Zafiro Can Picafort

Perfect stay in Zafira Can Picafort with our little baby. Special thanks to the entertainment team: Aiman became the best friend of our baby boy and was always available to help with everything we needed. Pepe gave us a very good morning stretching session. We also loved the restaurant - large choice, food of good quality and kids friendly dishes.

I last reviewed this hotel on 14/04/23. I asked for a heated pool and boy did they deliver. A proper sized heated swimming pool with lanes. First class and used all holiday by my son, thanks Zafiro. Other upgrades included Bali beds away from the 18+ pool, again a huge win for my family. I find it hard to be critical as this is a superb family focussed hotel.

Hubby, myself, and 3 year old grandson came here for a week on 20th Oct, on an all inclusive package, we upgraded to the penthouse, which was fantastic. Grandson loved having a jacuzzi, as the three swimming pools were freezing. For food, breakfast is in the buffet hall, there's lots to choose from, the kids have their our plastic plates, bowls, beakers, and cutlery in buffet hall. For dinner, you can go back to the buffet hall. we never used this, as if you could go to the snack/pool bar and sit and be waited on and pick like a bar meal, which were lovely. Evening meals were in the buffet hall, which had different themes every night. There is also an a la carte restaurant (snack/pool bar through the day). We went on our last night and the food was lovely. We were always at the playpark, which is centred to buffet hall, snack/pool bar, and entertainment stage. We had a fantastic time and would definitely go back.

We’ve just returned from the Zafiro Caan Picafort. Jet 2 have been faultless, a great flight there and back. The pool area was great, a definite 4 star. The kids (6, 5, 18 months) all loved it. Adults can’t use the pirate slides but we can go on the bubble and wave slider (watch your neck on this, seriously!!) The hotel itself should be rated 3 star. No welcome drink. Such a small gesture would go a long way after a day of travelling. Food ok, not great. Your typical buffet, however would be better with themed nights, but these don’t happen. The sausages, beans and bacon aren’t to the English taste. We went to the A La Carte, best meal we had, so definitely get booked on to this. Fizzy drinks were flat in the Pool Bar for at least 4 days. When reported they said they were aware. Air con- rooms ok. However if you would like a drink in the lounge room, or like to stand at Reception without sweating, avoid. Don’t even ask about the toilets in these areas- saunas! Nightmare when you have little ones. We experienced several power cuts on our stay (actually too many power cuts), some off for a minute or two, some for a lot longer. This cut off air con everywhere, literally sweating to get a drink; the pump drinks stop working. Be prepared for this. No air con in restaurant either. For a nice hotel with Jet 2 rating as 4 plus the air con really needs to be addressed in these areas. Another huge issue is the mini disco happening in the pool at 5pm. We’ve never experienced this with other hotels anywhere. It meant the little ones couldn’t get dressed in their best to dance and run round a little (other places have this at 7pm at least!) To wait in the pool until 5pm each day from a day in the sun really isn’t cutting it. Other issues were safes not being big enough, apparently you can get a laptop in there!? But when you have chunky iPads and other electrical it only fits your documents and money! Due to covid they removed their paper menus so you have to take your phone to the bars to see the menu using their QR code. Not everyone wants to take their phone to the pool every day! Some staff not as happy to be there as others. In one of our rooms the door lock was ropey. Be sure to check this. The town/ beach is a 10 minute walk away, however unpleasant scenic route to get there. We much preferred the beaches in Alcudia. Overall we had a nice time but very let down by the air con and mini disco issues and power cuts. We reported everything to the manager, Tony, but all was only greeted by a smile and head nod. I hope he took on board our comments to create a better stay for others.

Just back from the most amazing family holiday at Zafiro in Can Picafort, Mallorca. I’d absolutely stay again. Loads for our son (7) to do, animation team kept him entertained all day if he wanted. We had a private pool room and it was so worth it as a real treat. We stayed and hotel was at 95% capacity but it didn’t feel crowded at all. No fighting for Sun loungers, pool wasn’t crowded, loads of space. Staff couldn’t do enough to help and make your stay amazing. Food was outstanding, lots of variety and super tasty quality food, freshly cooked. Everything is centred around making your stay exceptional. We will absolutely be back!!! Special thanks to Ninel in the restaurant, Diego, Laura and Linnea in Mini Club. They are faultless in their entertainment and enthusiasm.

Hotel was 4 min drive from an excellent beach. Close to local shops etc. the room was slightly dated but there were good day and evening entertainment. The pools were cold in October but we braved it.

For adults slightly far from beach and also restricted pool timings and no activity in evenings. Shows decent but lacklustre. Could possible return with grandchildren but not as a couple trip. Multiple alternative on beach hotels nearby.

A lovely hotel and facilities very good with all the staff willing to help. The only downside was the a la carte which had limited deserts to choose from as this was the end of the season and it was a winding down procedure

There was something for everyone. Had a resort feel. Didn’t feel the need to leave the hotel. Pools were great and my hrs don was always entertained. The kids pool with the pirate ship was great for the little ones. Water was cold though in all the pools,
