From start to finish the experience was great. Communication from Joanne and Tim has been fab, emails back and forth with any questions or concerns which is very much appreciated. The house was a great hen party house having so much of everything, plates, cutlery, 2 fridges etc. The beds were super super comfy and everything honestly was just great. We all said we can’t wait to come back with our families. Thank you Jo & Tim for a great stay! X

Would absolutely recommend Stainsborough hall. We hired all the cottages (17 adults and 10 kids under 5) and it was perfect. The communal area was great too, had everything we needed to join together for meals. Lots to keep the kids entertained - swings, sheep in the fields, tennis court. We also had pizza pi mobile catering come on Saturday day and she could set up in the car park and that worked really well.

Had a wonderful long weekend at Stainsborough cottages, celebrating special birthdays with the family. The cottages are lovely and cosy and the shared facilities are excellent. Loved drinking my morning coffee looking at the gorgeous view! We were really well positioned for local attractions too. Would highly recommend!

This was my first visit to Stainsborough Hall and it was organised a year ago with friends for my birthday. I thought it almost wouldn't happen as we had a few drops out but we rallied and kept the Easter dates. The place was far more beautiful than I imagined, the rooms spacious with stunning views. My friends and I enjoyed the tranquility of the hall and there was an adventure of the 12km walk. I felt I was in a modern stately home. Tim and Joanne were communicative, friendly, accommodating; and kindly left some Easter eggs. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a long weekend or week away. Thank you for one of the best birthday gatherings experienced!

We travelled to the cottages as a group of 16 adults with three young children (and three dogs!) and had a lovely time. The cottages were well equipped and very clean when we arrived and they suited us very well. My only comment would be that the communal dining/kitchen area was very cold and although heaters were provided it was still quite chilly! The other cottages were all lovely and warm though, so we ended up socialising in one living area instead. Not a problem as they were all lovely but just some feedback.

Well, I absolutely do not know where to start. This has been the best weekend ever in the most incredible and luxurious Stainsborough hall. It was a weekend for my entire family, so 12 adults and 2 children ( age 5 and 1.5). The hall is reached from a long driveway with fields either side. You drive past the cottages that are part of the estate, through a beautiful archway, and there it is, quite frankly the most beautiful house. There is parking for 10 cars. The hall is huuge. It is over 3 floors. The kitchen is absolutely stunning, and so bright. It leads onto a large dining room with 2 very long banqueting tables. There is a room with a pool table, we had lots of fun in there πŸ˜ƒ. There are 2 downstairs cloakrooms, a utility room which has a large overflow fridge/ freezer, washing machine and dryer, microwave, air fryer , ice cream maker ( and lots more) when I say they have thought of everything, they truly have πŸ‘. There is a boot room with a very warm boiler room, this was great for drying our shoes. There is underfloor heating, for such a large house, it was lovely and warm. There are 2 extremely stunning sitting rooms, one with a piano and open fire, and the other has a wood burning stove. We didn't light either of these as the house was warm. All the bedrooms were just incredible. Crisp cotton bedding, very comfy beds. Blackout blinds at the windows. Fluffy towels for every room. All bathrooms and shower rooms had shower gels, hand soap, shampoo and conditioner. There are 10 bedrooms, and I've lost count of how many shower rooms/ toilets 🀣. The gardens are breathtaking, and again everything has been thought of. There's a little slide and a couple of swings for the children, and a tree swing for the big children πŸ˜‰. The hot tub is log fired and would seat around 10 people . We spent a lot of time in there, so wonderful. A fire pit is also provided. We lit that on Saturday night and made smores πŸ˜‹. There is a tennis court, and a large outside room with a table tennis table πŸ“. There is nothing that hasn't been catered for. The kitchen is so well stocked with crockery, cutlery, utensils, glasses for indoor use, and plastic ones for outside. There's a dishwasher, nespresso coffee machine, you name it, it's more than likely going to be there. The owners of this beautiful property Joanne and Tim were great with all the booking and communication. The onsite managers Wendy and Chris were the loveliest and most helpful people ever and certainly couldn't do enough for us. Any queries we had were dealt with immediately. Thank you so much both of you it was lovely to meet you, you are a huge asset to Stainsborough hall for sure πŸ’—. If you want somewhere to make memories and have the best time, then this is it, look no further. It is worth every single penny. I really hope that we can all return again one day, but for now Stainsborough hall, farewell, you have a very special place in all our

We have had such a lovely stay here. I don’t normally write reviews but felt compelled to write one for here. Spotlessly clean and well stocked accommodation. Beautiful setting and a great plus for our Clyde (golden retriever) as he had a whole field to himself just yards from our cottage! Hosts very attentive, friendly and so helpful. They responded quickly and efficiently to any of our questions. This place is highly recommended.

As a group of 19 girls in our 30's, we stayed in the hall at Stainsborough Hall for two nights for a hen party weekend. When searching for a venue, compared to other large houses this one offered rooms that were all nice, where none of the girls would be hard done by crammed into a tiny room with bunk bed! Another factor was the price which was very competitive, along with a reasonable booking fee & damage deposit compared to a lot of other companies that put me straight off with how disproportionate they were. I can't say enough positive things about our stay, the house and its owners. From the moment we arrived, Tim helped us with anything we needed. Everyone was blown away by the house and the grounds, which were even nicer in person than in the pictures (as lovely as they are), it definitely has the wow factor. Leading up to the the stay and throughout, communication was really helpful and clear, the handbook was useful to plan ahead and a nice touch. The bride-to-be was over the moon and even shed a tear as it surpassed her expectations. The decor and quality of all rooms was immaculate and felt recently renovated, spacious, luxurious and clean, everything you'd need and more facilities wise, bedding was great, plenty bathrooms. The extra touches like the Bakewell tarts and bottles were just lovely πŸ™‚ The log fired hot tub outside was fab and games room that we could use was a great extra facility, which we'd have used more if we'd been there longer! We arrived in a large coach which couldn't stop right outside the house due to the single lane road, although annoying it wasn't a big issue for us, and added to the fun of being in such a nice rural area and only meant a couple of mins walk with our bags (which Tim kindly helped us all with!) Would advise at least one person in the group to have a car just in case. We spent a lot of time congregated in the huge kitchen which was perfect for us all socialising, the soundbar was easy to plug our hen party playlist into. We used the tennis court one day for a mini sports day which was hilarious, and had pub lunch at the Miners Arms which I'd recommend to visit too, very good food. Everyone had THE most amazing weekend. To anyone thinking of booking, don't hesitate as this was one of the best places a lot of us said we've stayed for a hen party/large group staycation. Would love to come back. 10/10! Thank you :)πŸ‘
