"I would have like to have been informed prior to my booking that the hotel would be housing a large group of male guests during my stay. As a female I felt uncomfortable at times when large groups of young men gathered in the lobby and entrance to the hotel, it was intimidating having to walk through the groups. When I book a holiday I expect to feel safe and relaxed at my hotel, sadly I did not feel this way during my stay."

The cleaning staff cleaned and made our bed every day and I had no complains! They were very helpful when we came to ask about transportation. "What a dump. We didn’t expect the lap of luxury with a 3* hotel ( although in Italy 3* are usually basic but fabulous ) but this really is a dump. In fairness the rooms were as clean as they could be but you can’t polish turds. This ‘hotel’ is more like a hostel for groups of kids on football trips .. and I’m sure they love it. The pool is a good size. The food mass catered was very basic and most of it on the floor as packed in with groups of youngsters. But had I been staying for longer that 3 nights I would have had to move. The bathroom was falling apart. The shower actually dangerous as literally boiling hot intermittently. There was no drawer in the bed side cabinet. The walls must be cardboard as could hear every hacking cough, everyone pulling a case, and could smell the fag smoke from the people next door through the hole in the ceiling in the bathroom.. So this is not a hotel. It is a hostel. Spend a bit more and I also wouldn’t recommend Calella which has an old square but that’s it. Benidorm is positively posh in comparison. Plus the transport from the airport took 2 hours .."

"After check in we went to the room which had dirty sheets so we got another room w a leaking toilet and a broken lamp. Had to go down to ask for more toilet paper also they didn’t clean our room for 6 days and we never got out towels changed. You had to ask in the reception if you wanted cleaning. The terrace was really bad and dirty. Says it’s wifi in the room which it’s NOT. Only in the lobby. Some days there was non English speaking staff in the reception which lead us nowhere. But the English speaking staff were nice and service minded. The ceiling paint in the room is falling off. No air condition but a really nice and good working fan in our room."

"Good location, bus drop off is a few minutes walk. Hotel was clean, a bit outdated but was barely in the room. Close to the main street and beach. Can hear alot of noise in other rooms. Great pools for kids not alot of sunbeds. Great entertainment for kids the entertainment staff where fantastic. Breakfast was good, and a good selection. Dinner i wouldn't rate. Much of the same thing, not alot for kids, especially a picky eater was much the same every night. I asked at reception was it the same each night they told me no, I asked was there a idea of what would be on to know to eat out or not, the lady at reception asked why I advised my child wouldn't eat what was there. She told me to give her fruit for dinner. And was quite rude. I just left it and ate out. Loads of places near by. But I'd paid for dinners in the hotel prior. Pool bar food and drinks where Great and affordable also. It's separated. The transfer booked with love holidays can take up to 3 hours each way but the airport is only 35/40 mins away, with stops and waiting on their time tables. I'd sort my own again. Was a lovely relaxing holiday and had all the basics that where needed, but I wouldn't return."

"One of the nicest hotels in Calella. It has perfect sea-view, good food (not too many but very tasty), clean and comfy rooms, nice rooftop pool and lounge area. Close to train station (max.10 minutes' walk) and city center (shops, bars). Price-quality definitely worth it. We will surely come back. If we did not have plane tickets, we would have stayed more."

"what a mistake to book my holiday from Loveholidays. they offered me a 4 star nice hotel plus flight and I purchased the holiday package . When we arrived at the hotel, thy put me and my partner in a damp room unlike the picture we saw with a horrible smell from detergents and bathroom .plus lots of noises of kids and drunk guests shouting around the corridors till 4 am. Next morning the reception staffs refused to change our room, so I called and complained to the provider. they called the hotel and finally they moved us to the top floor where there were better rooms. My room did not have heating at all and I slept with jacket and hoodies , no hotel style pillows or comfortable mattresses or duvets, just basic blanket and flat pillows. Still lots of noises specially at nights, very crowded hotel , so if you want a quiet place to rest and relax this hotel is not for you. Foods were good, nice buffet. We had breakfast and dinner included. To use indoor pool you need to pay 13 euros each person 40 minutes max. Parking is 13 euros a day. Overall the quality of this hotel is like motels and its hygiene is questionable. Why would this hotel earned 4 stars is another mystery. I am very regretful to book this hotel and would NOT recommend it."

"Lovely clean friendly hotel! Great food, great service! Very well maintained. Rooms were a bit dated, bed dipped in the middle, but was still comfy! Nice tiled bathroom! Flat screen TV, plenty of storage, and air conditioned. I liked the authentic style. The choice of drinks & prices were good!"

"Super nice located just 10 minutes walk from Calella beach. We stayed a few days during Ironman and we were all surprised by the 5-star service minded people hosting us during our stay. Past 28 years I’ve been working as a traveling salesman living in nice hotels on weekly basis and have never meet a more service minded crew than at this camping! (Never thought I would rate a camping with 5-stars) I would strongly recommend this place, and 100% surely will stay here again next time I visit Calella "

"Stayed for 5 days over the Ironman weekend, as my son was competing. Hotel was good, good location just up off the beach front ( about 10-15 min walk). Rooms were spacious and comfortable but a little bit tired, the premier rooms were lovely but didn’t like the bathroom. Food was good but not a lot of choice for children. Pool and pool area were good clean and lots of beds. Would stay again Thank you x"

"Very nice stay at Safari Aparthotel for Ironman Barcelona 2023. All staff is very friendly and helpfull, rooms are nice and confortable and the location is very close and convenient to the beach. The Safari restaurant next to the hotel is very convenient and food is excellent (great paella). Staff at the restaurant is also very friendly. If I need to go back to Calella, I will come back again both at the hotel and restaurant"
