great location and just a short walk from the beach and the town. The drinks options on all inclusive are great. There is no entertainment at the hotel but as we were looking for a quiet holiday this was perfect. The biggest selling point is the staff, they're all so friendly and couldn't do enough for us while we were there, especially the manager we will definately be back again!

Really nice hotel, better than expected, room was nice, beds were big, food was really nice with good choice, staff friendly, good choice of drinks and coctails included. Only a few minutes walk to beach and town. Would definitely go again especially at the same cost, was really good value.
